"This is insane!" Nolan let Chael know, yet again trusting the younger kid, since he had fought and captured this thing before. Dosu and Valor were returned to their pokeballs. All the better before things got really bad. Nolan wouldn't be able to afford paying for any repairs anyway. Tossing the pokeball for the fully healed Servine ... Usurper ... the nickname just popped into his head, he gave the Grass Snake very specific orders which Croconaw to attack. "That one, Servine, get ready for a Tornado! But not just yet!" True to Nolan, Servine leaped forward to balance on one hand, ready to spin up the attack on the first word from Nolan. Her eyes fixed on the imposter Croconaw. Nolan wasn't too sure what Chael had in mind, but two on one still sounded like they were pretty good odds - just as long as whatever it is wasn't a Gyarados. "I hope this works ..." Post 195 "You're telling me!" Chael responded. True enough, the fake Croconaw was now a fake Servine. The faker hissed, whipping Argos with a Vine Whip. The gator leapt biting it with an Ice Fang. With a spin, he threw the imposter towards the center of the two starters. Argos ran, whacking the faker with a Flail. Whatever he caught, faced Argos, punching him with his own Flail! This one was stronger, making the Croconaw be pushed back. A Leaf Tornado while the imposter wasn't looking would be pretty good right about now. Leaf Tornado inflicts damage, and has a 30% chance to lower the target's accuracy. 1-30 is reduced accuracy. Servine saw the exact opening before Nolan did, just as confused as the two boys with this transforming doppelganger, yet more focused on what must be done. She was just plain better at battling than the silly human that claimed to be her trainer. The Grass Snake started her spin by the time Nolan registered that Argos was getting walloped, getting her tail's weight to whip her around. "Now, Leaf Tornado-" Before the words were finished, the green streaked tornado already extended to pick up the imposter Servine. It wouldn't be too effective, yet it would give Argos an opening of his own to recover and prepare for the next attack. Servine just hoped the Croconaw was ready, and she timed the spin just as she was getting too tired to hold the attack. She flung the other Servine at the feet of Argos, hoping he, in turn, would do his part of the battle. Sorry if I confused you.)) Post 196 The Leaf Tornado did it. With the combined efforts of Argos and Servine, the imposter went down. It's transformation began to undo revealing a.... Ditto? Chael's jaw dropped. "It was a bowl of Play Doh?" he asked, confused. It's derpy little face had squiggly lines, revealing it had been knocked out. Luckily. Returning it, he let his other Pokemon come out. That was... he didn't even know. "Our rears were handed to us by a clump of Play Doh." he repeated. Well, good a time as any to name it right? Quietly, he said "My name is Legion, for we are many. That's what I'll call it. Legion." (( Roffle, you did confuse me so I just guessed it was a Servine near the end of the post. And oh ... now I get it. Legion is the Ditto. Herp derp, I'm slow. )) Agile as can be, Nolan's Servine did another back flip and landed neatly on her back legs, ready for more. But such wasn't needed, the imposter was unable to battle. Servine smirked, yet there was a hint of confusion echoing the same confusion that Nolan felt. He had never seen a Ditto before, yet it was pink. And Mew was pink, so he made the assumption ... "Is ... it Mew? Maybe it just turned into goop because it got beat." Answering his own question, all was made clear when Nolan pointed his pokedex at the play-doh blob and he read the entries for it. "Oh ... oh, Ditto. I get it now. Wow, that was incredibly ... weird. It sure is aggressive, but erm, sorry about that. That was ... that was entirely my fault because Dosu attacked Legion first." Nolan nodded slowly, but he was glad it wasn't a real Mew, because hell, if a Legendary pokemon was that easily captured, Nolan would have to do a lot of rethinking of his life. "I'm sorry. Tell your Ditto I'm sorry that Dosu attacked it too. I guess everything isn't exactly peaches and cream with owning a Gyarados. Heh, understatement of the year?" But the way he said it didn't show any spite or anything like that. Argos was suddenly pumped. After a battle like that, it'd take forever to calm the reptile down. Despite all that had just happened, Nolan found himself grinning. He was really starting to warm up to Chael, and hoped the other trainer would stick around longer. And maybe be another friend. Plus, Nolan was really starting to understand Chael's type of humor. He was rather low-key and serious for a kid, but Nolan found himself liking that even more. "Understatement of the millennium maybe? I'll keep a closer watch on Dosu now. I promise." Speaking of which, Nolan had a few errands to run. "Hey, I'm going to swing by the Mart to buy some more pokeballs, and well, do you think it's about time to start heading to the next gym? Or is it worth it to keep on trying for fossils? I mean, at least if we check out the next gym, we can figure out what's needed to beat it." G A G E __ B A R R O W S..·´¯`·.._..·´¯`·..  Speaking of Ralts, another of those tiny green things was edging back up to Spheal, attracted by the happy emotions. Even risking the trainer, or perhaps even wishing to be captured, it shyly peeked out from around a pile of snow. Hey, Gage was pretty happy too right now to see another Ralts. One chance though, since it would run. The Ralts didn't look so worried when Gage pulled out a pokeball and hit the button to enlarge it. The Ralts was smiling at Spheal, and then ... Gage threw the pokeball with deadly aim, smacking the Ralts on its helmet-like head with the red and white capsule. One shake, the light went out, and it was caught. Excellent. One rare and difficult capture under his belt. If his Spheal was taken back, he'd have a pokemon of his own now. "Lucky lucky, we've got a good start now." Just need some Eevee now but it would be best to get some battlers in case he came across some trainers. SPHEAL LV.10 / RALTS LV.2 / #oooo7 // ProfileLOCATION // Route 1 to Gabron Ruins.

Nolan shook his head slightly when the electric dog was referenced, never having seen Blue. He had only seen Des's Zigzagoon and his Spinarak, however the part about a Ranger rang some bells. "Well, one of the guys I want to catch up with is a Ranger. I don't know all of his team. The other is a girl who's been really good at helping train my pokemon. I just hope she's still in the area and haven't moved on." Thinking a few things through, Nolan realized he needed to make some new plans pretty soon. He didn't really realize he'd be going through a desert so soon. But he got his badge and he evolved Dosu, so that was two huge issues he could cross off his list of problems. Focusing back on Chael, Nolan said, "Alright, then if you're really cool with waiting, I'll try to hurry. It's just that this guy said he'd help me with getting prepared for the rest of my journey, and honestly, I'm don't really want to end up dead in the middle of nowhere or anything." Chael commented, before adding "She saw fit to kick Argos in the face with heels on and let her Charmander tackle me." The boy looked more annoyed as he thought about her. He really didn't like her. Rich snobs were annoying, but she was a starting trainer too. Argos had planned to crush her Charmander, who was ironically just as violent as him. "I doubt you'll get left behind. The guy's probably just exagerating for some ranger recruit thing." he guessed. Being from Johto, he wasn't as familiar with rangers. But he knew a lie when he saw one. Nolan looked like a capable trainer if he could tame a Gyarados. Nolan searched his memory just to make sure, but nope, he certainly didn't meet any Totodile-kicking girls with a Charmander. And Kiera didn't seem the type at all. "I kinda wish I picked Charmander. Anyway, too late for that and Servine is just awesome." Nolan waved away the thought. "And I don't know if he was exaggerating or not about the Ranger training. If anything, I'll know the next time I run into Lukus. He said he would mentor me for awhile, so I still don't know. But the girl I was talking about is named Kiera. She's kind short, looks younger than me, and has short hair. She likes to have all her pokemon out at the same time too, kinda like you." Recalling Kiera, that reminded Nolan that he still had that bag of treats she gave him. Getting it out, he chuckled a little when he saw Servine perk up immediately to get a treat. Nolan offered a handful for Chael to share with his pokemon. "She likes to give her pokemon treats too. These were a gift from her." Post 201 With a nod of thanks, Chael took the snacks and gave each of his Pokemon one. "She'll get what's coming to her. The salamander doesn't listen and is more aggressive than Argos, who's just calmed down. Imagine that as a Charizard." he said with a slight shudder. He knew Pokemon were fully capable of turning on their trainers. And a fire breathing dragon, who's breed is known for being disobedient power houses.... she'd be lucky if she even got that far. "But the Ace Trainer specializes in dragon types so yeah. She gave him a scar over his left eye but it's healed." he added. If Nolan paid attention, he'd see the Croconaw was covered in scars. Only about one was received in Chael's care and that was from Belle. They weren't as nasty as Dosu's scar but they looked like they had hurt. And they were all over his body. Tsuki nibbled on his treat the longest, before rolling on his back then getting back up. In Chael's other hand was Legion's ball. Naughty or not it still deserted affection, right? And thus he sent out the killer Play Doh.
