Riley reached out and tapped the head of one of the little hunter dolls, before punching it down and moving away. She wrapped her arms around Malodore's waist from behind, giving it free range to play the game when it was ready. She spared the two beside them a casual glance once Mal greeted them, but she gave them a second glance when she realized one of them was Merope, and her eyes crescented gently.
Hello, Merope. It's lovely to see you. And to meet you, Sibyl.. Is this your date? She looked down at the ghoul, amused by the sudden change in expression she seemed to exhibit. Thank you. If I could remove them to gift them to you, I assure you would. I hope you two are enjoying yourself.

Making another round back to the whack-a-hunter game, Titus decided to give it one more shot. He eyed the other students close by trying to size them up. It didn't seem there was a reaper among them. Titus could live with that though the selkie was a tad annoying to listen to.
A bit distracted he began to beat away at the hunters though he missed a few good turns by looking away. In the end his score was lower than the last.

"I make it a point to know a little bit about my fellow undead," Malodore told Merope with a smile; it leaned back against Riley contentedly. "There was that party, si? With the water. A pleasant affair, I thought."
At the mention of breaking, Malodore turned its head just enough to eye Sibyl warily. "She looks whole," it said, after a moment spent considering its professional opinion.
And then the ghoul gushed.
"I, ah, have never had scales, so I would not know which is better?" it said, tentatively, unsure how to respond to this sudden outpouring of feeling. It couldn't quite glance back helplessly at Riley, but it did its best. "Ah, are you... might I borrow the mallet for a moment?"

Another few free minutes, another good try with the mallet. It wasn't as good as let time, but Mort blamed that on being drained from his fight not much before the party had begun.
No dark-skinned scarred targets here. But he made due.

And then, as if his sluggish attempt at the whacking game told him he was obviously in shape to try more, Mort lumbered over to the Ghost-Man game. Aaah, good ol' game; he had a version of it one one of his systems. Too bad he was still rather tired, or else he might've paid more attention to the game mechanics and not died within ten seconds.

"Only on land," Merope replied, biting off the impulse to invite Sibyl to see exactly how fast he moved underwater. He recalled reading about them. Weren't they called innuendos? It felt... weird wanting to make one here and now. He barely even knew the girl, and here he was wanting to make comments...!
His embarrassment was forgotten when Sibyl made her comment about wings. He winced, back fins drooping. "These are fins, not wings. I can't fly..." He trailed off, grumbling to himself quietly for a moment.
Merope shook himself, looking at the couple before him. "Er, well, no," he stammered to Riley. "We just met, she isn't my date. Just a bit of friendly competition, nothing serious or anything. Really. It's just, ah. Here." He offered the mallet to Malodore when asked, bobbing his head quickly at him. "Here, take it. I think I... Erm. I'll see you guys later, I suppose?" He volunteered as he began to slink off, seeking to leave the situation and misunderstanding.

"Ah, grazie," Malodore said, taking the mallet gingerly and scooting just a bit towards the machine, until it was reasonably sure it could reach it. Carefully, it waited for the thing to start popping up targets-
... the sight of the white coats, so distinctive even in tiny form, sent a shot of adrenaline through the plague doctor. Its eyes narrowed, and it brought down the mallet in a series of sharp smacks, harder than they really needed to be as the adrenaline sliced nicely through the pink haze, dispelling it for a moment. It was almost a shock when they stopped appearing, and Malodore stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do now.
"Ah. Did I... are they gone?" It wouldn't let them touch her, no. Never again. Never again. The world was getting soft around the edges once more.

Riley watched, captivated, as Malodore took to the game like a fish to water. Her hands slid shamelessly around it, snuggling into it's back in an affectionate manner. She was going to hate herself for being so ridiculous, once she was thinking clearly again; it was similar to the way she felt when she'd overdosed on icky stix. Except.. there was no jittery excitement. Just an overwhelming urge to always be touching Malodore, cuddling it, kissing it.
Yes, darling. She murmured quietly as her face pressed against it's back. You obliterated them thoroughly.

The welcoming pink haze closed over Malodore's mind again, and it opened its beak in a smile as it put the hammer down. "Eccellente. Ah, I see... a candy machine?" It tilted its head to one side. "Un momento, amore mio. I will fetch you a heart."
Okay, so it was kind of hard to move with Riley stuck to its back like a leech (the cutest sweetest nicest leech ever, and really comparing things to leeches was complimentary in plague doctor culture, really), but it managed. A turn of the crank, and...
"Eat... what? No, no, this is not suitable." Vaguely irritated at the snarky comment on the candy, Malodore tossed it down and stepped on it, grinding the thing into a fine powder beneath one hoof. "Beneath your dignity entirely, mia cara..." Still, it couldn't help but think somewhere in there was a missive appropriate for its love. It might come back later and try again, until it had extracted the perfect sweet...

It was a game Shun spotted a few others playing earlier on. It seemed simple enough. Stepping up to it, he slowly picked up the mallet before deciding to give the game a whirl.
At the start of the game, he was really on top of things, smacking the hunters as they popped up without too much trouble. Though, as it went on, he found this to be not very entertaining at all. And thus, he began to slack off.
Well, it was interesting he supposed. Setting the mallet down, he went on his way.

Riley did not let Malodore go, despite how easier walking would have been if she had. She just took steps with it, and snickered into it's back in amusement of how silly they must have looked. When they stopped at the machine, she lifted her head and rested it on Malodore's shoulder, watching the plague doctor pluck out a heart. They had been specially ordered with terrible phrases, because Riley had come into the event assuming it would not be a romantic affair.
Boil, was she wrong.
Thank you for trying. She whispered, nuzzling the side of her cheek into it's beak. Shall I try to find a suitable one for you?
She reached down to crank the machine, and see what came out.
When the little pink heart fell into her hand, she held it up, and her face pinched in dismay. Her hand clutched around it, and a spray of pink powder fell from her hands.
Never. She hissed fervently. You must never leave me. Additionally, I shall have the makers of these candies flayed.

"I will not do so," Malodore said, gently, extending one claw and rubbing it lightly over the bloodmetal coiled around Riley's left wrist. "That is why I gave that to you, is it not?" It tilted its head to one side, amused. Oh the pink was so pretty. Much better than rainbows and sparkles and Christmas...
Something weirdly familiar caught its eyes, and it turned its head sharply to see... another mindflayer?! Oh, no, it wasn't Andeon, it was just a flat thing made of cardboard. Easy mistake to make, really. Jack above, this pink stuff was intoxicating... "Shall I try this as well, amore mio? I don't believe I will pin you, though. I already have your heart, and do not wish to give it back."
Suave.
Instead, it decided to select Junko. Just at random.
I want to pin JUNKO!

Oh Jack oh Jack this was the worst decision. The little gnome was evil, Malodore quickly decided as it was roughly blindfolded and then spun about. The plague doctor ended up staggering off-course and nearly pinned the heart onto an innocent bystander before being shoved back in the direction of the cutouts, where it placed the heart firmly in Christof's right thigh.
....
"You don't suppose he has a heart there, do you? Patchwork anatomy is often unorthodox," it offered, hopefully. Great. Now it was pink-hazed and dizzy.

Alex wandered over to another game after getting a candy, completely and utterly distracted from his initial task of hunting down Yin by all the shiny, flashy, and loud machines that he could be playing games on.
Whack a hunter? Sounded like fun! And since he had pretty good reflexes in his arms and hands he should do good, right?
Well...an 8 wasn't terrible, right?

The touch of the bracelet around her wrist made her heart leap into her throat - and even through the haze, she realized that was extraordinarily bizarre for her. She let out a slow, wistful sigh, and let Malodore lead her forward while she began to just.. stare at it. There was a dopey, lovestruck look on her face as she stared happily at the piece of jewelry that signified Malodore's proposal. It was an honor to wear such a thing.. but more than that. It was so romantic.
She would have been jealous of it choosing Junko, had it not explained in no uncertain terms why it had done so. She leaned forward, and a pleased little sound came from her mind just a moment before it was ripped away to play the game. Her hands felt empty without it, but the sight of Malodore being swiveled around was almost worth the ache. When it pinned the heart on Christof's right thigh, Riley let out a single, sharp snicker.
I have heard of some boils carrying their hearts in their pants, but I do not believe Christof is one of them. I'm sorry, darling. Maybe next time. Her eyes slit thin, as she pulled the plague doctor back into her arms and purred her next words thickly. I'll let you practice on me if you want.
