TiH Student Council "Hey there pretty mama. Why not.. ditch the ghost here and spend your next fifteen minutes with me?" a gnome asked out of the blue, giving Anna a wink. Anna stared at the gnome in sudden terror. What was happening. And why was he wearing a diaper? Shibey squirmed free and landed on the ground next to her. < I will take care of this. > She swallowed, then nodded and turned back to focus on Yuki. The Incubator sat down. And stared. OwOOwOOwO

To the ghoul's response, he looked to the mentioned familiar when she explained just why she seemed so unsure of doing this. He laughed, looking a little sheepish at that. "I did that to one of my friends, too... At least you're not as upset about it as he is." Whatever poor soul sat with that one... Yuki hadn't thought too hard on just how their night might potentially be ruined by the tabby's more frequent verbal jabs.
Well... It was only one round. Hopefully nothing 'worse' than JD and Emily would happen.
When Anna took a seat, Yuki swept around the table and sat across from her. Casually folding his arms on the tabletop, he looked rather comfortable with the entire thing. He nodded, smirking at her bit of a ramble, when she asked his year.
"Yeah, first. I've been here for a little while, but I'd still consider myself pretty new. To Halloween, actually, not just the school." Yuki sighed, as though weary from the thoughts of the time passed. "There's a lot to get used to... Or, re-learn? Hard to tell which."
Then there was suddenly a gnome right next to their table, clearly being... Rude, for lack of a kinder term. "Ah... Excuse me?" Yuki was as gentle with his words as possible. Apparently, he had not yet learned to hate gnomes. "If you wanted to meet up with someone, you should've signed up." Could he have signed up? Yuki didn't know, but it sounded like a logical defense.
Thankfully, Shibey took up the job of trying to frighten off the gnome. Or something. It looked like he was trying to make him uneasy, anyway. Since the interruption was hopefully finished, he turned his attention back to Anna.
"What about you? How long have you been attending the school?" Wishing to add to the conversation rather than throw her own questions back at her, he continued. "What sorts of classes are you enrolled in?"1Q | 1A

Anna was doing her very best to ignore the gnome, though she kept sneaking little sidelong glances at Shibey's back to see how the Incubator was doing. Thankfully, Yuki's questions were a good distraction. "Um, not too long - I'm a first year too, so... I got here a couple months ago? A little bit before Christmastival. And, um... acting..." She fought the urge to stare at her own hands. "Well, scaring, anyway. I'm not... not naturally good at it, so... and I want to learn more about magic, but I couldn't get on the sign-up list for the last class. So, um, I've just been practicing..."This wasn't so bad, right? He was a nice boil, right? "You're a... a ghost, aren't you? Are you any good at scaring?" He didn't look scary right now, but then again Ulmuka had looked kind of sort of (okay not really) normal... ish... until he smiled. Meanwhile, down on the floor, Shibey kept up that unblinking stare. OwO

Ah, Christmastival... He'd heard some of the talk. More or less thinking aloud, he winced just lightly. "Ah! I've been here a bit longer... I did get to visit, too, during the open house that went on several months back.Got to look around a bit. It was really crowded, though, and a bit disorienting."
He frowned thoughtfully as she continued. "I'm sorry that you couldn't get into the class... I can imagine that it would be very popular. I've thought about it, myself. You can do just about anything with magic, right? So many different types of the stuff, too." Come to think of it, it might be a rather difficult class unless they were allowed to focus on one branch or element. Or something like that. Hm. He'd have to read up more.
When the subject turned back to him, he nodded again. "Yep. Dead as a doornail and don't remember a damn thing. First thing I can recall is waking up, here in Halloween." He didn't sound put off by it, though. As far as that went, it would be hard to be upset about technically still existing in some sort of life, even if he couldn't remember his last one.
"I... Really haven't tried to scare anyone or anything, so I don't know how good at it I would be. I really don't think I'd want to do it, even, unless it's in defense." He laughed softly. "I guess that's not what it's about here. Scaring people is something I'll have to come to terms with."
By looking at the ghoul sitting before him, lacking some of the qualities that he himself and other ghosts he'd seen on campus displayed, he was pretty sure that she was something other than, herself. Namely, she looked perfectly non-transparent. Even when he thought he'd pulled it off, Astra had assured him that he was still fading around the edges.
"I've also still got a lot to learn about all the types of people and creatures... Were you born here, in Halloween?"

"Yeah, lots... I, um, am working on a new type? Curse magic? I don't understand it, though, so I was hoping a teacher might..." Under the table, Anna scuffed one shoe against the floor. "We'll see... oh, if you want to try scaring, you should do the Acting classes. I'm going to try again next time and do better," she added, lifting her chin a bit in determination. "It's just hard when you don't look scary to start with, you know?"She nodded at his next question. "Yeah, my family lives out in the country. W- they are hedge-witches, mostly, a couple warlocks. We all have familiars, too, so... is it weird being, um. Dead? Are you lonely?" She gave him a look of sudden distress. How terrible it would be to not have a family at all, even one who didn't like you!

Yuki wasn't so sure he liked the sound of anything with the word curse in it, let alone magic, but didn't voice that aloud.
"I'm sure one of the teachers will help you. You can probably practice with some of the other students, too? Safely, of course." He hoped that offering advice would reassure her. Yuki already had the distinct impression that this ghoul wasn't terribly gifted on the self-confidence scale.
"Don't worry about not looking frightening. I'm sure it's not all that. If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure if you flashed a boil a smile you could stop his heart."
Did he really just... Well, at least it was a compliment?
And he continued right on; "I don't know what I lost, so it's kinda hard to miss it. Are you suggesting that only the dead like me can be lonely?"

King was not sure if stars had rocks, so Yin's guess was as good as his own. The acceptance of the offer to spar... "Shall we make a day for it then? Sparring I mean. It is always good for one's mind and body. I am.. sorry to hear of you clan though." Ears went back. He'd been mocked but he'd taken it in stride, but he'd seen pups worse than he, and he never faulted them for it. Often they wanted something the clan could not offer. But to run away sounded... Like it was not the case for Yin.
"My family is close to me which is both blessing and curse. My elder siblings have gone to other clans, sisters, all. My youngers.. also sisters. A brother or two is sprinkled in but my parents are.... prolific." To say the least. " My uncle leads us, and he has his own children, but, heirs are chosen by merit and skill, not to mention the council. But, I am not acting heir, only the heir chosen. It will be a long time till I lead my people." He smiled at the thought. "What of you Yǐn Cáng? What shall you seek to do in the distant future?"

"Any day is fine with me, though if you wish to set a date simply let me know in advance, I am not often busy with plans." His family seemed nice enough, and it was interesting how the heirs were chosen. And that they could be male. For the Clan, the leader was Jing. The High Priestess. Though now that he thought about it...how old would their founder have to be to still be alive? Was...was it even the same Jing, or was the High Priestess an impostor, or an heir that quickly took over so that no one would ever know that the original had died?
He had to fight to keep his attention on the conversation at hand, though the use of his full name helped. "Seek to do?" his brow furrowed as he tried to think, voicing some of this thoughts aloud. "I came here to learn more about Fear, and about Halloween's customs. They have been...difficult to adopt. My life before this was...different to say the least. I suppose my main goals now are to become stronger and to learn to survive on my own.
"I know that for you, you will eventually become your tribe's leader. But if you did not have that responsibility what would you do?" He glanced down at the table and grabbed another sausage on a stick. "I do not mean to pry but I am curious if you are putting aside your own desires to take on such a role. I have never met an heir before."

So there it was, after the day's events died down King would make it a point on interest to track Yin down and get a good match in. His fangs were already itching, ready to be put to use. Ignoring the feeling for now, he focused instead on their conversation at hand. "Then we're a bit on the same boat I suppose. Tis a good thing we have found each other, so we might learn from each other's experiences no? Though our goals are different we share a common thread of seeking knowledge, a thing all great scare masters ought to seek." Tail flicked, coming to rest in his lap. "And though I doubt my calling will change, if I were not my tribe's leader, I would be a hunter, seeking out prey in the vast north and terrorizing as we are meant to do."
He paused, a nag in the back of his head. "And... my desires are irrelevant. They run in tandem for my position and even if not-" For a second he looked confused, then resumed his normal calm composure. "My desires may come to fruition in other ways. I have my whole existence ahead of me, and I do not worry so much of events yet to come. Ah, that reminds me, I have heard of these clubs but, no one has told me much about them. Would you mind telling me of any clubs that would be good to seek out?"

The weremantis had the decency to look slightly embarrassed. "Though I have been at this school for some time I have not joined any clubs. Mademoiselle Temes informed me earlier about some of the clubs that she is in, and it seems that there may be a club for most activities or interests. It has come to my attention that I should probably join a club or two." He contemplated that for a moment. "We seem to share a few interests, so if you learn of a club for hunting or fighting I may be interesting in joining it with you? I would be willing to inform you of any I learn of as well."
Speaking of Frost in the Storm being new, "I know that you are new, but have you had a chance to learn your way around the school yet? If you have any questions I will be glad to help if I can."

Uh, Gilly just looked at Needle and was stunned, was she talking to her? Gilly quickly stood up and bowed. For some reason she felt like she was in the presence of someone much more graceful than herself, and that somehow warranted a bow. In her haste she hit her head straight into the table. It made a squishing sound. Gilly wasn't sure what to do, and her face reddened in embarrassment. With her face still planted into the tables surface she said "Hi, my mame is Gilly.... um... Sorry." She waved with her right hand at Needle. There were a few moments of silence before there was an announcement that the time was up. Nothing Yet Hope its okay to just start this oh gosh > A>; Danny sat at TABLE ONE patiently, now aware of how this whole thing worked. You were supposed to ask people questions and then stamp a card ... Ooh dang she had forgotten to stamp her card with Shun! Well she would just have to remember this time ...
She probably wouldn't.
"Wonder who Shine is..." she said quietly to herself. Shine sounded like a sunny name ... so ... well maybe she was warm! Yeah that was it. She was meeting with the sun.

Table 3 was where Shun headed after the next names were put up. He had managed to avoid the question of if he'd ever play the guitar, though even then the answer was still no. Letting out a breath, he sat himself down while waiting for his partner for the next fifteen minutes to show up.
