"Not into that type of thing."

The shadow man grunted as its grip would slacken for a brief moment and fall over the man, because you know, low blows do hurt unless you were a monk from the Shaolin Temple who go through rigorous training like tieing a large stone weight to your testicles and then dragging it around all day. However, the wings would not unfurl, they would remain wrapped around the two.
And a moment later, the flames simply got hotter as the shadowman's features yet again became more beastial, its red eye showed flecks of grey. And then it would try to grab a handful of cloth of the man's shirt in both hands.

As much as he hated low blows, it had been the most convincing idea to present itself at the time for getting prettyboy to back off a little. Apparently it wasn't working, and, to refresh:Prettyboy was digging his fingers into Joshua's left arm. Prettyboy was making swipes with his right. The both of them were wrapped up in a big, hot, cocoon of love. heart The first order of business was dealing with the claws aimed at his face. This was accomplished at the same time as dealing with the left arm, as well, in that Joshua brought his arms up, over, and down on the outside of the shadowman's; forcing them down against his sides rather than grasping at him like they were. He pulled his arms in firmly as soon as this was done, attempting an arm lock with shadowman's arms trapped between his sides and the crooks of his arms. Neither of them would be able to use their hands... but that's what makes it fun, isn't it?
Joshua stepped forwards with his right, pulling back his shoulders as much as he could to try and draw the shadowman closer - for a headbutt.
The flames could wait... the burns weren't serious yet, but the funny thing about fire was that it consumes all of the oxygen in the air. They weren't physical right now, but many of the properties of this existence mirrored the real world. Eventually, shadowman would have to breathe.

As the man's head would smash into the shadowman's face, its head would move forward recieve the blow on the crest of the skull before fly backwards and tilt slightly for a second as the flaming wings seemed to get thick, like goop before it would come swinging right back. And in that moment, the eye in its angry face would appear more grey than red.
Shadowman was pretty determined not to let the man get away this time, and within seconds, the goopy wings which was once crimson flames would solidify into a hard stone shell, the wings of course, would have turned to magma during that transition.
As for the returning headbutt, shadow man's body would be rock hard.
And even as its arms were trapped around the man's side and arms, the forearms began to crust over with large sharp jagged pieces of stone, and then it would begin to twist and pull, like many rough blades into the man's sides.

A head covered with rock? That's a headache just waiting to happen. Though when the entire fight consists of two heads and little else, there's not much that can be done other than to keep swinging. Inside of that shell of his, there was very little mobility between the two of them and they had to go with what was available.
He craned his head to the side to partially avoid the stoanhead, turning a full-on smash into a glancing blow. Instead, he brought his right leg up in a knee to the abdomen this time. Then another with a slight hop added to it. If the wings had turned from magma to stone by this point, then he would take his opportunity - jumping and tucking both knees to his chest, leaning back, and slamming his heels against the shadowman's shoulders. He'd release the shadowman's arms, not because of his own blood running down them now, but because in this position one of two things would happen: either the wings would continue to trap them in, in which shadowman would be pinned against a wall created by his own body, or the wings would be pried open and they both would get a little breathing room.

A dull thud struck the shadow man's stone body as its leg would rise up in response to the knee, not to block the second incoming knee which of course, also struck the body, but rather to stomp down on the ground.
And just then, as the man would jump up and press his back against the inside of the wings and his feet would fly towards the shadow man, a small pillar, like three inches in diameter or so, of solid rock would sprout from beneath the man to smash upwards with enough force to flip a car into the center of his spine in the brief moment he was stuck in performing the booting, just before the wings would open up and the two bodies would be seperated, probably tossing the man upwards at the same time in the motion.

Star finish!
...or something similar. Whatever fate befell the shadowman, the unshadowman was sent skywards even as he went back, being knocked by a stone pillar almost like a rag doll. Needless to say, there was no graceful landing from this one.
He landed face-down a dozen or so feet away, scraping his arms and knees under him as soon as he could. The fire had nearly disintigrated his shirt, and while it had hung on before because of the pressure, there was little keeping the bloodsoaked rag on anymore. Splatters of blood covered the ground between where he was and where he had been, from the gashes left in his sides by the shadowman.
If he hadn't been so detatched he might have actually made a sound in responce to the pain... as it was that last blow had almost made him lose his concentration on the barriers holding the agents of death at bay - things like that shouldn't be allowed to happen.
"He... hehe.. NICE!"
He was smiling.

The shadow man stumbled a few steps back as the two were seperated, the small pillar of rock crumbling after it reached its hihest point as it caught its balance, digging its wing tips into the ground and then began to advance, though rather slowly since of course, its body was like, coated in stone and all.
And then it would swing its right hand overhead, launching the coating of jagged stone off of its arm at the downed man.

He didn't bother dodging this time, not like the other times. He simply raised his arm and batted it away with the metal bracer as he regained his footing.
This guy... he was rough, but he had a lot of potential hidden in there. It made things interesting.
"Hey, prettyboy!" Joshua shouted, crouching down like a runner at the blocks, "I'm starting to like you."
Then, with a sudden push, the man took off running dead ahead towards the opponent at a dead sprint.

Following the right arm, it then swung its left arm to hurl the stone at the man. However, he man had moved and was already advancing, so the chunk of jagged rock flew by harmlessly.
And before the two would meet, the shadow man leapt into the air, not in a forward lunch, nor like some flying kick, but rather tucking its arms and legs into the front of its body, almost as if it was going to do some flying knee or elbow sort of thing, except that its heavy wings folded over its own body, almost like a boulder being hurled through the air with whatever speed it had going for it.

...which happened almost in exact symetry with Joshua doing much the same thing. He leaped into the air, tucking his knees into his chest, with the intent to deliver a double-heel kick to the shadowman. However, by this point it was more of a shadowboulder...

And upon impact, its wings would swing out, arms and legs extending, like an explosion... of swinging limbs.

Joshua used his legs to cushion the impact of colliding with that boulder, just like one absorbs a fall when they hit the ground. As such, his legs bent upon the stone wing when they came together; with greater mass, the shadowman would continue moving forwards, while Joshua's momentum would have stopped.
However, rather than striking him with any of those flying limbs, the wing he 'stood' upon affected him much like a springboard. When the shadowman opened up his little ball, Joshua would be nowhere in sight.

The shadowman landed in a slight jog so that it would not suddenly tilt forward and land face first on the ground since it would still have all that weight pushing it forward.
And apparently the man was gone. The stone crumbled away as it looked around, from the left to the right.

...a folding chair flew out of the darkness, apparently someone's sick fantasy had made its way into the dream world... Shadowman The stone crumbled away as it looked around, from the left to the right. - but not from above.
The wings had launched him like a springboard into the air, performing a full backflip at the highest point before nearly being struck with a flying chair. He grabbed it, as the nearest available thing, and then proceeded to bring the chair down onto the back of shadowman's head from roughly 20 feet.
