Slipping in without a word, Minerva brought a hand to her forehead and expelled a great sigh of relief. Caelius was gone, which meant her arriving late would go unnoticed...for now. But, Caelius was gone, and that meant she had missed the information touched on.
That was what she got for sleeping in. Never again would she listen to Blythe.
She would need to find out what exactly was going on before the crowd disbanded, but for now the back-and-forth banter/conversation/arguments had captured her attention and kept her silently propped up against the wall in wait.

The shot hit Minerva's FEAR shield out of nowhere and without warning, once again, it was only enough to very painfully damage the trainee's FEAR shield. "Eavesdropping is an inefficient intelligence gathering technique when among allies. Get changed into the mission uniform, your fellow trainees will brief you as you dress."

Otto was so glad he heeded the orders of Simon. It seemed he truly was not shy with the trigger.

Jude simply observed Trigger Happy and took a moment to relax. He was dressed again and ready to go.
Uggh. People take forever.
"Like herding cats..." He muttered under his breath. Not like he had anything better to do but he was getting pretty impatient.

"I mean... it's not like I've seen THAT many but I mean, compared to like... Robert... it was just so... sad and silly looking!" Jerry wobbled defensively, picking at his funny Japanese dress as he waited for their superior's crooning to end. He'd have to give him some tips on pitch later.

" ... No, seriously, didn't need to know," Jordan said, and whacked the back of Jerry's head lightly. "No comparisons, no measurements, no descriptions, just no."
Ferros cackled. Size chart!

Allan managed to finish the last line of his chorus and reprisal, and another reprisal of a chorus just as the last of the trainees filed in and got changed. "Excellent work, squad members. Now, as you are now all part of my division-" hopefully the Sun Hunter meant his figurative division and not the real one -"we must lay down some ground rules. Rule number one: your friends are your nakama. That's means you gotta be bros, bros keep an eye out on each other. Rule number two: whatever you see out there that isn't your bro you shoot down, or slice down, or hit it. Hitting things first, ask questions later, we're Sun Hunters, we don't do the entire twenty-five questions things okay?"
Allan crossed both arms, giving an approving nod at the rather motley crew before exchanging glances with Simon. "And last and this is the most important part of the exercise, you must believe in yourselves. Each of your has your own spirit, channel and summon your inner spirit power and believe in yourself while doing it, it will always make you stronger. MIGHT CONQUERS ALL, ALWAYS CHARGE IN HEADFIRST." Unfortunately, that was probably not the inspiration speech most trainees were looking towards, in fact, it sounded rather suicid-
- "And now behold, my spirit gate!" Somehow, somewhere during his entire speech, or maybe while he was singing his inspirational song, the Sun Hunter lead had managed to create a rather impressive portal inside the room. It was unnoticeable at first, a simple white with a thin gold border depicting the 'frame' of the portal: that is, until he pretty much put one hand into the constructed door, testing it. "This here is the Spirit Way Door, it goes to the other side, but you gotta run fast through it okay, otherwise those evil bastards inside the zone will eat you alive. If you see one catching up to you just punch it in the face okay?" What was that saying about Sun Hunters and their short-termed lives again....? "Now, I'm gonna step through, you all follow. Go in, kill some Hollows, come back home. Easy peasy."
The good news, as trainees followed Allan through the portal, was there was no zone, the portal simply went from the classroom to the mission battlefield.
The bad news was they had literally landed smack-dab in the center of the mission battlefield, a desolate grey field as far as the eye could see. Battlefield, being a very generous term: some trainees might have likened the sheer amount of creatures surrounding them something to amount of shadowlings in the Shadow Run, only several hundred times more. They were for the most part, bland, compared to the other Halloween encounters: pale faces, glassy eyes, and a slow zombie-like gait was some of their only defining features, and seemed to move instead, in masses.
However, the second the trainees stepped onto the field, the mounds of swarming undead swiveled their heads, arms outstretched as they tried to claw and tear at the first sight of human life. In fact, just mere moments later, it was becoming increasingly hard to see anything but masses of lackluster rotting flesh, and long, bony claws. While the first few swipes and attacks may not have hurt too badly, the fact that trainees were caught right in the middle of thousands of them would easily overwhelm even the most capable Hunter-
- With what seemed like the exception of Allan as he yelled, whooped again, and then used his sword weapon to blast large sweeps of light at anything remotely moving.
"Getsuga buster three-thousand and one!" Another blast of white light as the creatures went flying into the air, a small path clearing around the trainees.
"Getsuga buster three-thousand and two!" The sky was practically full of flying undead.
"Getsuga buster three-thousand and three!" A nice, large path had been cleared right around the trainees, a sort of moment's respite, though the creatures were steadily, slowly climbing towards the group of trainees again. The Sun Hunter lead looked back. "Yo dudes, you gotta hit them. Hit their masks and chains man, for an ultimate weakness combo attack!" With that he was off again, apparently setting some sort of personal countdown record.
Pro tip: these undead masses had no masks or chains. OOC: ATTACKING THE UNDEAD MASSES - All trainees need to defend themselves from the giant swarm of ??? undead before they are overwhelmed! While the mobs might be slow, they are also extremely numerous in size, vaguely humanoid in form. - To attack: Please follow the dice mechanics below! Trainees: Roll THREE 8-sided dice. If the first dice roll is under 4, they miss their attack entirely, most likely due to the unfortunate mobility restrictions of their new uniform. If they do not miss, the second dice is the total amount of undead mob they take out on that turn, make sure to rp out this post. Lastly, the third dice is the damage that the mobs do to them. Intermediate Trainees: Roll THREE 10-sided dice. - Attack rolls proceed as normal after this, charged attacks are usable after 3 successful charges. Make sure at the bottom of the attack post to post their total HP value and mobs taken out.

Prior to running through himself, Simon quietly gave Dakota and Minerva a bandage that restored their FEAR shields. "Going on a mission injured would be inefficient."
The assistant seemed unfazed by the mobs of animated corpses, if anything he seemed very quietly pleased to shoot all the things. He wasted no time on special moves or called out attacks, but rather simply attacking in continuous and ruthlessly efficient motion. The sound of his weapon firing filled the area with its sharp, steady rhythm.

It was a massive relief when it seemed that it was time to go somewhere and do something and couldn't go through the portal quick enough and then immediately regretted it for a few seconds. Only a few. He summoned up his weapon after taking a moment to watch their 'leader' take down a few and listen to his 'words of wisdom' before he just nodded and went in. He only took down a few of them but he felt it was satisfactory enough even if a few of them got to him as well.
This was way better than sitting around and being sad. Better than sitting around watching everyone quail about undressing or not.
The uniforms weren't that bad. He moved in his easy enough!

Dakota took the bandage from Simon before saluting him. "Alright boss." He plastered it on before entering the "Spirit way door whatever" and then being promptly dropped in the middle of a sea of undead bodies.
"SERIOUSLY." Was all Dakota could manage as he stuk close to the sun hunter leader before shaking his head. The sun brotherhood....just think of the sun brotherhood times ten...That's what this man was.
He was Jerry crazy with the strength of Jordan and Tedan rolled up in with the nerdiness of Bix. He was perfect for the sun hunters.
Yeah defending my sweet a** from getting eaten by a sea of undead!
"I guess we attack all the things..." He swung Chama out of her sheath as she raged with fire, catching the nearest group of undead near him. "Ah yeah. taking ya'll out with the power of FIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

Ariane went through a magical girl transformation into a shinigami and jumped into a portal after other shinigamis. All in all she thought that she might be dreaming, although she was pretty sure that the part about Caelius being alive was real life because he is a cat with 100000 lives.
And now she was going to kill s**t in Dragain's next post.

YOU MUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES ..MIGHT CONQUERS ALL..
The sun division leader's epic quotes ran through Saya's head, her eyes practically sparkling.
Prompto, on the other hand, was mildly horrified.
| No. No. |
He didn't say what he was rejecting with all of his heart but the menaing was obvious. However, either Saya proceeded to ignore it or take it in a different manner. There was wariness and then there was energy that sparked from the momentum of his speech---
-- and that momentum promptly shriveled up and died faster than a naked mole rat born naked. It wasn't as if his speech hadn't been made of great and insightful material, it was simply that his speech did not make up for the thousands of deathly masses that came flying towards them. Thousands.
Saya didn't have the reaction time, considering that this was one of her very first battles. Luckily, Prompto had her back, changing forms as soon as they stepped out of the portal, his lack of physical eyes catching onto the danger faster than the new trainee. Unfortunately, a weapon was only as good as it's wielder. The large curved dagger hit an incoming undead, slicing it neatly in half. Yet, the swarming undead in wait threw Saya against the ground.

Ariane might had been too busy trying to get her robe from sliding down her shoulder to really fight back the attacking undead. She also might had gotten so frustrated with the robe that she didn't care if someone sees what was under it as she draw her hand back from being clawed at by one of the undead.
If she could wear a 2-piece at the swimming pool, she could deal with someone seeing the color of her bra on the battlefield.
'Oh shut up.'

"If Julie and he joined forces I don't even know. Let's just... hope he doesn't make us try to eat anything." Marcus might claim he was sick. He would take experimental bandages over questionable foods. Unless it was chili hot chocolate. But he wasn't going to let anyone know that. "Looks fine Davey. I mean, aside from the fact it's pretty ridiculous on it's own but we're all kind of suffer from that so I'm not counting it."
Looking over at Leon he realized he'd yet to congratulate his friend on the promotion. "Leon, when you'd get the new coat? It looks-" He could only watch in semi horror as Dakota entered, and went about the way he did. Granted he got shot for it, but- Marcus almost felt sorry for him. Almost. That was until more weird words came out of no where.
Though finally, the mission was set to begin. Granted the sun division lead was... unique in his presentation, Marcus got the gist of it. Go in, kill things. Good plan. Until he reached the other side of the portal. "******** CHRIST." Dis was summon with a mental cry of glee. He manged to take a good chunk out of them, but they repaid the favor quickly enough.
