Twila nodded and stood as still as she could. She focused on breathing thinking if she didn't think of the needle it wouldn't hurt at all.

Akumi cocked his head. "What's it like with wings, Twila?" he said quietly, meaning to distract her for a few seconds as Hank gently took a hold of her forearm, bending it slightly.

Twila looked at Akumi. "Its kinda fun.. flying and stuff. Though a pain when they start shedding... feathers everywhere.... and flying isn't easy then..." she smiled abit happy for the distraction. "And little kids are little monsters when they ask to pet the feathers what them mean is 'can I pull on them ' and that hurts like heck... got in trouble for accidentally hitting one on reflex..."

Akumi chuckled. "Flight is one thing I know about, though the rest isn't something I'm too familar with, and if someone pulled my tail in feline form, I'd probably smack them up side the head pretty hard," he said with a shrug, seeing the vial fill up with blood before Hank pulled it away. "That's it for the blood," Hank said with a smile, pressing a pale pink and red striped bandage to the small puncture, though he knew the wound would have closed fully within a few hours.

Twila reaized she didn't notice he was takeing blood at all and giggled. "If I hit the kid really hard I would have been kept indoors for a week maybe more."

Akumi cocked his head. "I know that feeling, though if I smacked someone, they'd probably be out cold for a couple of hours and wake up feeling like they'd been tackled by a football player," he said sheepishly. He'd only made that mistake once, and knew how to control the shift between forms unconsciously. He knew from experience that the scanner beam made the skin tingle, a little bit like pins-and-needles, but not quite as uncomfortable... barely noticeably, really. "interesting; it seems the bones in the wings are hollow, though your bones seem just as dense as normal. I would presume that your muscles are able to react with more tensile strength and flexibility to make up for it," Hank said as he sounded thoughtful. "I think tomorrow the two of you, Ororo, Kitty, and myself will get you some clothes for yourselves rather than borrowing them from others," Jean said with a smile.

Twila looked at her wings. "So they are hallow.... weird..." though when Jean said something about getting clothes she froze abit. "Eh...like going to a store... lots of people...." she said quietly.

Akumi tilted his head, hearing her clearly. Jean likely noticed her discomfort because she spoke hastily. "Maybe we can go early in the morning... or at lunch; it's near the time of Spring Break, so there shouldn't be too many people," she said sheepishly, a small smile flickering over her face.

Akumi smiled faintly. "Trust me, I'm not quite comfortable with the idea either... but we can't very well borrow clothes from everyone else the entire time we're here, right?" he said idly.

"Right..." Twila agreed. "Guess I'm gonna have to get over that fear some time..."

Akumi chuckled. "At least you're not cleisiophobic (fear of being locked in an enclosed space) or helminthophobic (fear of being infested with worms)," he said softly. Those were his few fears, the latter being far worse and something he sometimes had nightmares about.((I intend to work these fears into the story sometime... the former will be somewhat easy for him to overcome... the other won't be.))

Twila looked abit confused at the strange words but nodded guessing they were bad. "I use to know someone who was scaired of clowns.... was kinda funny when he got a clown birthday card on accident...."

Akumi cocked his head. "You mean 'coulrophobia', right? That's the fear of clowns," Hank said, a smile twitching at the edges of his lips. "The fears Akumi mentioned... the first is related to claustrophobia, the fear of enclosed spaces, but the other I'm not familiar with, unfortunately," he admitted. Jean shuddered slightly. "I used to be claustrophobic myself... fortunately I've gotten past that," she said softly.

Twila frowned "Small places are scairy..." she said "Though what would be worse is a small place filled with spiders." She shuddered "Creepy little monsters..."
