Zooey popped her roasted marshmallow into her mouth and walked over to Brett's iPod. She settled on "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and smiled as she walked back over to the fire. She stole a few glances toward Todd before working on roasting another marshmallow. I should try talking to him soon... Zooey thought, biting her bottom lip nervously.

Courtney Berkly Courtney watched carefully as Brett looked at his hand and spoke. She was pretty surprised that he had hit Scott but in her mind he deserved a lot more than just a punch to the face. "Well, for one, he sort of deserved it. I even, for a split second thought about doing it myself. And two, you were just being a caring brother," Courtney assured him with a light smile. She the noticed Rachel and Jame come back inside and before she knew it she saw them kiss. She had almost forgot that she had to lure Brett at some point under the mistletoe to kiss him, she blushed gently at the thought.

Rachel was turning back to face James when he put his arm around her and kissed her. Her eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly relaxed, realizing just how right the kiss felt. She closed her eyes and put her arms around James's neck as she kissed him back, absolutely lost in the moment.
Brett looked over at Courtney as she started speaking and smirked. "Yeah... he did deserve it... but I think it would've been much more satisfying to see you hit him." He grinned at Courtney before finally getting his cookie. "I know that... but am I an over-protective brother?" As he said that, he finally spotted his sister and James kissing by the doorway. Clearing his throat, Brett turned his back to the couple and walked over to Courtney.

James Wilson James pulled away after a while and smiled,"Wow..."He grinned and walked over to the couch with her. James was speechless and he was grinning uncontrollably.

Courtney Berkly Courtney giggled at him as he cleared his throat once he noticed his sister and James kiss. She watched him walk over to her and she smiled at him before answering. "Protective, absolutely. Over protective, eh, not so much. I mean, over-protective would have been you going over there and confronting James about kissing Rachel... Over-protective would have been you doing a lot more than just leaving a small bruise on Scott's face... You're protective, but it's rational. If I had a sibling, I'd act the same way, especially if it were a sister," Courtney laughed lightly as she watched James and Rachel enter the living room, she wanted to make a remark about them finally kissing but she bit her tongue and just kept her thoughts to herself.

Rachel blushed at the look on James's face after he pulled away. She smiled and took his hand as he led her over to the couch. She sat down next to him and continued holding his hand as she looked around the room. "So uhh... What does everyone want to do now?"
Brett smiled at Courtney's response. "I guess you're right... But maybe I should go talk to James..." He starting moving toward the couch then stopped, glancing over at Courtney. "I'm kidding," he said. "I trust James. I'm sure he'll take good care of Rachel."

Courtney Berkly Courtney was about to reach for him, to stop him from talking to James but before she could, she noticed that Brett was only joking. She relaxed back into her seat and laughed lightly. "I'm sure he will... Or he'll have to talk to a protective brother," Courtney laughed before getting up and heading over to the snack table, she grabbed a cookie and started to eat it. "Well Rach, what else did you have planned for this romantic evening?" Courtney's voice was teasing, she couldn't hold back just one remark.

Zooey finished roasting her marshmallow and set the skewer down next to Brett's. She then blew on it to cool it off as she sat down on the floor next to the coffee table. She looked up at James and Rachel with a mischievous smile. "Yeah, I'd love to hear what you've got in store for us."

Rachel blushed slightly as everyone turned their attention to her. "Well... I don't know... All I had 'planned' was snacks and games... I mean, I wanted to make spaghetti for dinner, but the power hasn't come back on yet..."
Brett finally took a seat and looked around as everyone teased Rachel. He chuckled and shook his head. Poor Rachel...

Courtney Berkly Courtney giggled at little at Rachel's reaction to all the teasing, she did for a split second feel a tiny bit of guilt but she was sure Rachel was just fine being teased a little. Courtney finished up her cookie and looked around the room, she caught a glimpse of Brett sitting down and remembered the kiss that was supposed to happen. It was then that she walked over to Rachel and grabbed her by the arm, lightly tugging. "In that case, I'm sure no one will mind me stealing Rachel for a couple of minutes," Courtney spoke with a bright smile as she looked at Rachel. She was going to have to lure Brett under the mistletoe somehow and she had no clue of how to do that and Rachel knew him best out of everyone else.

Rachel blushed when James kissed her on the cheek again. This is going to take some getting used to, she thought, turning to smile at him. "Yes please," she said in response to his suggestion. "Feel free to turn down Brett's iPod." Courtney then came up beside Rachel and started pulling her away. "Of course they won't." She stood up to follow Courtney, but not before kissing James on the cheek. "I'll be back."
Brett watched the girls leave and chuckled. "Girls," he said softly. He looked at James, wondering if he should talk to him about Rachel. After all, he did not want a repeat of what happened with Scott. "You're not planning on going back to London any time soon, are you?" he asked jokingly, hoping James knew where he was coming from.
