Michael Callaway Michael blinked in surprise, not having expected that from her. "We do have to watch out for each other; we don't know how many other items are out there and who has them. In all likelihood, it's very possible that not all of them would be as pleasant as you," he said with amusement; he meant both in personality and when it came to their standing in society. He turned towards the house and started walking steadily towards it, his stance and stride showing no outward sign of his nervousness.

Rebecca nodded slowly as she followed after Michael. What had possessed her to say such a thing? In fact she was doing quite a few things recently that she normally wouldn't do. She invited him to stay at her home. She had breakfast with him and then came out here. Rebecca held her head high, shoulders squared as she followed Michael closer to the house. She exuded confidence when really she didn't know what the hell she was doing. "Making friends," Storm said softly in the back of her mind. "It's about time Rebecca. Being alone...it is never good for anyone in the long run."

Michael Callaway Michael was both confused and wary as Logan was muttering in his mind. "Bein' alone helps most o' the time, but there are times when it don' do nothin' but make things more irritating. Trust me, I was the 'lone wolf' way more often than I woulda liked, an' that says somethin'. Knowin' Rogue, she's pr'bably laughin' her a** off right now," Logan grumbled in his mind. "So what was that ab'ut?" Troy asked as he opened the door, but didn't come outside. His gaze was focused alternately between Michael and the towering column of steam from where Michael had blasted the tree apart and unintentionally boiled some of the water away.Alede OOC: Added a few new items, mainly Doctor Strange's Amulet, Rogue's Jacket, and Ghost Rider's Chain. I'll probably add others from time to time.

Rebecca stopped behind Michael, looking between him and Troy. Well at least the man wasn't yelling at them to get off his property...yet. When Michael didn't say anything in response to Troy's question she sighed and spoke up. "He wanted something from us, and would have done anything to get it. We had to stop him."

Michael Callaway Troy cocked his head. "What sort of things would those be? Besides, 'e had ta have been high on drugs ta do dat," he said wryly, a faint smile flickering over his face as he flicked a hand at the overturned airboat. Michael shrugged. "Well, regardless, he is where he won't harm anyone else," he said wryly.

Rebecca's lips twitched into a small smile. Drugs, yeah that's what it was. At least he was being cool about all of this. "He won't be coming around here anymore." She looked over at the boat. "I am sorry about the mess. Really, if we hadn't been here at this particular time you wouldn't have this mess."

Snow sighed and let the thief go walking away. He was muttering under his breath pissed that he couldn't catch the actual thief who stole his valuables from his apartment. He sheathed his katana not paying attention to where he was walking since he was lost in thought.

Michael Callaway Troy tilted his head thoughtfully. He shrugged after a moment of thought. "'e just get a couple o' tow ropes an' chains and we'll flip it back over; it may need a little repair, though," he said. Michael snorted, not mentioning the darker possibilities, like Blackheart killing everyone here and moving on simply because he felt like it. "Why wait?" he muttered as he walked towards the overturned airboat hanging over the dock with the top of the fan hanging half in the water. He gripped the edge and grunted as he heaved, flipping the entire boat vertical on its bow before he shoved sharply, flipping it upright in the water; the seat looked bent and muddy and the coolers were simply gone, but otherwise it looked okay. Michael half turned, not seeming to notice RJ's shocked face from the window or Troy's surprised face at his apparent 'superhuman' strength.

The other thief smirked slightly, shifting his backpack in his hand as he strolled along the road before his eyes widened slightly, seeing a guy with long black hair flipping an overturned airboat like it was nothing. The backpack dropped from his hand and hit the edge of the road, unknowingly activating a tracer hidden within the stolen items.

Rebecca smirked a little as she watched Michael flip the boat upright. She looked over seeing Troy's look of surprise. "Look," she said softly. "We're not exactly what you would consider normal. There are some of us, like Michael and myself, who do good things with our lives. And then there are others...like that man who flipped the boat, who do terrible things." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Just like everyone else in this world..."

Michael Callaway Troy inhaled slowly. "'hat exactly was dat explosion before? Whatever it was held enough power behind it ta rattle the 'indows in the house, an' it's kinda obvious neither o' ya have dynamite on ya," he said with a grin. Michael shrugged. "Let's just say that the guy that flipped the boat underestimated us before he fled," he said idly, shifting his shoulders. He saw Troy blink at his eyes, though he didn't comment on them.

Rebecca really didn't know what to say to this man she had just met. Things hadn't exactly gone as she and Michael had planned. It was supposed to be a quiet day, hanging out with several people and getting to know them. It had turned out to be a very eventual day with these people seeing some of what they could do, even if they didn't acknowledge it. "The less you know about what we do, the better," Rebecca said as she looked at Troy.

Michael Callaway Troy blinked, though he was somewhat surprised when Michael exhaled slowly. "They can know a little bit of what I can do, at least; I know for a fact that my uncle and those he was 'friends' with are gone," he said quietly; he glanced at Rebecca as he did, making it clear he was referring to the nanite abilities, though he wasn't going to reveal too much about that, since while he was sure he'd dealt with all the records and disks on the base when he'd taken it out before leaving, he wasn't sure if it was possible that one or more of the people there had sent some of the data they'd had on him before it had happened. "I was given something that initially I was told was for 'blood tests', though I discovered later it was something else entirely. As a result, it is part of my body, merged with my muscles and blood while my bones are denser as a side effect," he said wryly with a slight shrug. Troy blinked in surprise, though what he didn't know was that one of the soldiers in the base, unknowingly, had discovered Wolverine's gauntlets which Michael himself now wore which was the true source of his 'denser bones'.

Rebecca nodded to Michael and listened quietly as he explained to Troy what had been done to him. She pushed her hair behind her ear, just standing there quietly. She didn't know what she was going to tell him about herself. She knew that they had definitely seen her change.

Michael Callaway Troy jerked fractionally as a loud hissing growl he knew Michael recognized as a pissed off gator before a low crunch followed as he noticed a flicker of shadow darting between the bike Michael had left and the truck, headed towards them and the dock. It was an alligator that was easily fourteen feet long and seemed focused on either getting into the water or something, he could immediately tell. Michael cocked an eyebrow as his bike tilted dangerously before it fell, the kickstand bent double from the gator's tail. He exhaled before he tilted his head, unconsciously popping the tendons in his neck before he darted straight at the gator, who shifted as its tail swung around, flicking forward like a whip and missing Michael's head by inches before Michael slid close to the ground, his hand rising and slamming hard onto the gator's head. It twitched sharply, its tail coming back around and swatting him with a crunch squarely in the back of the head, laying him out over the back of the gator's neck and forelegs as it stilled after several seconds. "Never seen a gator that big onshore... nor have I seen one dealt with in that manner," RJ said dryly as he stepped onto the porch, the Houma native cocking his head as Michael stirred. "Damn, that felt like that time that thief broke that bat over my head," he barked as he shook his head; he knew Rebecca would remember the incident, as it had happened on a stakeout she'd been on that he'd happened to stumble across without knowing it.
