Ren was now beyond thrilled.
"I'm not sure if there are other games," he told the horseman brightly. "But there are certainly different versions of this particular game! I know there's a fighting one where your characters beat up other characters, and one where you play little mini games inside, but I haven't got those yet. But I plan on it!" he added, with an eagerness that was really very Rennish.
He also didn't comment on the wet and sparkly robes, as if these were totally normal clothes to be wearing.
There were a few others playing now, which made Ren ridiculously excited, and he happily began doling out prizes to those who had earned them - and those who had tried their very hardest and hadn't quite gotten enough.
"Thank you thank you for coming!" he said cheerfully to Mei and Aedan, shoving things into their hands. Freya couldn't wait to get back to the Scario Kart booth. When it was her turn to play, she plopped down, grabbed the controller, and went to town like it was out of style. She just knew she should have done this during the Ren battle. Why didn't she think to do it before! This was going to totally make her win the game! "Go go go go WHY AREN'T YEH GOINGS FASTER-" Her little guy was starting to flounder, and she couldn't push enough buttons to fix the situation. She hadn't even found a single power up yet.. Suddenly, the cart roared to life, and she turned a hard right down the tiny green ramp, landing on her first mushroom and finally feeling like a winner again.
