Lurtz never doubted he'd need a bit of help standing back up as he'd suffered a loss of a lot of blood over the last twenty-four hours. Once he was stable and he'd gotten all of his ingredients, he simply stood nearby in encouraging silence. He only spoke when Dragon seemed to get lost, but once he was set back in his path, he returned to that encouraging silence while ignoring his sister's singing from the living room. It was then that he heard and saw that Dragon had indeed made ice cream.
xxxxx"Yes you did. I'm proud of you, Dragon. You made ice cream from scratch," the light blue haired male vampire almost seemed to hum while giving him a thumbs up. He then gently ruffled the younger male's hair before pulling out a spoon and scooping some of the ice cream into it. Holding it out to Dragon, he flashed a slight smile. "It's practically the same thing as a milkshake. Would you like to try it? I'll eat a scoop of it with you."

Dragon nodded excitedly. "Yes!" he burst and gladly took the spare spoon from Lurtz. He set the bowl down on the counter between him and the other male and took a scoop of the ice cream. He brought it to his mouth and gave it a curious taste. It was sweet and cool, much more sugary than normal ice cream. Dragon grinned in delight, proud of how well he did, and looked back over at Lurtz when his bite melted. "It's still not as good as yours, but I still like it." he brightened. "W-What do you think?"

It was pretty good for a first try unlike how his sisters had switched the sugar and salt around on him when he was younger. "This is really good considering it's your first time making it. With practice, you'll become so used to making it that it'll be natural to you. Then you won't have to always go out to get a milkshake when you feel like having one. You've done a really good job and you should be so proud of yourself. Elisia. Ma. You two should come try this," Lurtz smiled ever so sweetly at the boy before glancing up briefly at his elder sister and his mother. They both gave a shrug only to walk over to the counter, reach over to take the spoon from Lurtz's hand and take a scoop from the bowl without a care that it'd been in the pale blue haired male's mouth a moment before.
xxxxx"This is good. Your skill might be that of a professional chef," Tahlia cooed oh so cheerfully while giving Dragon a thumbs up. After Elisia took her bite of ice cream, she gave him a thumbs up as well before she set the spoon back in her brother's hand. "You may be right about that, ma. Just keep teaching him to cook, Lurtz. He's got the natural intuition of a chef."

Dragon smiled brightly when he was praised by the entire family. If he could learn to cook then maybe he'd be able to make them happy every day! He scooped up another small amount and put it into his mouth. The ice cream was sweet, and he was still able to stomach it nicely. Maybe he could eat human sweets?
Thinking about food, Dragon's stomach suddenly gurgled loudly. He blushed in embarrassment and set his hand over it, feeling its emptiness. "Oh, u-uh, I guess I'm a little hungry..." he mumbled with a small frown. He shouldn't have been surprised, it was only a matter of time before he would get hungry around them. It would be fine, though, he could stop by the store when everyone was away and get his kind of food. Just as long as he got their before he got too hungry.

He could still remember all the times he would be standing at attention for his father, his gaze downcast, and his stomach would growl from being hungry. Of course that just drew attention to him and his sisters would continuously poke and prod him in an attempt to break his concentration. It'd actually distracted him for quite some time in his childhood, but eventually he could keep from growing distracted in what was expected of him.
xxxxx"If he doesn't have it here, we'll just have him throw on a hat to cover up that bad haircut while he goes off to fetch it. I'm sure he won't mind doing that for a guest in his home much less a friend after all," Tahlia hummed only to give a slight squeak when Lurtz shoved a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth with the spoon. Giving a slight bowing motion towards his mother and sister, he pointed to the door with a brief flicker of a half-smile. "It's been a pleasure seeing you both and I can't thank you enough for all you've done for me, but I'm good now and you two are always busy. I'd hate to take away from your busy schedules to deal with little old me." "Fine, but I'm still handing my blueprints over to professionals so as to fix up this cruddy apartment. See you later, kiddo. Come along, mother dearest. We've so much to discuss. Have fun, baby brother~." And with that, the two females headed for the door, both waving their goodbyes to Dragon while briefly shooting a dark glare at Lurtz.

Dragon waved off the two before looking back at Lurtz. "It's okay, you don't have to do anything. I can do it myself." he offered with a small smile, his irises darkening as his stomach growled. It would take him some time, he was sure, from how weak his body was right now, but he couldn't let Lurtz walk out when he just got up. Worse come to worst, he could scrape by on ice cream and wait for Lurtz to go back to bed before he headed out.

"What kinds of foods can you eat besides milkshakes?" Lurtz repeated in that same calm he'd had when they'd first met. As if as an afterthought, he added, "We can go to the store together if you would prefer going there personally."
xxxxxHearing the stereo still playing in the living room, his eye twitched slightly at how lazy his sister was. Great. Now he'd have to put his sketchpads back up alongside turning off that stereo. Of course he shouldn't have expected anything else from his sister much less the rest of his family. They didn't mind messing up someone else's house before just up and leaving so long as it wasn't their homes.

Dragon seemed to hesitate at the question over food he could actually eat. It was a shameful thing for him. There had been plenty of people that had said they still accepted him when they found out what he ate, but they could never look him in the eye during the times he ate. Sometimes they wouldn't even look at him the same after that. Although Lurtz had far proved himself to be different from those people of the past, he didn't want to risk changing that. "Umm... I'd... rather go alone, actually." he murmured while dropping his gaze - his eyes black - to the floor. Actually telling Lurtz that he wanted to be alone, if even for a moment, was harder than he imagined. How would the blue-haired man even react to that? Would he be surprised? Shocked? Whatever the outcome, it would be better then him finding out about his cravings.

He once again insisted on going alone which honestly made no sense to Lurtz after the boy had said he didn't like being left alone earlier, but he wasn't going to argue. Dragon seemed adamant about being alone with this eating thing. It was a surprise and kind of hurt knowing that he didn't want him to know about his cravings whereas he'd just seen the vampire's bloodlust not even twenty-four hours ago.
xxxxx"If that is what you wish, then I'll oblige. I wouldn't want to upset you by arguing with you on the matter. I suppose I'll just clean up the mess my sister's made of the apartment and finish cutting my hair from where my father cut it unevenly. The door will remain unlocked for you as you're always welcome here and no judgement is passed. Just... Be careful," Lurtz finally responded while shifting his hand over to the upper arm of the opposite arm out of hurt and discomfort. After a few moments of rubbing his arm, he removed his hand again only to start cleaning up what dishes were used to make the ice cream except for what ice cream was left in the bowl. Dragon could actually stomach ice cream and Lurtz only ate it on occasion so it was alright to him if the boy finished it off.

Dragon frowned when he saw the hurt expression on Lurtz's face. There was no doubt in his mind that the blue-haired man was upset, especially by the way he rubbed his arm awkwardly like that. He just had to speak up, he couldn't let his only friend think he didn't want to be around him! "I'm sorry, I just don't want you to see what I'm like hungry." he mumbled then offered him a small smile. "I-I guess I understand how you felt when you got hungry."

You'd rather go about it on your own and insist I not come along and so stay I shall. I can respect your wishes and will do just that without argument," the vampire responded in a calm, level tone as he started drying the dishes and returning them to where they came from. As if absentmindedly, he then added in a low mutter, "Even if it doesn't make any kind of sense..."
xxxxxA moment later he briefly shook his head as if to clear some thought from his mind before taking up his militarized stance of parade rest. "I apologize for that last statement. It was out of place and very rude and inconceivable for me to have muttered much less thought them," Lurtz admitted still in a relatively calm manner. He then ruffled the boy's hair before flashing that sweet half-smile of his. "I was just wanting to be sure you would be alright after all. Do not worry over hurting my feelings, Lord Dragon. It's not something I dwell on. You just have to keep moving forward one step at a time. Go on ahead and finish up the ice cream you've worked so hard to make. I'm just going to be putting away the books Elisia dragged out in the living room."

Unconvinced by Lurtz's assurance, Dragon's frown deepened. His eyes didn't even remotely change a different shade from their black colors, and they watched the blue-haired man carefully clean the dishes. He hesitated when he heard the low murmur then slumped in his stance, feeling even worse now. He should show Lurtz, it was only fair from how the much the other revealed to him. Besides, Lurtz didn't give him any reason to feel as though he would be mocked or disturbing to him. Really, anything was better than seeing him so upset.
"W-Wait..." Dragon said and reached out for Lurtz's arm. It was as he was doing so that he felt his hunger change another characteristic of his. All of his molars and canines elongated and sharpened as to make it easier to rip thick meats. Dragon quickly recoiled his hand to cover his mouth and looked at Lurtz sharply to see if he caught sight of his mouth. "U-Umm," he resumed with his mouth covered and his words muffled. "W-Why don't you come w-with me?"

The motion, as mechanical as it was in his head and yet so graceful in reality, appeared to be that of a soldier's march directed as a right face. This had briefly made the icy blue eyes of the vampire shift in the dark haired male's direction. He'd even noted the slight change of the Wendigo's teeth yet didn't seem concerned by it. His attention seemed more focused on the boy's hand on his arm almost as if gauging the younger male's real strength for his size.
xxxxxLurtz's gaze showed just the slightest hint of confusion ever so briefly as one well-defined brow arched itself to clarify that he was indeed confused by the change in Dragon's mind. He then briefly slid his freehand up to where he could lightly scratch near his eye followed by a soft sigh. "You just said you didn't want me to go and now you do? I just want this to be clear so I'm not the one getting chewed out for disobedience. Now, I'd like you to specify whether you'd like me to stay or you'd prefer me to come with you and if you do want me to come along, it isn't a feeling of guilt gnawing at your conscience. I just want you to be safe and happy. If you'd rather I stay here so as not to see your version of "hungry", I will respect your wishes and remain here albeit I'll give you my sister's cellphone so you can call me if you need me. No, she hasn't noticed I took it from her yet and she more than likely won't for several hours. Either way, would you feel happier with me by your side or away from it while you go to get food for yourself?" Lurtz questioned while never shifting those hollow, pale blue eyes from Dragon's hand on his arm. At least the boy's hand couldn't be considered eye contact so therefore he wasn't breaking his father's directions of never looking someone of a higher status than himself in the eyes. It was a stupid rule seeing as eye contact was far more polite than staring at your feet. It showed you were listening after all.

"I... I want you to go..." Dragon said while dropping his own gaze. "I-I'm only happy i-if you are..." he confessed and tried to bite back his blush but failed. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths before letting go of Lurtz's arm and looking up at him. "I... I-I eat raw meat." he admitted, eyebrows furrowed and his mouth closed so that his sharp teeth couldn't be seen. "I used to black out and apparently I hunted animals during those times, but ever since one of my mom's husbands sealed away my monstrous side I get a sharp, stabbing pain when my hunger gets that strong. Now the only foods I can stomach without having to hunt are the raw meats sold at grocery stores." His black eyes fell back to the ground and to his fidgeting feet. "Every time I stay hungry for a period of time I start turning more and more like that monster side of me. Y-You can even see it right now." he said and pointed to his teeth and his eyes. "A-After that I get these c-claw things, b-but things just get painful after that thanks to my seal..." he murmured and pulled back his sleeve to show the tribal symbol on his entire right arm. "There's another on over my heart." he told Lurtz while showing his his tattoo.

That hadn't been words he'd expected to hear from him after only a couple days with the vampire. As the boy continued speaking, his eyes flicked briefly over the parts of the intricate design of the tribal tattoo. Instead of asking for permission as he'd normally do, the vampire's hands lifted slightly, hesitated and then slid around the boy's shoulders in a gentle yet firm hug.
xxxxx"I suppose we're in contradiction with each other then... I feel happy when you're happy and when you didn't run away once you saw even the slightest bit of my real self including my bloodlust. You do not instill fear within me no matter what you do. You're still the same sweet, lonely and curious boy I met in the vocals classroom. If anyone deems you as anything but that, they will come to understand the true meaning of the terminology "monster" as I will be the one to inflict fear in their hearts. You're the best thing to enter my life in a long time and I'm glad you enjoy my presence and have faith that I'll keep my promise of remaining there by your side until someone succeeds in killing me," the pale blue haired male breathed out while gently running his fingers through the Wendigo's dark hair. After a few minutes, he finally released the boy from his embrace only to lightly take his hand into his own. "Come on, good Monsieur. Your stomach was talking to mine about how hungry it is. We'll see what we can pick up for you at the store."
