A skipping girl walking not a Lillipup, but instead a Durant would be what she came across. The creature snapping at her feet if she dared to get too near, as the other residences of this area went about their day. Here was the grocery stores, the food places, and other things like movies and such. For here people lived out their normal lives as some stop and looked at Ada as she passed.
One little girl pointed, and her mother promptly picked her up and kept walking ....as the girl would pass the school there.
"So, what do we have here?" "A outlander visiting us, how strange."
A voice would seem to purr from one of the doorways. A man with long gold hair and a look that sent any other males in his area running smiles at Ada.
"Though this bunch are as cold as steel ...I am warm." "Welcome."
He would tell her for the entrances of his place. A place that feature on the top of it ...a outline of a woman as he waves at her.

((I shall now resist the overpowering urge to forfeit right now...))Raven would have to struggle to stop himself from scowling then, from giving in to that tiny bit of weakness rooted deep within his soul. The Pokemon that stood before him would be next to impossible to defeat, and he knew it. Resistant against all but a single Pokemon he carried, and very likely carrying a move especially effective against that same Pokemon.
This would be an uphill battle...but perhaps that was for the best. Gym victories weren't meant to be easy, and he hadn't come here expecting such.
Ultimately, there were only two ways he stood a chance against this creature, and one was more favourable then the other. Both however would require a great deal of luck on his part.
Grabbing the second ball which clung to his belt, the boy would toss it into the air and release the behemoth he'd chosen to store deep within. Even a place built as sturdily as this would shudder beneath the shear weight of the Steelix as he struck the floor, rising high above adversary and ally both. It was a good thing Gym's had high ceilings...
"Drop it" Raven would suddenly command, holding out his hand far beneath the Steelix. Responding without hesitation, the metal clad serpent would open his mouth, pushing something from within it onto his tongue, and then dropping it into the boy's hand. The Rare Bone...slightly covered in saliva.
Gripping it firmly, the boy would shake the giants natural fluids off, then secret it away somewhere upon his own person. He didn't want that particular item getting damaged in the fighting.
This left Genn the opportunity to better observe the one whom he'd been fighting...and visibly baulk. Turning his shovel shaped head back to his trainer, the Steelix would tilt his head ">Seriously?<" He asked, moaning as he turned back to face the battlefield ">...this is the Skarmory all over again...<"
Pokemon: Steelix [M]
Name & Level: Genn, Lv 5
[Temperament] Hasty
Bio: Raven met with this Onix while making his way through Clockwork Cavern. An Area Guardian, his charge was evidently a Magnemite the boy had recently passed. Believing Raven a threat, the Onix attacked immediately. Raven seeing qualities he liked in the Pokemon, and after suffering some minor damage while battling against Fable, the Onix was quickly captured. An act he made no move to fight against. Quick to make his decisions, Genn rarely listens to Raven in battle, having chosen his next action before the child even has a moment to speak.
Stats:
HP: 24/24, PP: 22, ATK: 15, DEF: 23, SPD: 9, SP-ATK: 12, SP-DEF: 13

"Aw, so you battle with pokemon of the steel type as well." "Good, that makes things much more interesting."
The man would declares as he motion for his Shieldon to attack. Afterall, their speed was the same as the female would look at him and roll her eyes.
((You aren't a picnic either buddy))
She would obviously not happy about having to fight a steel type either. That meant that things would be harder as she rose up on her back legs and slams her feet into the ground.
The move was obvious as the earth seem to response to her force as it sent a line of brown colored power through it. Forming a circle around the Onix ...as wide as the pokemon's body as it threaten to rush upwards as she used Earth's power.

Wow. These people really didn't get many visits, huh? She could feel their eyes on her, they stopped, looked, and then carried on. And you know what? She didn't mind it. A smirk would make its way on her face now as she began to take notice of all this. A performer could not fear their audience, on or off stage. Though she had preferred not to draw attention, it couldn't be helped, so now she just had to embrace it.
At the voice of a man she stopped and looked to the side. Well, he seemed kind enough, not all kind folk were good folk though. And this place he was in seemed shady as well, what was that si-
Oh. Oh no. Oh god no. This...yeah, she didn't like this. Impromptu upon her shoulders took notice as well, and he flicked his tail, his striking gold eyes looking right into the mans own. Back when he was younger, the man that had saved him had told him to protect this girl. He would not go back on that promise now, and he stared at the man fiercely.
Though all this ran through her mind, Ada didn't budge. She didn't shudder, she didn't swallow, she gave off no hints of nervousness or fear. Something she had trained herself to do for large audiences, and now she found herself using it on a single person. Her green gaze simply shifted from the womans form back to the man, as a kind smile ran across her face. Now, she had no intention of entering this questionable place, but he was the only one that bothered talking to her.
"Ah, thanks. I'm just passing through, is all" Arceus help her if he tried anything funny "would you know, maybe, where I could find a man named Excel?" she'd beat him silly with the Rare bone she held! "I have a, uh, favor to ask of him" Or just call out Erion. That Aerodactyl was intimidating enough to send someone running without even lifting a finger...er, claw.

((The most awesome Trubbish EVER! Seriously though this battle is likely to take an eternity. Remember Genn Vs Crowe? ))"I've my shield and wall, my sword and dagger..." Raven would state almost rhythmically "...one must be prepared if they seek strength."
">Yes but I've done this song and dance before<" The Steelix would remark back, slamming his tail against the ground in annoyance. He wanted a fight to get his blood pumping, not three days of who could make the bigger dent! Bah, this fight was boring already.
She wasn't even good for banter!
Roaring his displeasure, the Steelix would suddenly lunge into the air, turning sharply to bring his massive bulk plunging down into his opponent. Misted breaths would wisp from his mouth as his teeth iced over, becoming sharp and pointed. He'd do whatever it took to turn this Shieldon from a lump of steel to a hunk of ice!
At least then she might be a tad refreshing!

He would declares sharply. A pout was already starting to form on the man's face that was anything but pretty when done by him as he looks Ada in the eyes. He could tell she was an entertainer and as one to another, he could find much better use for her talents than that old man any day of week.
"Are you sure it's him you want to meet?" "I can help you meet much more interesting man then him?"
"You seem like a performer like me." "So, why not perform a bit for my customers ...I will pay you well, and forget about Excell and his gym."

The man would counter back as he watches the two fly at each other. The earth exploding upwards after the Steelix had passed it by with it's mouth open wide as it used Ice Fang. A strange attack to seem coming from a pokemon such as that, but, then again ...it did make sense .....as the Sheildon was caught. She felt those fangs sunk into flesh, but it wasn't going to go too far considering the type of skin she had.
She didn't even feel the pain as she slammed her body into the ground once more. As she tries to force the earth to rise at her beck and call, and the power of it to slam into the creature that had latch upon her back.
(9 - 5 + 15 - 25 = -6/no dmg)

((That's not looking too likely.))Raven in response would shake his head "You cannot have one without the other" He stated firmly "If you desire strength in yourself, you must first come to understand strength itself. See it in others, experience it first hand. Only then can you chart your own path." If Excell was about to start talking strength, he was going to find that Raven was more then capable of speaking on the topic at length. One of very few things he cared to.
Genn smacked his tail against the ground once more. And so it begins... He thought, glancing at the Shieldon and witnessing no damage. It was the battle with the Skarmory all over again, both seeking to do the other harm, and failing quite miserably at it.
Twisting his tail, the Steelix would then plunge it into the ground like a spear. The intent was simple, to anchor himself down and take the attack.

Gymleader. Right, figured. Should have gone there first, geez. A blush formed on her face now, however, at the mention of the swords. She could hear the hidden undertone in that one. "> She's 13 you sick ******** <" Impromptu on her shoulders growled, baring fangs now.
The dog leaned over onto her hat, taking the luxury ball that was on it in his mouth. Specter. He'd seen her, and by no means would that Zangoose stand for this. One flick of his paw was all it could take to call her out, and that wouldn't be pretty. Ada began to back up now, "Again, sir, I'm only passing through. Not interested in a job at the moment...I'm a drifter, you see. Though I'll thank you kindly for telling me where Excel is at"
With that she kept walking, though this time to exit this place with all these houses and people. Her walk turned into a stride, and she soon found herself in a fast paced brisk walk down the streets. Quickly as she could she made her way out to the gym, entering and stopping inside to catch her breath.
..."Hello? Anyone home?" she said aloud, maybe she could just find him and get this over with.

It would work as the earth would explore upward without any kind of damage to him whatsoever, but she didn't seem so incline to let it stay that way. She would simply lower her head ....as she aims once more her feet stomping the ground as she counter attacked with earth power.
NO this was quite the persistent pokemon as her eyes glowed with her own fury and rage.
The Sheildon wasn't one to back down, and it would seem neither was his trainer.
"Though is simply recognizing it enough, is simply being able to desire it enough to give it to you?" "No, you categorizes it too light, for strength must be temper and tested." "Strengthen and refine, for it's not always the strongest that win, but those whom recognize how to use what strength one has to their best of abilities."
"Looking for that clink in the armour, oh, that is what I do best."
"But, refining it until that weakness become strength ...well ....there are many that can do it." "But, few that can master it."
It would leave one to think ....were they even still on the same topic as that seemed to be more than enough to start Excell.

He understood what the man was saying quite well, but this was only the beginning of his journey. "If one hopes to temper something, they must gather the proper materials first" He spoke again, deciding to use terms similar to the Gym Leader's own this time.
Pulling his tail free of the ground, Genn would once more give an ear splitting bellow. Breathing an icy mist, the Steelix would once more lunge at his opponent with Ice Fang!

Though if only she would have pay more attention to her surroundings then. Her decline wasn't lost upon the people there as a smile would come upon some of their lips. Other whom would have avoided her actively looked at her. She had gained acceptances here with those words as a boy would point, and his mother this time would simply pat his head.
"We can ask for her a show at some other time." "Seems she is quite busy."
The woman would declares. Ada had gain friends whether she recognized it or not, because there were quite a few that didn't like his business.
Though she moves swiftly back to the gym.
Here she would find her call answered by a girl.
"yeah, we are here."
Tirrani would declares to her ....as the girl came out with a smile on her face. Hair silvery grey and skin dark as she smiles lightly at her.

Though maybe this battle would last as long as one might have thought as the Shieldon hit once against his opponent. The move sending the Steelix flying this time ....as she snorted happily. She was glad she had hit once, but she wasn't done quite yet. She would streak forward again with a hop that would send the earth upwards once more.
If at first you fail, try and try and try again.
She was going to literally use her attacks to knock him out ....heavily ....with each bound of her feet and even movement of her body.
"Humph, how can you say such a thing?" "Without looking forward first, there can be no beginning. For how can you make a single step if you don't imagine yourself making those steps first?"
"To gather the right materials once must know what they want." "So, order for that to happen, one must release their imagination before their strength"
The man would response as this discussion would get harder and harder to follow for outsiders.

The girl would declares as she takes her through the maze of iron and steel without any problems. As they came closer and closer to the center the sound of battle would become much clear, and a discussion of the sort that left many quite confused ...as Ada would get her second sighting of Raven.
