Peregrine.Elliott.Gray.Wellington.IV If you look like a pirate, then speak like a gentleman... Gray jumped when he felt someone suddenly touching his shoulders, only barely managing to hold in a yelp. Slightly spooked, Adiemus shied toward the back of the stall, away from Gray and Rose. He whirled on the culprit, snatching their hands. "Don't do that.....Rose." Ah. No wonder. "Rose. What are you doing out at the stables? And why are you sneaking up on me like that? You very nearly gave me a heart attack."
"And I am far too young and handsome to die in such a depressingly old man sort of way. ...and no one will notice you have a heart like a pirate too.

"I was uh... coming to visit you. And I saw you here and heard that you needed a massage," Sounded innocent enough, and it was mostly true. Breaking in, visiting, same thing. He even gave him an innocent smile to keep him from suspecting him, not wanting to make his breaking in look like a weekly thing.
"And I definitely agree. I would hate to see you die in any way, but a heart attack would be terrible. Especially if I caused it," He told him, wondering what he would do if he scared him that bad. Well, it was bound to happen with how much he was stalking him around, so he may as well think of what he would do. Call an ambulance? Nah, too easy. Let him die and keep the bod-- No, no, that was a bit much, even for him. His own thoughts disgusted him, and that clearly showed on his face. "I'm sure you're a lot more handsome now than you would be when you're dead," He mostly told him that just to keep that disturbing thought out of his head. ❤═━.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.━═❤

"Well, I'd hope I'm better looking when I'm alive," Gray said, pulling Rose out of Adiemus' stall. "I would be in a sad state if I was less attractive than a decomposing corpse. He brushed himself off, before pulling his hair down and rubbing the back of his head. "Incidentally, the purpose of a massage is to help one relax. Startling someone does quite the opposite so it's a bit counter productive."
He smirked and started out of the stable. "So did you have a reason for coming to visit or just thought you'd stop by?" He paused and looked around. "Oi. Want to go for a walk with me? I've been wanting to have a look at the riding trails and all and since you're here, you can come with me?" ...and no one will notice you have a heart like a pirate too.

"Sorry about that. I didn't think it would scare you..." He told him with a frown. He was given plenty of tips about massages, but whether or not he should give people surprise massages never popped up.
"I just wanted to stop by," He said with a sigh, though he did have a few more specific questions. He wasn't sure if he wanted to ask him directly or not, so he decided not to mention it for now. If he needed to, he would bring it up later.
"Of course," Rose immediately accepted the offer to walk with him. He would walk to hell and back with him, but of course, that was a bit too corny to say out loud. ❤═━.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸..¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.━═❤

"This way," Gray said, taking Rose by the elbow so, he could lead him down toward the trails. He snagged his coat and scarf as they left the stable. "Anyway, were you just stopping by to say hello or for something in particular?"
He pulled his coat on, but paused to wrap the scarf around Rose's neck. "It's cold out," he told him, pulling his own collar up. "Not that it isn't obvious by the fact that, well, it's cold out. But take that." He started down the first trail opening he saw, side stepping the under brush as he followed the little path through the trees. "By the way, I'll be moving the wagon back up by the dorm soon I think, so if you happen by tomorrow and don't see it, that's why."
He had no idea why he was even bothering to tell Rose all this. Well, other than not wanting to deal with a panicked stalker, instead of just a normal one.

His original plan was to break in, his back up was to ask him a few things, but now he wasn't sure. He just figured he'd follow him and see what happens.
He was a bit surprised when Mr. Gray wrapped the scarf around his neck, giving him a bewildered look. He wasn't shivering or anything, though he was wearing a short sleeved shirt. The cold never really bothered him (unless he was laying in the snow or was out during a snow storm but... that was completely different), but he couldn't refuse the kind gesture. He was tempted to steal it though.
He was grateful for that warning about the wagon, sure he would have panicked if it was suddenly gone. Of course, he would probably search the entire school head to toe to make sure he didn't move it, but knowing his tendency to jump to conclusions, he would have assumed he decided to leave or something. And he probably would have done something stupid.
As he was following him to the trails, he leaned his head on the side of Mr. Gray's arm, feigning his shivering to make it seem like he was just keeping close for warmth.

Nash grumbled as he headed into the stables. He was really hoping that the stable hand had delivered his horse by now. The boy walked along the rows of stalls until he stopped in front of one with a grey horse in it. The animal whinnied a greeting and slung it's head over the door of the stall, nuzzling the boy's hand softly. "Hey Moondance, how are you boy?" He asked as he scratched it's ears with his free hand.

Syn peered into the stables, curiosity gleaming in her blue green eyes. It wasn't often she was to see horses. Living with Dragons and Elementals who had no use for them had ensured that.
Taking a step further in, she rubbed the back of her neck nervously. Ahead of her she could see a boy petting a grey horse. It fascinated her to watch someone pet the intimidating beasts.
Caught up in her fascination, she didn't realize how close she got to a stall until a mare snorted at her, neighing in distaste at the scent of Dragon which drew a squeak of surprise form Syn.

Nash flinched upon hearing a squeal. He instantly thought that it was Fin trying to pull a prank on him or something so he whirled around and pointed his finger in Syn's direction, marching towards her furiously, "Why you lil' punk, imma throw you in a-!" The elf began, then instantly stopped in his tracks, a bright red blush coming to his face. "Ah! Im so sorry!" He yelped as he covered his face, obviously highly embarrassed. He then lowered his hands, a sheepish smile on his face, "Really, im so sorry! I thought you were someone else trying something on me!"

Syn whimpered and backed away, only to trip over her own feet. "I-I...I'm sorry." she stammered, "I was only curious." Eyes wide, she stared up at the blushing elf and stared, willing the scales that rippled out from the corner of her eyes to recede into her skin again. She hated when fear made her start to shift. Slowly getting to her feet, Syn glanced from Nash to the horse he had been petting. A slow blush crept up through her face as she tried to control her nerved. Just a fellow student. It's ok. It's ok. Breath. she thought to herself. She pointed at the grey, "Your's?"

"He sure is!" Nash replied proudly. "Thats Moondance, hes a purebred thoroughbred! My family breeds racehorses." Nash then tilted his head as he looked at the girl, a smile on his face. "Im guessing your new here. Am I right?" He asked. "My name is Nash Anderson. And you are?" Thats when Nash realized he was rambling, "Ah! Sorry if im just going on and on....." he blushed again. The young elf could ramble on and on all day if there was someone willing to stick around and listen.

"You....breed them. Are they...safe?" she questioned, staring at the beautiful creature. From the safe distance she was at. Her curiosity was over riding her fear and for once she was thankful for it. She offered a small smile back, thankful for the first normal conversation she had had in a while. "You're correct. I just arrived today. I'm Synthallyn Theax but Syn is enough." her face darkened at the thought but it was fleeting, replaced by a small giggle. "No, it's quite alright. I'd rather listen."

Nash let out a sigh of relief before stepping over to his horse's stall, petting the animal's soft nose. "Moondance is extremely safe. Hes one of the most gentle horses that I have ever been around... but... some horses are dangerous. They are just like people, ya' know? It all depends on how they are treated and trained.... like... a person! If you beat them, they will either get scared or violent... but... if your kind and gentle with them they will be as sweet as a kitten!" Nash explained. "You can come over and pet him, he won't bite. I promise!" He said as he gave her a reassuring smile.

Syn narrowed her eyes, more at the horse than at Nash. She had been near a horse once and it had cost her a hoof to the forearm. Not something she wanted to relive again. "Horses don't tend to respond well to Dragons or Elementals." she whispered, noticing the huffs and soft whinnies of discontent from the other stalls. Taking a chance, she cautiously took a few more steps until she was less than an arms length away. "Moondance?" She lifted a shaking hand, hoping that Nash was being honest about his horse. As her hand touched Moondance's velvet soft nose, a grin of pure joy brightened her face, the scales at the corner of her eyes rippling out again and flashing a joyous blue green that matched her eyes. "Oh," she sighed reverently at the beautiful creature's satisfaction with her touch.
