Romero started when he heard a knock on the door. He grinned in pleased anticipation. Had someone come to the cook-off already? He hoped it was so. The Venezuelan turned down the stove so that his hallaca-in-process wouldn't burn and strode to the door.
But when he unlocked it, he found only the ghost girl he had yelled at much earlier in the day. He frowned down at her in surprise. "Hola, Franny," he greeted her with some consternation. "Are you here for the cook-off?"
Out of Caracas: Everyone who's been invited, show up when possible with cookware. Please?

Obviously the ghost wouldn't have come for the cook-off. Unlike mortals, she didn't need to eat... Romero knocked himself on the forehead a few times for stupidity. In response to her inquiry to Luis, he told her, "He's not in here right now. He's probably right outside taking care of his horse." Out of Caracas:

"hmmm...he has a horse?" she didn't know many people who owned horse's, she really didn't care for the animal much. She walked right through Romero and into the room. "Well I'm very interested in the cook off or what ever."

A chill passed through Romero as Franny simply phased right through him to check out the stove. Mierda, that ectoplasm was cold... "Oye, Franny," he called after her before following her into the kitchen, "that's disturbing. Do you do that a lot?"
He found the ghost eyeing his half-cooked hallacas curiously and hastened to it, for they smelled like they were about to burn. "These are hallacas," Romero told her, turning up the heat and flipping the appetizers over to cook them evenly. "My country makes them mostly around winter. They taste really good, especially when properly stuffed with meats and tropical fruits." The Venezuelan paused to rotate them within the pot. "As for the cook-off," he continued, "Luis and I planned this as a way to prepare for the upcoming multicultural festival. I invited about six other students to come. We're all going to cook and eat in here. I think Tennessee will bring music, too. Who knows? Maybe we'll even be able to party!" Doubtful that that would go over well--he had only invited two girls, one of whom seemed to be missing.

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorLuis Esteban hummed as he went inside the dorm, to get his supplies to clean up Esperanza's hooves "Hey, hermano. Lo siento, but I might not be able to cook today. Esperanza needs a bit of attention today, and I want to clean her up." He saw the ghost from the otehr day was there "Oh, hola Franny. What are you doing here? Did you get invited?"{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

Franny A free spirt that stays with Conneticut for some reason... ________________________________________ Franny wasn’t really listen to what Romero was saying. "All I can cook is Pasta...." she mumbled. "I'm from Connecticut so we don't really have a cretin food we make." she said with a small sigh. She smiled when she heard the word Party and Luis in the same second. "Well If you do get the party going I'm glad Luis will have some fun." Just as she finished her sentence Luis came in. " I just came over cause I could, I was really bored." She paused before speaking again.. "Nope I wasn't invited, but I totally just invited myself"

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid Junior"Ah, I see... Well, I hope you'll have fun. I'm going to spend the day pampering my horse. She's such a poiled little princess, but she deserves it. Besides, I'm sure Romero can handle the cooking on his own." Most people's pride and joy are their cars. Some, their horses. And Esperanza was Luis's pride and joy. And he wanted her to be beautiful.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

"You are going to cook or what ever you’re not going to take care of your horse. She said. Franny then smiled. "You missed the last party and you need to go to this one. Or am i going to have you get drunk again" She was going to make Luis go to this party!

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid JuniorThe Argentinean scratched his head "Technically, it's a cook-off, not a party. It's practice for the festival that's coming up. Besides, I don't need practice, I already know what I'm going to cook on that day. What I'm going to wear, my music, everything." He hoped people wouldn't misunderstand him, it's not that he was anti-social. However, if he's going to make friends, maybe this will be his opportunuity. Especially since it's only going to be a few people, and it won't be so loud.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: ) Argentine Republic Republica de Argentina

 Sr. Romero Valentín
República Bolivariana de Venezuela ████████████████ ██☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆██ ████████████████
Romero couldn’t imagine Luis ever being drunk. His hermanito, unlike the rest of Antonio’s family, couldn’t hold his liquor well at all. Luis and alcohol just didn’t fit. Had Franny really seen the Argentinean drunk, or was she just bluffing? He made a note to ask her about that later.
Meanwhile, it seemed Luis would rather squander the evening pampering Esperanza. If he really didn’t want to cook, the Venezuelan was fine with that, but he couldn’t resist reminding his younger brother what he would miss out on. “I know what I’ll wear and do, too. But it would do us both good to meet some of the other nations and try out their food.” Romero remembered all too well Hungary’s forgetfulness about him, and he hoped that he could make Europe more aware of South America with this cook-off.
A loud and continuous hiss from the pot made Romero whirl about. Mierda! He really had let the hallacas burn! Hastily, he flipped them all out above the pan, catching them neatly on a plate a moment later. “Oye, you two,” he said, hailing them both with the steaming plate, “Do you want to try these and make sure they’re all right?”
Out of Caracas: Ugh... Not much to do until at least ONE other person shows up...

Luis Esteban Salazar-CarriedoThe Timid Junior"Uh, isn't that the point of the festival? Besides, I like it better when things are a nice surprise." Suprises seem to make things better. This would be a good opportunity for people to know Argentinean culture, since people barely know of it outside South America. Luis Esteban saw the plate of burnt hallacas "Uh.... No gracias... I don't really eat burnt food."{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: =.=; If you would've read back in the dorm, Luis doesn't hate alcohol, he just can't handle it, even the smell gets him drunk. "Qué? They're not that badly burned..." To prove his point, Romero selected an hallaca from his plate and took a bite. Almost immediately he spit it out. "Ugh! That one say too long in the oil..." Trying another, he found that one much more appetizing. "Sí, they're not bad at all. You sure you don't want to try one?" (Phone. Franny sighed, he really wanted to take care of the horse? "Come on Luis please Stay?" she gave him her best hurt puppy dog look. When the timer went off Romero fled into the kitchen, only to return with ummm what looked like food.
"umm I don't think in should....you know ghost can get pretty judgement about food." She said trying to make up an excuse
