The Guard member let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. All he needed to do was land at least one attack and this battle could be over. Riku was silently hoping he'd be able to do it! If not, next attack turn, she'd catch him and end this.
Ryuu slid easily to the side, able to guess a little quicker which way the Sandshrew was moving. The Larvitar charged again, taking some time to plan it out. This time he aimed from a different direction to Bite down on the pokemon and end this! This time, he didn't plan on tripping or anything.

Riku shifted as the Sandshrew managed to avoid the Sandshrew by a mere inch. It was so...close but he had still failed in his attack. She shifted pulling out a pokeball and holding it in the palm of her hand. Alright, time to just watch and wait. The opportunity would present itself soon enough...
Ryuu was almost there when the Sandshrew turned in the opposite direction in one quick, fluid motion. The Larvitar couldn't move fast enough and thus missed. Irritated, he stepped back eyes focused on his opponent. He wasn't going to let him hit him again!

Eyes unblinking the Sandshrew would take another heavy step forward, swinging his shadow gorged claw like a bowler. This would be a rather underhanded Nightslash...literally!

Riku returned Ryuu to his pokeball once the Nightslash knocked him out cold. The Larvitar hadn't stood much of a chance against this one. Irritated, she then pulled out the pokeball. The girl glared at the pokemon and then tossed it right at him. She was going to catch him and then throw him into the ocean...

Riku watched as the ball hit the pokemon head on. She felt a strange rage towards it, completely out of character from the normally friendly girl. The ball then was surrounded by a red light and transported to her pokelot. Nothing she could do about it right now. She glanced at Loki and hugged the Emolga. Unfortunately none of the pokemon they faced so far were good for the flying squirrel pokemon to battle. The girl wouldn't send him into a suicidal battle. Though she'd find a way to help make him stronger. Shaking the thought off, she watched as Yoshi's ball glowed before he popped out and appeared on her other shoulder. Shrugging, the girl moved forward down the tunnel. Hopefully she could find a Rat!

Walking down the tunnel, it was eerily quiet. Had the others that ran ahead sent warning to scatter? The girl shrugged, not knowing what else to do. She had to keep checking regardless of whether she wanted to or not. All missions needed to be fully completed. With this in mind, she continued forward.

Continuing her merry little adventure into the tunnel, the girl's footsteps would soon be drowned out by the sound of a man bellowing, the sound closely accompanied by a far less human cry. "GRRRRRAAAAAAAH!!!!" The scream seemed to echo throughout the tunnel, followed faintly by the sound of splitting wood and crumbling stone. The entire tunnel shook a moment later as something struck the wall round the bend....it would seem at some point the tunnellers had struck bedrock and been forced to go around.
When Riku went around to that side she'd find a man. His clothes tattered, though matching that of the previous men, he was no less then six foot five, perhaps even seven. Thick bodies and rippling with muscle, 'large' seemed like a vast understatement when describing this man. On one side of the man was a large iron ball wrapped around a chain, on the other a scarred and dented Rhyhorn. This guy wasn't simply a digger, he was an entire wrecking crew!
One thing was for certain though, this man was definitely a Rat.
"Tch....So rumor's o' a snake n' a tunnel 'er true! Oi Bison! Time ta git wrecken!" The man barked over his shoulder, obviously speaking to the Rhyhorn.

Riku looked a little worried. The man was massive and of course he would have a huge pokemon as well. Before she could say anything, Yoshi leapt off her shoulder. The Totodile seemed to charge forward fearlessly with his left claw glowing silver. It looked like the blue reptile was going to start this battle!

He might have been starting it off, but it was abundantly clear the reptile wasn't necessarily going to finish it as well! The moment the Totodile appeared he'd made himself a target, the Rhyhorn's red eyes narrowing on the runt of a gator. Horn lowered, right foot idly pawing at the ground, he only awaited the command.
"Bison smash em wit Dragon Rush!" The Pokemon's Trainer barked; and like that the Rhyhorn was off, bellowing loudly as blue green flames consumed his body. It was time to see what was truly superior here, rock or steel!

Riku watched as the Rhyhorn's attack landed strongly on Yoshi. The poor Totodile didn't have a chance as the tough rock pokemon slammed into him. Wincing, she watched anxiously. This battle was not going well. She was debating whether to let him attack or to heal him.. Then she realized that he was Flinching and was unable to move. Hee needed to stay strong and then be able to continue this battle by enduring this next attack!

Snorting as the Totodile was flung off the end of his horn, Bison twisted his head to one side, attempting to look back at his trainer. Raising one hand the man would run his thumb across his throat, grinning as he spoke the words "Dragon Rush."
Grunting, the Rhyhorn would turn his attention back to Yoshi, his front right leg pawing against the ground even as blue-green flames erupted around his body. Kicking off the ground Bison levelled his horn with the ground, fully intent on levelling something else while he was at it!

With that one attack, Yoshi fell the ground and didn't get back up. The Rhyhorn was a strong opponent indeed and this battle was going to be tricky. The girl gritted her teeth and then debated on what to do. In her head, she was trying to decide what pokemon to use. Finally reaching a decision, she then returned the unconscious Totodile to his pokeball and then threw out another ball. Appearing in the flash of light, the Sneasel appeared, claws raised.
">And so the Dark Avenger finds herself pitted against another foul foe...a malicious nemesis that must be vanquished<" the Sneasel muttered once she was released. The dark pokemon had quickly analyzed the situation, glancing at the Rhyhorn and the person beside him.">The huge stone beast must be defeated so the Hero must charge while he least expects it!<" With a cry, she charged forward aiming to slam into the Rhyhorn with Pursuit!
