(Attacking)

It was so peaceful when she came back to awareness. She would have been happy to spend a near eternity just lying there listening to the soft singing and the running water whilst staring up at that blue blue sky. When the voice spoke up, she didn’t have the will to resist already being so relaxed and simply slipped under.

When they next came too she really wished she had because wherever they were was completely different in a bad way. Ugh. That screeching was going to set off her headache again.

Bringing up a hand to rub at her temple she briefly wondered if she should ask about getting some kind of earplugs tonight because there was no way she was going to last the we-

Wait did he just say Hunters!?!

All her attention was immediately given to the two figures discussing in front of them.

Her face settled into a clearly displeased expression as it became apparent what they were talking about. She hadn’t minded fighting those other humans because, well, humans. Hunters though? She sometimes wondered if they still qualified.

Ugh. She’d just have to remember this was a dream. They couldn’t actually do anything to anyone.

Although that meant any Hunter death wouldn’t be real.

Annoying.

Feeling frustrated now with this whole thing Mandy was more than happy to take out her aggression on the flashes of white coat she saw, running towards them as she fished out the daggers they’d oh so kindly been provided with.

Her first quarry was already surrounded by several clan members but that didn’t stop Mandy joining in with a few good slashes, releasing a small surprised noise at the flashes of Fear she felt as they went down screaming.

The hollow clatter didn’t really register with her over all the sounds around them.

A brief frown tugged Mandy’s face as she noticed the number of Hunter’s without those awful weapons of theirs. Had they lost them in the fray? Was that even possible…?

Either way it defiantly made them weaker and easier prey so Mandy when she spotted one alone huddled in a corner clearly terrified out of its mind didn’t even hesitate to leap at it with her daggers. These abominations didn’t deserve the courtesy of a fair fight.

Still she wasn’t cruel, a dagger to the heart was quick if painful and bloody. She also wasn’t stupid enough either to give them time to strike back with any slower wounds.

(Attacking)

Somehow over everything a single noise caught her attention, a death gurgle. She turned towards it, nearly wincing in sympathy at the fatal if slow injuries a Hunter spotted but mostly just fighting the urge to roll her eyes. Sloppy.

A knife to the back of their neck, their struggle ended, she moved on.

Watching.

It took Herryk a few moments to come to his senses when he first arrived in the tunnels. The blatant reek of the tunnel was hard to ignore; as the draugr moved further into the semi-darkness, he paused at the gruesome scene laid out before him. Gruesome, and yet... almost enjoyable. The Fear in the air was palpable, and it was an experience that Herryk was quickly growing addicted to.

The Clan soldiers were ruthless; a large group of them surrounded a man. Herryk could recognize the man for what he was - the sight of his weapon and the white jacket the man wore labeled him a hunter. The same type of hunter that he'd come into contact with at the Haunted House what felt like forever ago.

As the garbled screams clawed themselves free from the dying hunter's throat, Herryk wallowed in the Fear that the hunter radiated. It was empowering; he could feel himself growing strong and stronger.

Attacking.

Herryk followed after the group of Four Clan soldiers; he was hungry for the next kill. It was as if some primal instinct had taken hold of the draugr, one that he was near powerless to deny. It thrummed just beneath the surface of Herryk's skin; a deep ache to destroy. To conquer. It was familiar, comfortable and persistent.

When the soldiers happened upon another hunter - female this time - the draugr only hesitated for the briefest moment before he was in the fray. Each sick, wet crunch of snapping bone only fueled Herryk's bloodlust. Again and again his fists struck the hunter until the only thing that was left was a pulpy mess.

It was exhilarating. Empowering. He could feel the Fear that the human exuded. He could feel it, and it only drove him further.

Attacking.

Herryk was not a cruel boil. When he happened upon a hunter in the final throes of death, Herryk did not stand idly by as the creature wheezed haplessly. He did not merely want to watch it suffer - he wanted to be a part of that suffering. He wanted the hunter he towered over to know the same kind of Fear that he'd felt so long ago in the haunted house; the crippling, chilling fear that had knotted something in Herryk's chest when he'd seen that wheel come crashing towards him.

Resting his foot alongside the hunter's jaw, Herryk rolled his foot forward in one quick movement; the hunter's jaw was effectively snapped.

So soft, so weak. So permanently dead.

((ROLL 1: ATTACKING))

For a first moment after Shenny found herself in a classroom again, she felt uncertain: was Aeaea and the mysterious lady, and all their talks just a dream?.. Could it be a logical consequence of her stress?.. She need some time to think it over.

However, it was all cleared out very soon, right after they entered the second door. Jack, she could have predicted the next situation they would be thrown into! Medea wasn't playing hard on them: in fact, their strategy was surprisingly straight and obvious. Of course, students have to fight humans again. Kill humans, and probably be killed by humans once more. That's how you teach boils and ghouls of hatred.

This time they were in even a stranger world: darkness, tunnels, a bit similar to that of Death Isle underground system, but much more dirty, and the scent rubbed into the very fabric of this place was disgusting. There were no Halloweeners, just horsemen dressed in a strange uniform, and students were wearing the same outfit. Probably, thought Shenny, to make it easier for them to identify themselves with the Right Side. No, Death clan wouldn't make any mistakes leaving them even a slightest chance to choose.

Again, it was very fast, a battle started immediately. Their enemies were strange humans, presumably soldiers, wielding some weird glowing weapons that proved to quite effective against fear creatures. The result of the battle wasn't obvious. Shenny noticed a couple of clansmen grouping into a team to attack one of the humans. The ghoul decided she shouldn't look suspiciously, and joined their attack in the human's last moments. It's all an illusion after all. The scent of blood, sweet and attractive, filled her nose.

((ROLL 2: ATTACKING))

Not all their enemies wielded those strange glowing weapons; some of the humans were unarmed. Perhaps, those with the weapons are soldiers, and others are just common citizens? Shenny couldn't help questioning herself: what was the point of this massacre? At least, war they were given in a previous door, was understandable, but why killing common humans JUST FOR FUN? As the ghoul was watching other students engaged in the battle, she thought about somebody, - horsemen, humans, whatever, - attacking the Halloween and killing peaceful citizens and innocent scarelings. Nobody is gonna like it, yeah?..

Funny enough, horsemen were targeting armless humans first. Shenny noticed one of them cornered, he was emanating quite a good portion of fear. She swiftly cut his throat; it seemed better than torturing him any longer.

((ROLL 3: WATCHING))

The battle started to bother her. After their previous lesson, she had no mood to train her battle skills, especially since she saw absolutely no point in this slaughter.

Shenny heard a tiny gurgling noise. An injured human was lying on the ground dying. The ghoul moved towards him and took a seat nearby looking at him. He noticed her, but closed his eyes; she could sense he's no more. The sorceress closed her eyes, as well. She always thought she's quite cynical, and wouldn't ever hesitate to be cruel and violent. But there should be sense, there should be reason: hunger, danger, lust, defence, even lust for killing would work, any of the common reasons to kill or be killed. But she saw nothing like this here. It was just insanity.

Why are they attacking humans? Why do they need to kill them, in the first place?.. Humans were providing the Fear, the essential substance to sustain their lives. That was true that a dying human emanated quite a lot of Fear, this fear was special, it was delicious and empowering, it was really a drug. But it was disposable. An ersatz. It was so easy, that a little kid would be able to get it: a living human is capable of being scared all his life. He's providing tons of Fear, suitable for all the creatures of the Halloween. A dying human.. no matter how good his fear is, but he would no longer be able to give more. But Halloweeners, and probably clansmen, are in a constant need of Fear, we need it every so often. What is the solution?.. Are horsemen seriously going to keep killing them to meet our needs? But one day, there will be no human left, and what's then?..

Her mind demanded an explanation. Shenny understood she won't be able to act like it was normal up to the end.

Attacking

She felt like she was floating. Except not in a good way. Her head felt dizzy and there was way too much white. Again! The she-wolf stumbled as she looked around, feeling as if she'd been sleeping way too long. And why the Jack she had been sleeping to begin with was beyond her. But there was Medea. That was a good thing...right? LW shivered, tail swishing behind her, hands rubbing along her arms. Her nose wrinkled as the next door was opened.

LW quite disagreed as she eyed the door. This was totally the time for questi-

The loud roar made her jump, body tensing and fingers curling in preparation to attack. But the strange thing...no not 'thing' it was a train of some sort. Nothing like the kind they had, but it was close enough to make the she-wolf recognize what it was. And the smell. LW coughed, rubbing her nose and trying to work through the scents she was picking up.

Wet. Dirty. Rank earth. Almost like a sewer or something. Or a tunnel.

A voice spoke and her violet eyes flashed to the figure speaking. What...nope. She gave up on even bothering to ask questions at this point. Nothing made sense. Why was that a surprise? She shifted her weight uncomfortably, noticing that she wasn't wearing her usual clothing. LW blinked. Why did she have a weapon?

Dear Jack. If I don't lose my sanity at some point it will be a miracle.

She hoped Ren was doing better. And...wasn't Tybalt here somewhere? She tried to find her friend. Could feel that he was here. But when they started moving and something else came their way - something familiar and much hated - LW forgot about anything else. Her eyes were wide in confusion and fear. Hunters. There were Jacking Hunters here! Her heart beat tripled, a low growl forming deep in her chest. LW didn't stop to think about her actions, survival instinct combined with her own fear taking over. She watched some of the Four Clans members. How they were picking their targets. The weaponless humans first. The she-wolf mimicked their actions and darted in, striking a heavy blow to a human. Her fingers, nails elongated, went right for their throat. It wasn't until she looked down at her hand, seeing the blood coating it and the human crumbled at her feet that her mind caught up.

LW cried, stumbling back in shock and mounting horror at what she'd just done. Oh Jack. Oh Jack. It was no where near as bad or bloody as what the Four Clans members were dishing out. But the fact remained the same. She'd just killed someone. Even if it was a human.

Attacking

She couldn't believe her own actions. Couldn't even move from where she stood. Not until something crashed into her, forcing her to move. LW stumbled, whirling around to fight back. But it the one who'd bumped her was already engaged in a battle. The she-wolf just backed away, leaping over fallen bodies as she moved out of the immediate area of fighting. Her heart was beating too fast as her breathing was too harsh. Panic. Horror. Fear. All of it was engulfing her. How? How could she so easily have taken a life like that?! She glanced over her shoulder, eyes taking in all the fallen bodies.

A noise caught her attention, making the she-wolf pause. It sounded like a gurgle, but it wasn't right. Hesitating, LW looked around to find the source. And when she did, she wished she'd just ignored it. It was another human. One that was clearly dying. How they were still breathing was beyond her. And again, that not-right gurgle sound escaped them.

Something in her threatened to break. It was like watching a pitiful animal attempting to just end its misery but unable to muster even that amount of strength. LW moved towards them cautiously, one step at a time. Her eyes stared hollowly down at them.

Biting her lip, LW closed her eyes. Nails extended, she struck cleanly. There was a final gurgle...and then silence. She rose to her feet, turning her back on the body before opening her eyes. LW felt blank. Hollow. Not herself. She moved towards the shadows, avoiding any eye contact with those that might be clinging to life, blocking out the noises of the dying the best she could.

(( Roll 1 - Attacking ))

When Lou again stirred from his slumber, confusion echoed on his face for brief moments before he realized indeed, that scenario was more than likely nothing but some kind of loopy trance. "Damn, that was bitchin'." If anyone had cared to know his stance on what happened, there it was. Obviously Lou had been unaffected by the gruesome carnage and, in fact, came back in better spirits somehow.

"Oh boy, what's next? Are we gonna light an orphanage on fire or something? I think that'd be a great way to learn about death." It seemed that every day he spent on the isle of death outweighed his whole time on conquest's isle. It was just... So brutal! There, they wanted you to be poised and controlled. Here, they were tossing weapons at you and saying 'b***h, don't just stand there! Go ******** those guys up!' And they certainly didn't have to tell him twice.

When the white faded back into a new, darker scene, the vampire's head turned every which way. "Oh, city life. Now THIS is more like it!" He was as giddy as a school ghoul, especially when they found themselves among more warriors.

Which ultimately meant more bloodshed.

Speaking of bloodshed, when the vampire managed to look down, he was in awe of his new threads... And sharp new blade. "Oh Heeeeeeeeeeeeell yes." The boil bit his lower lip and held up the new weapon with excitement.

There was only a brief moment in the boil's mind when he thought 'You know, I probably should feel bad about this.' Which was quickly drown in the loud, booming voice that screeched 'THEY TOLD ME TO DO THIS, WHICH MEANS IT'S OKAY.'

It was, honestly, all the motivation he needed.

And thus, the battle had begun. Lou charged ahead with weapon tightly in his grasps, noting the swooping figures of the clansmen just above, attacking their enemies with mighty swings. Some dropped like flies, but others...

A screech, a splatter. It appeared that the horsemen were not as invincible as they boasted. Lou, however, was not apt to shed a tear for the fallen. Instead, he took it as initiating his turn to have fun.

The weapon the vampire held was wielded like an amateur, but with enough effort, even one with novice skills could kill with something sharp enough. "Here little piggies!" He yelled, alerting them to his charge. Though wounded from the previous attackers, the humans managed to tatter Lou's new attire. It was obvious now that the only way to leave this fight on top was to run like a little b***h! "Oh s**t, what's that up in the sky?" He yelled, pointing to nothing inparticular. Did it work? Surprisingly, yes. And with that, the boil fled into a patch of shadows.

(( Roll 2 - Attacking ))

While the vampire figuratively licked his wounds, spiral eyes closely examined the actions of the horsemen. It was a simple strategy. Pick off the ones who could not defend at the moment, so they didn't strike you down later. He liked that plan.

Lou's knuckles turned white as he gripped his blade tightly, noting one particularly scared human ghoul cowering in a corner with hands on her head. The fear she emanated. He could practically taste it.

Slow, concise steps approached. She shivered and shook. "Oh, you poor thing. All scared and alone. Shame you're not my type." Shouldn't he be flirting with her or something? No, for once something outweighed the vampire's desire for women. He felt bloodlust. It was overwhelming even the better parts of him.

"Please don't hurt me." She pleaded, a look of desperation filling those lightly colored hues.

"Of course I wouldn't hurt you. Why, a gentleman like me would never-" Whooooops. Looks like his blade slipped into her chest cavity. "Oh, clumsy me." He slashed across to ensure the job was done, a splatter of blood hitting his cheek.

Turning back around, the boil licked his blade clean and sighed. Who knew hard work could be so... Delicious?

(( Roll 3 - Attacking ))

And then A large group of horsemen converged on a single target. Oooh, that must've been a big one, then.

There couldn't be any real harm in joining a large group, could there? Nah. Just listen to the shrieking, the agony. Oooh, it was giving him goosebumps!

"Room for one more, fellas?" Lou asked with a smirk, though it didn't seem like he would be waiting for an answer. The FEAR called to him. Oh Jack it was overwhelming.

The smell of the human's blood filled every scent receptor in the boil's nose, causing his eyes to fill with a dull white glow. Really, Lou barely realized what he was doing when he raised his own weapon to help end this creature's life, if only to secure his part in the reaping of such potent FEAR, and such decadent violence.

All in all, it was a successful day.

Watching

The she-wolf stuck to the shadows now, not wanting to stain her hands any more than she already had. It was bad enough she'd fallen so low as to take a life! LW couldn't even wrap her mind around this. The mere thought threatened to break her. To destroy whatever was keeping her functioning right now.

A group of several Four Clans members drew her eye. Slowing down, LW watched them. A single human wielding one of those hunter weapons was in the middle of them. The human was clearly out numbered and the Four Clans members didn't seem phased at all but the unfair advantage. LW could honestly say she was not either. The numbers could easily have been reversed. She wanted to look away. To not watch as they took down the Hunter. But LW found her gaze locked on the scene before her. The shrieks of the human hurt her ears, making her wince. The scent of their blood tingling against her senses and exciting the wolf she was. And oddly, she enjoyed it all. Especially the fear radiating off them.

Hearing that hollow clatter, like an echo of her own heart beat, LW couldn't take it. She turned away, blindly moving to escape. The fact that she had enjoyed it all pulled a strangled noise out of her. She felt...disgusted at herself for enjoying the death! Not that she didn't kill things when hunting with her family. But...these weren't little creatures! They...Jack!

Am I a terrible creature for feeling like this? The thought whispered through her mind.

Backing up, she let her back smack into the wall of the tunnel, just staring at it all. She didn't know what to think. Her gaze lifted enough to notice a familiar form nearby. Tybalt. But LW didn't move. She could only stare. And watch.
