"Dent..." Hector said with a small smile, "He would have stayed that way, too, if it hadn't been for the second Tally Man framing him. Instead, we once again have Two-face." He stood up, walked behind his desk, and grabbed one of the folders with a wax seal. He broke the seal from the folder and opened it, handing it to Donna.
"Look," he said proudly, "Without that intervention, without those murders that had so closely matched his past M.O., Gotham would've enjoyed the return to grace of the greatest District Attorney this city has ever seen. It proved that my methods can work. That they DO work. I made a veritable fortune off of that fact. In the kinds of patients that you yourself normally treat, Donna, I've seen a 100% success rate once my methods were fully developed. I toured the world with it. I've made my money. I'm set for the rest of my life, financially speaking. I'm here, because I WANT to be."

"Uh, huh..." Vice said, his tone unbelieving. "So this is all just a sad little case of mistaken identity? A hero fighting with the bad guy, the bad guy getting away, leaving the hero in the middle of the wreckage when the police arrive?"
===============================
Blackstone stared at Arell for a moment, then back down to CJ. "Is he.... alright?" she asked. "His emotions seem to be all over the place, and he had met me not very long ago."
==============================
Misty froze for a brief moment, then turned and looked at Dundee as she picked up her purse. "Blackstone? What about him?" she asked, her voice concerned.
=============================
Donna took the files from Hector, then looked them over with a small smile. "Sounds as though you've made working here quite enjoyable for yourself." she said, then looked up at him. "It would be wonderful to come upon such success, and I'm sure most of the doctors here have such ambitions. I'm content with caring for the less severe cases, but it would be nice to enjoy being here more often."

"You enjoy the less severe cases, yet we meet because of the Joker," Hector said, sitting back down, and taking another sip; the Tuaca was better now that the ice had gotten a chance to work its magic. Swallowing it, he said, "Tell me what happened."

Donna sighed, then took another long drink from her glass. "Well... we've gotten a rather early start to our weekend. Most of the doctors are home for the weekend, and we've had no less than four new patients arrive today, and four others who have yet to be assigned a doctor. Doctor Mattis and the new doctor are here, and they've taken a few cases and helped me out on two of the new comers. But... that's really it as far as on hand staff goes." she said, then took another sip. "I've taken two of the new men, and the other doctors are helping me with them. Then there's the new woman, the "Black Sapphire", a woman who claims to be from the Feudal Era, a woman who can turn people into crystal statues, Vice of course who we need to find someone who isn't effected by his powers..." she said, then sighed a bit.
"And then there's Janet Loveless. She was brought in today." she continued, then shuffled through her files to find Janet's papers and report. "Not quietly mind you. Thrashing about, escape attempts. She was caught by Gotham NYPD a few days ago for the alleged murder of several individuals and children. The police couldn't keep her. She would calm down, then have horrible nightmares. She'd wake up, and be in such a frenzy to escape that she destroyed half of their building." she said, then frowned. "And her memory... doesn't seem to be all that intact."
She looked up at Hector. "We got her into her cell and calmed down, and that's when Joker said that he wanted a 'second opinion.' Since I'm basically one of the few doctors on hand most of the weekend... I wasn't about to make him wait." she said, then sighed. "And unfortunately I was the only one available to see him. When we passed him by Janet's cell... well, I'll let you listen for yourself." she said, then pulled out her voice recorder.
"I have his initial reaction, when I had him to interview, when I let him stop in front of Janet's cell, and finally when I took him back to his cell." she said, then handed it to Hector. Then she frowned slightly. "I'm sure I didn't do myself any justice handling him. But as I said... I'm not used to dealing with people like him."

Hector took the device, and said "Well, let's have a quick listen." He pressed the 'play' button, and set the machine on the desk. ********** As the machine went silent, letting him know that the recording was finished, Dr. Villa nodded, complete seriousness etched on his face. "The first thing I have to say, Donna, is that it is YOU that doesn't give you any credit, not this recording. You did everything necessary to ensure your own survival, and found something that links the Joker to something other than himself in the process. You should be commended."

Arell looked at the unconscious C.J. and back to Blackstone. "He should be . . . T' make a long story shot, you an' de Misty WE know look almost exactly alike. Kinda like that movie "The Parent Trap" but with an ol' flame. Get what I mean?" Arell tried to explain the best he could. The still dazed C.J. off to the side, trying to play with the "birdies" circling around his head.
Dundee smirked and looked out into the hall. "Aww, it's just sh- wait, HIM?!" Dundee asked, looking at Misty. "The Blackstone I saw was a girl. Kinda looked almost just like you . . . but I don't think it's that concerning. Lotta people look like each other." he assured Misty.

Donna blinked in surprise at that. "Really? I... thank you." she replied. "I was afraid that I'd made some sort of mistake by letting him have another talk with Janet, after what he had said when we returned him to his cell." she said, then looked over at the recording. "I'm not sure what the connection is between him and Janet, but with the way he had reacted to her after seeing her the first time... well I wouldn't throw out the idea that he's one of the reasons she has memory loss. If not the entire reason."

Misty blinked back at Dundee. "I... what?" she asked. "The only Blackstone I know of is Richard Blackstone. He was..." she said, then paused a beat. "... wait, you mean a woman who looks like me and her last name is Blackstone?"

"I'm inclined to agree," Hector replied, "But the problem is, he may be the only one who can help recover it, too. Unless..." Dr. Villa paused for a moment, thinking for a moment, the asked, "He mentioned a person named 'Vice'. Do you think there might be a connection to the Vice that you spoke of earlier?"

Donna thought for a moment, then sighed deeply. "It's possible. He was captured not too long ago... and he has been adamant about getting back home for some reason. Getting back to his 'girl' I think he said before." she replied, then took another sip.
"The problem is... he has an ongoing power that seems to bring out the worst in those who get close to him. Laziness... a few have even gotten into physical fights with him. I won't tell you what happened with the female doctors." she said, rolling her eyes. "We tried giving him a session via computer and speakers. But... he didn't seem to take too well to that. He broke three computers, and wasted hours with the other ones by moving out of sight of the camera and falling asleep."

"Maybe I should see if Miss Loveless will talk to me," Hector said, "And if things seem to be at least a little productive, I'll also have a crack at Vice. Pride's my worst sin, anyways. What's the worst I'll do? Offer him some alcohol?"

Donna chuckled lightly. "Oh, I'm sure he'd appreciate that." she said. Then she paused a moment in thought. "She may open up a bit more..." Donna replied. "She seems to have calmed down at least some since she first arrived here. And I'm sure she'll want to know more about what had happened to her."

"Good. Then that's decided. Also..." Hector leaned back and added, "I'd like you to join me on this case."

"Join you on the case?" Donna asked. "I... of course. How can I help" she continued, putting her glass down a bit so that she could give Hector her full attention without spilling her drink.

"Sitting in on interviews and offering your own honest insights and opinions," Dr. Villa said without a second thought, "I cannot stand 'yes men'." He put his own glass to his lips and drank the rest of his Tuaca.
