Eventually Wolfwood needed to catch his breath and he broke the kiss, smiling down at her and breathing deeply. "What were we talking about, Menolly? I forgot."

Menolly breathed in the moment the kiss was broken, her own need to breath again was calling to be satisfied. Wolfwood's comment made her giggle and she gazed up at him with her bright, dancing golden eyes. Smiling the whole time she responds, "We were about to leave to go to the lake." Of course, she thought to herself, we could always just stay here now and do that again. Something she learned though, Wolfwood seemed to like the kisses as much as she did, and obviously knew more about them. They didn't seem that they would be a rare wonder.

She would wait for him, but did take one step towards the door, not a full step because she didn't want to pull him nor relinquish her hold or the hold on her quite yet.

Wolfwood smiled sheepishly when she giggled then felt his cheeks color when she turned her golden eyes on him. "Oh yeah. That's right.." It was his turn to giggle when she took a step toward the door but was careful not to break the hold they had on each other. Amused, he scooped Menolly up in his arms and carried her out.

Menolly gave a surprised squeal when she was unexpectedly scooped up and threw her arms around Wolfwood’s neck, not that she was afraid in the least. Her trust in him was absolute and unquestioned. She found it amusing to be carried, not that she would object to walking either, and didn’t protest in the least as he carried her. Watching for signs that she was too heavy, she would not allow herself to be carried if it was at all a burden on him. With a small smile curved on her mouth she leans her head up enough to give him a kiss on the cheek, feeling that the more enjoyable kiss on the lips might be a tad more distracting.

Asking, her head tilted to the side, “Am I too heavy?” Why rely completely on observations when she could ask as well?

Wolfwood smiled when her lips touched his cheek and he turned his blue-grey eyes on her. "Of course not, Menolly. You're just right," he told her, playfully shifting her in his arms. He could carry her easily. "Why do you ask?"

Menolly kept her hold but didn't show the least bit of being worried when he shifted her, she just watched him. It relaxed her a bit to hear she wasn't too heavy. When he asked why, she answered, "If I were to heavy the I would of asked to be put down, I don't want to be a burden on you." She drop her eyes this time, she just waited for either a responce or well she wasn't sure.

"It's sweet of you to worry so Menolly. But you're no burden. Far from it, in fact." He smiled then ducked his head and planted a playful kiss on her nose.

Menolly giggled when he kissed her nose and reached up to lightly tap his nose. Beaming brightly, she responded, "I am glad." She hated to be a burden but she also loved the attention, affection and constant contact. For the first time since she was picked up, she really started to pay attention to where he was taking her. Ok, she knew where but she was watching the scenery for the path to where was.

Wolfwood didn't need to pay attenton to where he was going. He knew the way by heart now. So, instead of looking at his surroundings, he kept his eyes on Menolly, finding his way easily around and over obstacles despite his 'burden'.

Menolly watched the way, or tried to, for her eyes always found themselves back to Wolfwood. So captivated by the man she loved, that it was hard to pay attention to much else. She had all faith that he’d get her where she wanted to go without trouble. Being carried there was fun, for there was no other way that she knew of to be so totally in contact with another then to be carried. A slight tinge existed, yes she loved to be carried but she knew that sooner of later, her will to also walk just might peak to the surface, there was no problem, yet with it though and she was content.

Fortunately, Wolfwood stepped onto the beach before Menolly's desire to walk caught up with her and he set the angel pae on her feet. He didn't break the contact completely, though. Instead, he kept one arm around her waist as he moved toward the lake. "It looks great, doesn't it?" he asked idly, looking out over the sparkling blue water then turning his head and smiling down at her.

Menolly gazed at the water, watching it a moment before looking to Wolfwood, "Wow." She commented before looking back to the water. It looked so pretty the way the sun reflected off the beautiful liquid blue. She put one foot forward, wanting to meet the water; however, she would wait until he moved.

Wolfwood chuckled and ruffled her bangs. "Why don't you go put your feet in the water, Menolly? I can tell you want to."

Menolly nodded, laughing lightly, "I do want to go and put my feet in the water, it looks so inviting." Smiling she looked up at him before taking another physical step, she placed her hand on his hand that was holding on to her, just holding hers still, she stepped forward, silently making sure he was coming with her. She knew by now that he would be, that he loved her and would not let her be alone; however, the silent reassurance was just that, reassurance.

Wolfwood chuckled and gave her a gentle push toward the water. "Go on. I'll be right behind you," he said, smiling warmly. "I'm not going to go running off the other way."
