"It's the best juice I've ever tasted. I give it 5 stars." Dara replied. Holding up the cup she said "cheers" and gulped most of the drink down.  He who dares__________________________He nodded. "Okay, if you insist," he said, relenting. He raised his glass to hers and downed the rest of his juice. "I agree. Very good," he replied. He sat down on the bed. "First time I've burned eggs too," he said. "This morning's been a lot of firsts for me." WINS

Grabbing Eric's hand, she headed down the hall and to the kitchen. Taking a seat on one of the stools by the island counter she watched Eric start to cook. He who dares__________________________Eric slowly, nervously began to cook, repeating the steps he did last time, minus forgetting about the eggs. He carefully avoided doing anything too complicated and within half an hour had edible fried eggs ready to go. "Here," he said, proud of himself as he handed her a plate. "This should taste a little better." WINS

"Yummy. It's very fluffy." Dara said. Caught up in the happy moment she stabbed some of the egg and held it up to Eric. "Ah." she said, motioning him to open his mouth. He who dares__________________________"It's my friends' birthday," he said, smiling. Then he realized she wouldn't know what he was talking about. "When I lived in the orphanage, before I was sold to the arenas, I had 3 friends. We grew up there together and some of my first memories were with them. We didn't have any birth-names so we named ourselves. We were called Chad, Rack and Abe. It was from this old story Grandma Ellis - that's the lady who ran the orphanage - read to us once." He shook his head. "Don't laugh we were maybe 4 or 5 when we came up with them. Our fourth friend came up with his own name. "NAB". I'm not sure where he got it from but he always insisted we spell it in all capital letters. He was kinda our leader." "Since we didn't have any birthdays, we made up our own and decided they would all be on the same day. When we were all about 8, some strange couple showed up to the orphanage and practically fell in love with Rack. I don't know who they were, foreigners of some sort I think, but they bought him and adopted him. We were kids at the time and all we knew was that they were gonna take him away, so we figured they were kidnapping him. The three of us that were left escaped from the orphanage and went after them but they had a car and we didn't. We all got separated." Eric paused, a frown on his face. "That's when I was grabbed by the arena "recruiters". I never found out what happened to my other three friends. He turned back to her. "It's their birthdays today." WINS

He who dares__________________________"I just told you," said Eric, laughing. "We all share the same birthday. It's today. It's not our real birthday; we don't know that. But it's the one we chose." He crossed his arms as he leaned against the counter, thinking. "Yeah, I would like to see them again. Rack was always such a wuss but he could charm his way out of anything. Abe was quiet but he never backed down. I don't know if he even knew what fear was. I was Chad; I was the clever one but I was always getting us in trouble. And NAB...." He paused, frowning. "That's funny, I don't remember much about NAB. Just that he was our leader and that was his name. Huh," he shook his head. "Anyway, yeah that would be great." WINS
