Candace had gone back for her bear. She didn't know why she refused to be without it but she did, she needed to have it with her. Candace was hurrying to where she heard the commotion, hating her short legs. ********! She didn't have her nice long legs until she hit puberty! This sucked! But you're such an adorable little scareling. Atropos cackled. Candace's eyes narrowed as she stopped near the rest of the group. That thing looked stupid, but she quickly noticed something.
...Everyone's weapons were still normal sized.
It was with a horrified stare that Candace looked down at the rings she was wearing on her thumbs, not wanting to summon her. Oh, please. I'm sure you'll be fine. Candace frowned. O..okay...
The rings glowed, and when Atropos was summoned Candace let out a cry of despair. What was usually a pair of ankle-high boots on her that fit perfectly was now a pair of almost thigh-high boots that she couldn't move in.

Reine had spent far too much time running back to her room and attempting to retrieve her weapon, and after that, trying to pick the summoned swordbreaker up. Slowly, she dragged it out her room and then back down the hallway, leaving scratch marks along the floor.
At least it wasn't scratch marks on a car...

While sadly, the trainees were doing more damage to themselves than anyone else, the magnificent hero Gale managed to do the brunt of the work.
It was too bad the shadow creature thought so too, as it suddenly loomed over the Death trainee-
- and swallowed them whole.
With Gale still inside its "stomach", it began to move again, gurgling as it burst out the doors and down the courtyard, obviously trying to make an escape for the Lighthouse portal OOC: SAVE GALE BOSS FIGHT: 15/50 HP- To attack, all Hunters can only roll 2d4 instead of the 2d8/10 (except Gale). You can only have one attack per gm round. - The damage you don't do ie: your "missed" damage, is the damage you do to yourself instead. Yeah... who told you to carry such large weapons.... jeez. (Ie: if I roll 2, 2 = 4, 4- 6 = -2. I do 2 damage to myself) - You CANNOT use charged attacks (except Gale) - All kids have 20 HP (except Gale) - Everyone can attack (except Gale)

It was a good question of what Deryk was doing in the past round or so. Most likely he was still screaming and running around the shadow beast thing with his arms flailing. Potentially yammering off. Who knows? It was all off screen. But now he's back!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YOU ATE GALE WHY YOU EAT GALE! YOU MEANIE! GIVE HIM BACK! AAAAAAAAAAH!"
With his hidden blade which was like a spike on an arm cast for him, he flailed at the thingy.
But soon his attention was grabbed by strange noises. He turned to see Jerry. With kazoos! The kazoos he gave him for Christmas!

Aleister's eyes grew wide as he watched the thing eat GALE and sharp cry came from his mouth. "I-i-it ATE HIM!!!" And back to tears when the small blonde death hunter. He hated shadows. HATED.
<Are you going to let it get away with that? Come on jack damn it all. You're a ******** HUNTER start acting like one cry baby.>
Aleister's crying stopped when Puca yelled at him like.... oh right... this wasn't.... He paused looking at the ball and chain before pondering the best way to do this. Well.. maybe just throwing Puca as hard as he could, not worrying about keeping a hold of the weapon? Aleister chucked Puca as hard as he could towards the monster and watched the spiky ball fly and smack the monster. Aleister stared eyes wide as the other end of the ball followed up. HAH he hit it!!!

... okay, so more important things were happening than Jordan's current Important Personal Issue with Harrison. Namely, the shadow had eaten Gale. He shoved the kazoo Jerry had handed him into his pocket, his irritated scowl turning determined. "Come on guys, we have to save him!"
However, when he tried to take off after the monster, he tripped again.
Worst day ever.

The procession of trainees chasing after one slightly deformed shadow monster had finally caught up to where the "Death Hunter lead" was having a slight scuffle with another "Life Hunter lead". A pause as they stopped for a second to stare at what was going on.
And then proceeded on as normal, all swearing and hair-pulling.

Brain was shutting off as Marcus tried to reason out what he was seeing. The hell did it just do. Gale- you- eaten- Oh god it was dine and dash, British edition. Marcus said he would protect Cass and he'd do that but kid king friend didn't leave a friend in peril! It was time to get real. Serious business.
Stumbling over, Marcus managed to pick up Dis, who was saying 'Oh NOW you can lift me up. I miss your strong muscular hands Marcus, I miss your- Ugh. I can't do this while you look like a child. Not even I can go there.'
Hoisting the blade up, he threw it as best he could, just hardly getting it but- "I DIDN'T HIT GALE DID I?"

Candace? What are yu-- Candace lifted one leg out of Atropos' boots and put her teddy down at her feet. She then lifted Atropos in both arms. ...Candace. What. Are. You. Doing. Candace turned at her hips... No...no..nononononoNONONONOOHJACKNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Atropos sailed through the air, having been thrown like a heavy disc, and managed to just barely nick the creature.

Cass tried to turn into brave-Cass again, picking up the chain of Nicodemus to go on her own quest to save Gale when she got her foot caught in the chain of the weapon that refused to summon again and tripped, landing flat on her face.
More crying followed.

"Take care, don't get too close. I ain't jumpin' in there t'save ya." A very familiar little face was dragging a sword too big for her out from the building, and Robert's face brightened. DID THAT MONSTER JUST...
"Oh noooooo! Gale!" HOW DARE IT DEVOUR THEIR BABYSITTER FRIEND!? Patting the dust off her clothing, the little girl hefted Chara up again, staggering side to side as she tried to get used to the weight. With a grimace, she held the pointed side out in front of her--like a spear--and charged forward.
Somehow, she actually managed to hit the thing. "GIVE HIM BACK."

Jerry looked a bit crestfallen when this gifting did not immediately result in a kazoo-choir... but it would seem their victorious musical interlude would have to wait- The creature was making off with their babysitter Gale!! Against his (and Roar's) better judgment, the weapon was suddenly resummoned, but at least he was smart enough to take a step back before the weapon formed and clattered to the ground. HAH! Success! He gave a victorious PTOOOBBB PTOOOOB!! Before grabbing Roar by the quills, dragging him forward and around a few steps until the aim was just right, "PBOOOOB!" The kazoo was taken out of his mouth for a hurried, shy warning of, "Wa-wa-wa-watch your f-feet!" And pulled the trigger.
The bazooka launched, firing forward, as was the plan, to hit the creature. Unfortunately, un-anchored by robust, manly shoulders and hands, the usual horrible sonic blast went unbridled, sending the cannon shooting backward with Jerry on top, giving a wild yelp as the bag of kazoos was scattered everywhere.
But he helped! Yaaaay!
