Marth answered "That was Lyre. She is no longer human, which is why she still lives. She has some interesting information to give you, along with some training." He slowly told her what happened yesterday, he left out a few points such as Lyre being her mother. He thought that was something best heard from Lyre herself.

Crystal sighed. "I am glad you helped me but baring a mark is a heavy price," she said softly. "I wish you had not had to do that."

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja watched Lyre's sword training. Her style is very similar to my own... I wonder if it is possible for her and I to train together, he thought. A tall man in a black jacket and silvery white hair leaned against the support of Crystal's tent. "I can say from experience that it isn't the ones who usually seek burdens that are able to withstand them... but usually it is those who don't seek a burden that holds up under the pressure best," he said as he cocked his head, the deep crimson gauntlet identical to Kinja's on his left hand and forearm. Kinja's, however, was a deep violet-black where Nero's was crimson. His pale blue eyes narrowed fractionally. "Don't let her go without a fight, boy... it is something you will regret to your death," he said as he turned away, the large broadsword hanging down between his shoulder blades tinging slightly. "My son, like me, has Sparda's bloodline flowing through him; don't hesitate to seek his help if it becomes necessary," he said as he walked away.

Marth nodded "I realized as much, but I couldn't let you die." he told her quietly. He slowly got up out of the bed, he stretch his arms out and heard a joint pop. He turned around to face Crystal and asked "Are you hungry?"

Crystal smiled and stood. "Of course," she said.
Lyre stopped her deadly dance, ending in a crouch with her blade before her. She heard the whispers, knew they recognized her. She did not care.

"Then lets get something to eat." Marth said as he waked out of the tent and took a deep breath. He waited a moment for her to join him outside before turning towards the camp's cook.

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja cocked an eyebrow, drawing his katana as he moved several paces forward, taking the hilt in both hands as he rose onto the ball of one foot with the other inches from the inner thigh of the other foot and simply balanced there like a statue. He saw several people glance his way as a couple of guards moved towards him before he started moving with almost inhuman speed and fluidity. He heard several sharp indrawn breaths as his blade became a blur of silver he slashed upward, downward and diagonally rapidly several times before he noticed the grin on one guard's face as he joined in, the blades flashing and clashing with sparks flying from the contact as both men moved fluidly, almost gliding over the snow as their blades never stopped moving though neither man was even touched; it was obvious that Kinja and the guard had trained either under the same teacher or that Kinja had trained the guard. It was actually the former rather than the latter, and the particular style they were using was almost forgotten, but very lethal.

Crystal followed him, still trying too get her head around what all he had told her and why her mark had been aching. She wasn't sure what her mark burning meant.
Lyre saw the man from the other day start to train and slowly straightened, sheathing her sword. "The Warrior Lyre has returned to save us all," she heard someone say. Then everyone who was not watching the match began to chant her name. Lyre just sighed. She cared nothing for their attention or their love. She left the training arena and walked over to a tree she knew very well. Its trunk had seen better days but it was still standing tall and proud. Just looking at the tree brought back memories of her time in the first two wars in that very same camp. She touched the trunk and thought back to her old friends, Lex, Kokin, and Ethan. A single tear fell down her cheek.

Marth made his way across the camp and to the cook. There wasn't much to choose from but he didn't complain he just grabbed some meat that was still warm and some soup that was getting chilly. He chose an empty table and sat down and started to eat.

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja smirked slightly as he shifted, leaning slightly to the left as the guard's blade whistled past his shoulder in a vertical downward slash technique referred to as the 'River of Light'. He countered swiftly with a twisting diagonal slice that deflected the sword to the side known as 'Parting the Silk', then used a basic upward diagonal slash known as 'Moon Rises over the Lake' to scrape the armor with a ringing sound. "You've been practicing well, though you left yourself open after the River of Light when you could have countered my Parting the Silk with 'Cutting the Clouds'," he said idly, sheathing his sword in a fluid motion known as 'Folding the Fan'. He moved fluidly, his stride fluid in the grace of a predatorial mindset; the technique itself was known as 'Cat Crosses the Courtyard', though it was mainly intended for quick movement and keen awareness. He paused, noticing Lyre near a tree. "Memories are often the worst things about life. Regrets of what we could and should have done are what can make your willpower both your greatest strength and the greatest weakness; I speak from experience in that," he said quietly, glancing up to the sky and noticing a tendril of dim sunlight fighting its way through the thick clouds. He noticed almost distantly that it landed directly upon Lyre herself.

"You need to eat something." Marth told Crystal as he looked from his food to her and saw that she didn't have any. He ate most of his already and was waiting for her to reply.

Maisujin Kazayo Kinja exhaled roughly, taking a couple of steps towards her. "Don't linger too long on the past, since the regrets in it can make you forget to live for the moment... the bonds we make with our allies and friends are often what holds us up during the darkest times... but living with nothing but regret will make you miss out on what's in front of you," he said softly, uncertain. He wasn't good at comforting people at all; he was better at killing demons and more rarely, training swordsmen. He hadn't done that in several years, however.
