Trying to get back to his senses, Rafe darted forward and lunged at the ankles of the first person that came near him. Granted, he missed, but at least he was trying. He was so scared that his whole ratty body was numb. The girl fell down and slowly stood back up. His cannons were still blatantly pouted at Edel. Just as he was about to attack her again, she asked Wilson a question. He paused, slowly lowering his arms while he mulled over his answer.
“Why do you think we’re here?” As if he would actually tell her.
And then he released another stream of gas.

 No. Nonononono. "Yin!" She half-turned, but only had time to watch as the Hunter tore the mantis apart. She just stared in shock, feeling like it was the last Trial all over again. Even the fact that she had hurt this Hunter earlier hadn't been enough to stop him... The daggers sunk into his thorax, and he let pained hiss as his Fear shield was broken.
Then the daggers were twisted. He was pinned on them for an agonizing moment before he dissipated. At least he had finally gotten an attack in, and distracted him from Alexander.

Danny's eyes were focused on only Roch, trying to pull him up. As he slightly shuddered, Danny did as well- with relief. She was so glad he wasn't-
A shot rang out behind her and Danny heard Rikki cry out. Her head whipped around to find the source of the noise.
Everything went in slow motion. Her eyes were wide as she just watched. Rikki was hit by that bullet, and a dark red spot was appearing on his chest below the collar bone- the place her hands often rested when they when they were laying together. She watched him slump over, not realizing it was paralysis and instead interpreting it as the worst.
Instead of getting up and attacking Gale, she just sat there. Motionless. Roch wasn't getting up. Rikki wasn't getting up.

The creature that downed Aleister staggered. Gale could smell the coppery tang of blood heavy in the air, even as he saw it spilling from beneath the creature's clothing, staining it that familiar dark red.
He started to move forward - but his legs felt heavy and he felt the FEAR of the room seeping into his body, suppressing it, and his head spun unpleasantly. Gale's fingers clenched around the gun, and he felt nausea rise in his throat.

Edel's expression hardened when she heard his reply. This was why diplomacy with their kind was pointless. The ghoul stood her ground as the stream of gas surrounded her, succumbing to the poisons and started to cough. She just about had enough.
Abandoning her old habit was hard; the ghoul had always been one for mid-range combat. But seeing how that was just not possible then, she would just have to deal with it. All that close combat training on the isle of War was going to be put to damn good use.
Exploiting the cover the cloud of gas provided, the ghoul simply charged straight at Wilson and emerged from the cloud to land a punch aimed at his neck. The good news? It would seem that the hunter didn't even notice the pesky oversized rodent that was slithering around his heels. The bad news? Everything else. Rafe wasn't thinking too clearly. Between the panic, and the FEAR in the room, and all the chaos, he wasn't even entirely sure what he was doing, and his teeth came into contact with nothing but air. Once that thing was gone he turned over toward the female that had been hassling him this entire time. She wanted his attention? Fine she'd get his attention. He moved toward her as fast as he could his punching daggers held firmly in his hand as he moved to stab at her chest with as much force as he could muster.

Nyyrikki could just see Danny in his peripheral vision. She looked so broken. He had to prove to her that he wasn't dead. He was hanging on for her. Somehow he struggled up, and he grabbed his weapon again. When he pulled the chains back and lashed the forward, he did so with all the strength he had. She barely even registered as the Hunter turned from where he'd dissipated Yin, finally focusing his attention on her instead. She'd wanted that earlier, when he was helping another Hunter gang up on Alex, but now, thanks, she could do without it. As he attacked with his blades, her FEAR shield kept her from taking any real wounds, but she could feel it flickering under the assault. She stumbled backwards, still too shocked to do more than try to bring her spear up to help defend herself. He had taken a step towards the other creature, the one that looked like a rat, but the chains from the dark creature slammed into him, sending Gale staggering sideways. He coughed, spitting blood, and then turned back, straightening. Holding the rifle up into position, he narrowed his gaze through the telescopic lens and focused on the chained one.

He moved in again for another attack his expression neutral though he couldn't help but sense some familiar emotion about her. Apathy. He often had apathy from various things - like failure. Sadness.
..All sorts of things.
....Hm. Did these things even feel emotion other than the desire to harm humans. Jude doubted it.

Danny's expression quickly changed from that of loss, then to confusion, and finally to to recognition. He was alive. Roch was too. Danny wanted to restrain him, because the wound on his chest was bright red and even in her airhead brain she knew that wasn't healthy, but he seemed persistent, almost stubborn in his efforts to damage Gale.
The second shot fired and Danny broke all over again, but in a different way. It was just too cruel. She had to watch it once, and then a second time. Instead of feeling empty, she felt something else. Fire. Not the warmth of a cozy flame, real fire. The real essence of FEAR.
She snapped like a twig. In a matter of seconds she was bruteball tackling Gale to the ground, sliding along the ground a few feet. Once they came to a hault, her claws scratched at whatever they could find. Clothing, his exposed neck, his face. The scratches were too quick and short to do any lasting damage, no major veins hit, but dear Jack did she wish they were.
