Ayato was enraged. He walked past Naano, looking at Ryan. He continued and left the center. Sniffles was upset he hugged Naano's leg, then followed Aya outside. Aya punched a tree outside. I can't believe that b*****d.... His emotions all over. He was pissed he had upset Naano. He hated that kid. He hated himself even more. I can't do this...He began to tear up. No..I won't... He took off and began walking away to cool off and clear his mind. Pokemon: Sniffles / Male / Lv. 26  Location:Some where in Paysage

Lulu tugged at Ryan's sleeve. Ryan looked down. Ayato. He is from Cattivita. I saw it within King's mind. Ryan sighed and looked over at Naano. He walked over to her and tried to find words. "Naano..."

Ayato stormed out, and Naano simply stood there, with her hand positioned in the air where his chest had been. "I...." The words wouldn't come out. What had just happened? Wasn't it just moments ago that they had been sitting out on a bench together with their pokemon? She couldn't bear it any longer.
She was about to quickly run upstairs, but Ryan spoke her name. Stopping abruptly, she stared at him. Her emotions, she just couldn't. She just couldn't hide them anymore.
There was something tugging at her chest inside, she covered it with her hands and she looked down at her feet. Ryan was standing next to her now, and she tried to shake it off. She locked eyes with Ryan. "I...I-I'm fine.." The lie was obvious, she didn't even try hiding it from her face. A tear fell as she quickly dried it from her face, as if to somehow hide it from him.

"When people are depressed..." Ryan thought about his words. "They react to things in sadness...or in anger. Sometimes they don't react to anything. Sometimes they feel and act numb." Lulu glanced at him. "Ayato probably has his own difficulties, perhaps he has a history that he cannot live down. Perhaps something happened to him." Ryan looked to his feet and shuffled nervously.
"What you need to understand is Ayato is reacting in anger. Not to you. Partly to me, but mostly to something else that you cannot help." Ryan said. He looked back up at her.

Naano stared at him, her face still wearing the same saddened expression. He seemed to know something, or maybe it was just his own experience? Unable to tell, she stood and thought for a moment. Her bow had fallen out of her hair when she stood between them, causing the blue strands to flow over her shoulders. Just as she always did when she was overly upset, she twisted her hair, allowing it to fall over her right shoulder.
Thinking over Ryan's words she finally said. "The worst thing isn't the anger Ryan, that's not what worries me. The anger, I'm used to...Or perhaps I'm not. But in reality, my issue is that..." She couldn't bring herself to say it. Finally able to piece the words together, she said "I'm afraid." As she breathed in, she finished her statement. "I'm afraid because I've lost so much, and it seems every time I gain, I loose something in turn. And I don't want it to keep happening." Covering her face with her hands she muttered "What am I supposed to do? All these secrets, all these questions...."
"I shouldn't be bothering you with all of this."

"I don't see why you shouldn't. I'm here and I'm listening." Ryan said. He nodded at Naano's hands and started to show his level of perception. "You have nervous ticks. You paused earlier and stopped when you were about to mention something about men yelling. Your arm is hurt. You're shy." he folded his hands together and stared back at the ground.
"You have experience with either domestic abuse or drug use from someone you know. When we first encountered eachother, you had to stop yourself again when you began to speak about someone you knew who had a 'history
with painkillers." Ryan looked at Lulu, who nodded in encouragement.
"Perhaps you have abandonment issues. But look..." Snow looked straight at Naano. "Even if you lose everyone else, I've never had anything close to a friend besides Pokemon, and I won't get leave you until you want me to."

Naano looked up at him shocked. No one had ever known so much, frankly no one ever asked. As a child when she walked around with bruises they simply assumed she had fallen. No one asked, no one cared.
Except for Ryan. He seemed to understand. The tears fell uncontrollably. She wasn't sobbing, she simply stood there with the tears falling. As she noticed them, she turned her head and cleared them from her face. Sniffling she turned back smiling sullenly. "You're close, but there are still pieces missing. I suppose those are for another time." His words kept repeating in her mind, he actually cared? Perhaps he hadn't said so word for word, but he actually offered to stay with her.
She took a deep breath and looked around her, there were some people staring and Nurse Joy seemed to be getting aggravated at their scene. Grabbing Ryan's hand, she led him outside where it was less crowded. As she let go she faced him and hiccuped from the crying. "Thank you. You really don't know how much this means to me." She went to hug him, but stopped "You don't mind, do you?"

Ryan's eyes bore into Nurse Joy, a sort of F**k off look. When she advanced towards him after taking him outside, he was pleasantly surprised to see that she stopped and asked if it was okay. She was crying and she was visibly upset, and though it was uncustomary...
Ryan, instead of responding, moved forward and hugged Naano. "Don't cry. Things will always be peaceful, things will always be better in the end." he told her. Ryan wouldn't lie, and even though he didn't believe he would ever reach peace in his own life, he believed the sweet embrace of death following a suicide would be enough for him. And so he hugged Naano because yes, Ryan did care.

Naano buried her face in the crook of his neck, unable to stop the seemingly infinite stream of tears. "I-I'm s-sorry" she choked out the words. Feeling like a burden, she could help but apologize. "It's- It's just." Gasping between periods of crying. Eventually the tears stopped, and she just held onto Ryan, shaking. Hiccuping, she looked up at him. "But what about you?" Mentally kicking herself for taking up so much of his time, she still couldn't help but ask. "Those pills didn't just fall into your hands one day for no reas-" She suddenly stopped herself. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't be prodding" With her arms still entwined around his neck she couldn't bear to look in his eyes, so she stared at his neck. This time she whispered it "I'm sorry."

Ryan didn't say anything. He waited for the tears to stop, and when Naano asked him her own questions, he still said nothing. And when she apologized, he thought. He decided he would let them stand in the silence.
'Those pills just didn't fall into your hands'. No, not really they didn't. But red wine didn't just fall into his mothers hands. The painkillers he took were perhaps unnecessary, but they calmed him. He needed something to make the constant unfeeling of anything bearable, even pleasurable.
Ryan examined Naano. Whatever she had experienced, whatever happened to her, did it really matter? She was a person, not a human. Humans were evil and terrible. People were different. People were Naano, Ayato...and Rachel.
No. He musn't remember. Ryan didn't need to remember. He didn't need to remember anything put his name. He was born Ryan Hisagi. But he was Ryan Snow. The Snow was his brother all of his life, as Rachel was his-
Dammit. Stop. he spoke to himself. Ryan looked back down at Naano and decided she was a person, and she couldn't do things alone. She didn't have to resort to walking into Death's gate for her peacefulness, she could still be saved. Ryan continued to hold her before he spoke.
"I gave you Shadow because you looked like you needed another companion. But I don't think a Pokemon is enough." Ryan held looked down at her, since she was a good 7 inches shorter than him. "If it suits you, I would like to travel with you..." he paused and took a breath. "...and Ayato"

Ryan looked down at her, and in turn Naano looked up. Her expression turned from sadness to genuine glee. "Really?" She was still hiccuping, but the smile on her face showed how truly happy she was. This time when she hugged him, it was warm and full of gratitude. "You won't regret it, I promise!" The bruise still bothered her as she smiled, but it wasn't important right now. Just the fact that he wanted to join her, well she was ecstatic. He understood her.
"And Ayato-" Breathing in sharply, she closer her eyes and calmly said "Well, you two will warm up to each other....eventually." Sighing, she could tell that their travels would be difficult, but it would benefit them. She didn't want to, but she pulled away from their embrace. "Thank you, again." Wanting to give him something, she went into her bag and retrieved a little charm. It was old and worn, but it had helped her through so much. "Here, I know it doesn't look like much, but I want you to have it." It was of a Pokemon, but it was worn and Naano was no longer sure which one.

Ryan took the chain and closed it within his fist. He smiled - a real, genuine, smile. "Thank you." he said. Ryan placed it in his backpack and hugged Naano again, then blushed. Goddamn he was showing more facial expressions in these few seconds than he had ever before.
He looked down at Lulu. "Uhm, heh, we should go find Ayato...then we can go challenge the gym." he said. Ryan looked back up at Naano. "Is that okay?"

 Masamune - Trainer Inventory - Pokedex Masamune threw out a Pokeball and let Bagon out. "Alright Bagon,let's get started.Because your head is so strong why not headbutt? Just bang stuff with your head?" Bagon got the idea easily. He soon got the idea and learned the move. Masamune started to look at his Pokedex on information on Bagon. "Alright Bagon let's learn Drgon claw!" Masamune showed the digital pictures to Bagon and let him practice the move. After about an hour Masamune was getting frustrated. All Bagon wanted to do was fly? As more time passed Bagon got the move. Naano's smile broadened as she saw the natural emotion painted on Ryan's face. Finally. She felt like he deserved to feel that, because she knew he'd seen what she had. If not anything worse...
Nodding slowly, she said "If you're sure." Relief flooded her at his offer, she really didn't want to go looking for him herself because she knew that she was going to fall apart all over again. Turning to head back to the pokemon center, she looked back at Ryan. "I think I'm just going to stay inside for a little while, I'll challenge the gym later on." Before she left she added "Should we meet at the gym after our battles?" She didn't want to miss the opportunity to travel with him.

Ryan nodded. "Yes, we should. Or whenever. Don't worry, we'll meet up." he turned and turned on his Poketech. Waving to Naano as he walked forward, Ryan walked away from the Pokemon Center in search of Ayato.
