Marcus expected something like this. Caelius was king of the hunter version of dine and dash. Mission out of no where, ditch in the middle of it. If they were looking for them, would probably be in the wall or hell maybe the floor or ceiling. Running his flashlight above, below, and all around, the moon trainee frowned. The clicking just got a scowl. Goodie. The mysterious clicking sound. It didn't seem to be coming from the trainees- he looked at the FEAR dectector on his wrist. "Could we have possibly set off other traps by having set off the one?" He paused. ".....If that is the case I would guess Caelius ditched us because he didn't want to die." He was careful to keep that part under his breath, Cass the only one probably hearing it.

Taking a few deep breaths, Jason stood upright, checking the gash that was now along his left arm, when he too heard the clicking sound. He looked around at everyone else, just as confused as they were as to what it was and where it was coming from.
"It's not me either..." He said. Though considering where they were, he wouldn't be surprised if a bolder came out of no where and they had to make a run for it. He looked up as if expecting one to appear, but nothing happened. Yet. Anxious to just get on with the mission so he could get out of this place, The moon trainee kept glancing around everywhere, trying to figure out just what would make that clicking sound.

Caelius was gone, and there was an unknown clicking noise at regular intervals as they began to move down the hall. That ... was not good. Jordan summoned Ferros; carrying a giant hammer might make moving around in the enclosed space more difficult, but having his weapon in hand seemed like it might be a good idea just now.
He directed his flashlight around the area, looking for anything that might be causing the clicking.

Sydney saw people looking right and left, so she did the only logical thing she could thing of. She aimed her flashlight up at the ceiling. She REALLY hoped there weren't bats in here.

Harrison waited until she was done babying Jerry, then nudged Candace with his elbow.
"You sure it's not the watch?" he asked, very dryly. "...We oughta get out of here."

And then Caelius was gone ... wonderful. The leaders they were left with didn't seem aaaallll that great either, no offense meant. But considering Julie, Tedan was of the opinion by this point that there were quite a few erm. Cracked in the head older Hunters. Or something like that.
Click.
Tedan paused for a moment. What was that?
Click
There it was again ... were they sure there were no monsters in here??
Click
"I don't think that's us," he murmured. This was officially creepy now.

Oh, <********> suspicious sounds. Madison also swept her flashlight's beam around warily; the overall effect of all the trainees doing so looked rather like a miniaturized version of the Hollywood sky on a Friday night. She slowly unsheathed one sword, wielding the flashlight in one hand and a blade in the other. Just in case.

Tori looked around for Infinity to see if she had made it across. Not too much later she did spot who she was looking for and went over to where Infinity was. "I see that you made it across in one piece," Tori said. "To answer your question "To my knowledge it is true and sorry for not answering you earlier one can never be to careful. In my first mission he smacked a trainee that didn't listen to his order with his weapon," she said in a low voice were not to be overheard as one couldn't be too careful as she would have answered the sunny earlier but didn't want to risk it with Caelius near and now that he all but vanished. "One has to be careful around Caelius and follow orders. She hadn't been surprised to see that the death division leader gone as he was acting a little strange. Oh well she thought and finding tablets didn't sound too hard to do as she moved her flashlight around to see if she could find any of them. But then Tori heard a clicking sound and grew a little nervous as she assumed it wasn't a natural sound of a cave. I will try. She replied back to her partner and Tori knew that she wasn't making the sound and really hope that maybe the sound was coming from a cave animal and not something else entirely.

Dim cave, strange clicking noises and an AWOL leader? Otto kissed his nerves goodbye right then and there.

The clicking was getting on Rep's nerves aswell, but he let other people wave their flashlights around looking, he hugged Tracey to him in a white knuckled grip, ready to run or attack, way too terrified to let go to even /use/ his flashlight. Of course it was reasonable to be scared here right right?
He had not a ******** clue.

This was bad. This was very bad. Caelius was now missing, and there was a mysterious clicking noise. Deryk couldn't help but feel another deathtrap was just waiting to happen. It was doing really well to unnerve him to say in the least.
"Got very bad feeling about this... Anyone see walls moving? Any gears? Chains? Mysterious mechanism? Floor shifting? Yes? No?" he asked in a very hushed tone.
Nervously, he tried to shine his flashlight to seek out any of the above.

Saya wondered if the clicking was coming from her. She raised her foot and put it back down, as if to test the sound it made. It could have been. But even her slightly tall heeled boots didn't make that click sound. It was sort of a shuffling against the cave grounds.
Nope. Not her heels.
Prompto's silence, she could tell if it was out of a mulling thoughtful silence or an appalled silence.

Enough people had stated the obvious. None of them were making the strange clicking noise. Bix whispered to Fini and Molly, who were still next to him as they walked, "This is going to be one of those missions where our leader disappears and then we get attacked and then he shows up at the last second with all the tablets. I think we are decoys like... 80% of the time." In the meantime he looked at the floor with his light. Perhaps they were stepping on hidden switches or something.

As a last resort, Sandy turned to look at Barney, though he seemed to preoccupied at looking for his cell phone to really be making any, now that she thought about it, really creepy clicking noises.
She held her breath one more time, waiting for the sound-
- Which never came. The Death Hunter wasn't too sure if this was a good thing or bad thing. "Okay then, moving on. All trainees, make sure your Fear scanner is working, that is, you have them turned on." A pause. "That's the button on the side of it that says 'on'. We're going to move forwards."
While the hallway seemed practically endless as they pushed ahead, the illustrations continued to change from wall to wall, slowly delving from horsemen to various classical omens of rain and hellfire, though they themselves seemed to tell a cohesive story. Ten minutes into the walk, the pictures all took the same theme: a large horizontal panorama of the various robed, skeletal figures marching in procession towards an indefinite close. Each of them had engraved on their foreheads something that seemed almost out of place underneath their ornate jewelry and crowns: three stylized sixes. Though the text underneath it was gibberish for those who were not versed in the formal language of the Four Clans, the illustrations did more than enough to depict the setting.
And when Sandy finally stopped was when the illustration finally closed, tapered off into another large room. This area was more a chasm than a room itself, a set of narrow stairs tapering downwards, leading into an unknown abyss. She hesitated, and then, very slowly, shifted balance on one foot to the first of the steps, then the next: it wasn't until she was a good few steps ahead that she moved her flashlight around to beckon the trainees. The torches extended only as far as the top of the stairway.
Considering there was only one path that lead forwards - or down, really - there was only one option for them. The stairs continued to spiral downwards, hugging the edges of the large chasm: it seemed like hours, though in reality, only a few minutes, before they hit the bottom. Sandy immediately recoiled as her foot landed in something wet, moving the flashlight downwards.
Just a dark, muddy water underneath her. With a sigh, she pushed forwards, noting with her flashlight the series of archways all diverging into different directions. Unfortunately, there was no lighting, other than the group's flashlights. Each archway had above it a different character set, but her knowledge of latin, and even then, the formal speak of the Four Clans was weak at best.
When her watch began to beep softly, pulsing intermittently, she immediately took a few more steps, shoes sloshing in the frigid water, before moving her flashlight in large arcs in the water. Sure enough, she located a weapons tablet.
'There are more around.' Her weapon was more than happy to inform her, though he sounded extremely tense. Anxious. 'Hurry, we should not linger for too long'.
"No kidding." Sandy reached into the water - the liquid biting her skin with pure numb cold as she picked out a weapons tablet and held it out. "There are a few of the tablets here, search in the waters, close to the walls, but don't wander too far away from these stairs." She thought for a second, and then summoned her weapon, wrapping her flashlight around the handle before sticking him into the ground, between a small crevice. "This is our start point so noone gets lost. As long as you see this light, you are in a reasonable range, please don't venture any further."
With that, she took out her spare flashlight, a smaller, more compact version, and began the search herself. The sooner they were out of here, the better. OOC - You are now searching for weapons tablets. They are rather small, and fairly heavy, around 10lbs and 3-4 inches in height, easy to miss due to the darkness, the distortion of the water, and their texture, a similar quality of the stone-built Lair. - Your trainee can roll a 100-sided dice up to 3 times to try and locate a tablet, it is recommended they pick up at least one to pocket/store. Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice to the results below each time. Roleplay out the results. 1-20: You pause for a second as you swear you hear that odd clicking noise again, though it seems to be your imagination. You scan the darkness with your flashlight, and see nothing. 21-40: You smell something putrid, a ripe, sharp smell, but moving your flashlight down the area yields only an endless darkness further beyond. You try to search for a tablet, but see nothing. 41 - 60: You nearly trip over something, what seems to be a dislodged piece of stone. Upon moving your flashlight over it, you realize it is a weapons tablet. 61 - 80: You see something glint in the water, and you quickly pick it up. It is a piece of a shattered something that is curved and brittle to the touch, coloured a dull yellow-white, but unfortunately not a weapons tablet. 81-100: You notice that there are certain parts where the ground is more uneven than others. Upon tracing the uneven areas with your foot, as it is too dark for the flashlight to even see, you notice the form odd, semi-circular craters. However, this does not really help you find a weapons tablet.

No questions asked. Just follow. Dillon preferred it that way. The mist trainee took to observing the things around him as they entered the cave, rather than be caught up with with small talk.
Or not.
<< Quite exquisite no? >>
Dillon paused to look at the etchings on the wall. Ah yes. Death and destruction upon all. It didn't take him a lot of effort to figure out that he was in enemy territory. The dank and cold air in the hallway wasn't very pleasant either.
<< Look out! >> Inez hissed, but that warning came too late. Dillon was a little too stunned to say anything. The arrow had whizzed by and grazed the calf of his left leg. Shock? Surprise? For some reason, the trainee wasn't feeling the full sensation of pain yet.
<< Summon me >> she instructed, and so he did, ensuring his greater safety with the fear shield up. He didn't need her help to figure out what to do next.
Just Run.
HP: 30/40 - - -
The rain of arrows stopped soon enough, and the trainee was beginning to limp. He was starting to feel the pain all right.
Well, s**t. << Hmph >>
As instructed, he switched on the Fear Scanner and started his search, staying close to the wall. The mist trainee treaded through the cold, muddy water slowly ... quietly ... lest he be oblivious to the things that lurked in the dark.
A pause. Dillon turned around sharply and shone his flashlight at the water a few feet away. Nothing. He squinted his eyes and stopped to listen, moving his torch across one spot to another. Still nothing.
