Lizzy was very, very frustrated, and in both mental and physical pain. To add to that, Shehk was still in the arms of the mysterious figure and Mac was probably still with the pretty non-demon ghoul... Ugh ugh ugh.
So when the trap was sprung - as Riley had earlier warned them - Lizzy punched the nearest cloaked figure... With so much rage it would make West proud.

At first, Mort was entirely confused. Why was there a large mass of red cloaks in the for - WAITAMINUTE.
And then he saw Herryk's eyePhone begin to fizzle with static sounds. For sure the recording was dead now, as possibly he was too. Gulping, he pocketed the phone for now and kept the pace. There was a sea of enemies, but only one true target as far as Mort was concerned:
Mr. Old-Timey-Villain himself.
Of course it'd help if, y'know, his bolts hit the Hunter.

And just like that, there were a ton more people around. Jumping, Deryk quickly whirled around to see the group of fiends that came along with Caelius. Ok, this was actually a little scary to witness, seeing the MOB chasing him like that. There were so many of them. Oh s**t was that a zombie!? He shot at it. He was almost there! The guy had even stopped, it was time to claim some serious owed backpayments.
And then..s**t hit the fan.
Zar had not been expecting the world to completely shift around him, that wasn't something that generally happened on a daily basis. But, here it had. And suddenly his rage and what fleeting bravery he'd had had vanished and he was standing right in the midst of...well wait. They looked like students. Were they? Had he gotten caught up in some kind of cult? They were wearing cloaks. Maybe they could be reasoned with.
"I think there's been some manner of misunderstanding!"
It wasn't really a battle cry.

Amrita had been getting antsy, just waiting around on Riley's command. All she could think about was her friend's backs as they ran after Shehk and the hooded figure, and as time ticked by she just...couldn't accept waiting in mild safety. So she trailed them, stupidly and blindly following after her friends at a speed she didn't know she had.
Well, in this body at least.
The first thing she noticed was that her body felt heavier. Well, that was...wow. Second came the realization that oh s**t this was a trap and oh s**t she should have listened to Riley. Third? Third was Lizzy attacking someone with a Red Cloak.

Did it still count as a trap when they knew and were expecting it? Xiu wasn't sure, but it didn't matter much anyways. Her gaze swept over their opponents, hands curling into fists as she noticed what they were wearing. How dare they come in here wearing red cloaks? Whether they were the same ones that they slaved away to make, she didn't know, but that wasn't the point--they had been meant to be worn in respect for Red's sacrifice, and instead these hunters...
They looked like students under those cloaks, but by this point, everyone in Amityville knew better. Though she wanted to go after Caelius, taking down the little army may have been a better idea.
Squaring her jaw, Xiu swung her leg up and around, aiming right for one of the cloaked figures' stomach.

Cymbeline was no stranger to twists and turns of time and space. Sometimes she felt a similar disorientation merely turning her head too suddenly, it sent her thoughts spinning, twirling like a thousand stars in the sky, fracturing and breaking apart... Much like her target. He had changed, split up into thousands upon thousands of himself, red cloaks shifting like a bright lure. Hadn't she done this before? Over and over again on that Jack forsaken island? With a maniacal grin she raised her scales, swinging them towards the nearest figures. And his limbs were rather entangled something. The zombie wriggled a bit with little success beyond being able to see some of what was going on.

The creatures came pouring into the clearing, pursuing Caelius and his capture. Jordan lifted the trap gun from under his cloak, sighted carefully at the first freak that crossed his line of sight, and fired. Something struck him, making him stagger, but not before he'd seen the net close neatly around his target. (( Total HP value: 13/20Total damage done: - Your target: Xiu ))

Before Astra could get close to Mitsu, the world began to distort around her, and she was sent towards the ground. With a thump she landed, confused as to why she had suddenly lost the ability to fly, but much more confused about her surroundings.
Then, everything came back into focus, but now she was surrounded but more then one group of red cloaked figures.
....Ohhhh jack. She was in it now.

And then without any warning at all, there were others there, these monsters (demons, whatever) NOT wearing red cloaks and clearly not happy that apparently Caelius had grabbed one of them. Oh great. And he still didn't know how he was supposed to shoot the damn gun!! Fumbling, Tedan managed to drop the thing instead of getting a shot off.

Candace didn't get time to do much else before Caelius suddenly arrived with someone in his arms. Eugh. No wait. Not someone, some thing. She sneered and opened her mouth to ask why he only had one until the others arrived much the same as he did. Well then. Looks like it was time to get serious and stop whining that people were being weird. She lifted the relic to shoot at the first--.....the second creature she saw. It was the big dude from last time. She remembered him. He was big and beefy and would be a delightful catch! A shame she somehow missed him. She gave the guy a deadpan stare. He was big and beefy how the ******** did she miss him?! I was wondering the same thing myself...that's quite the talent you have there, ghouly. Candace sighed. HP: 20/20

What in the name of the Great Mantis is going on? Yǐn Cáng managed to register as reality began to shift around him. He had never heard of anything like this, and to be honest? He did not like it. But Mot was attacking, and when your entire world was upside down you went with what you knew. Mot was attacking the crab thing. It must be the enemy. Fighting two-on-one was not precisely a fair fight, but he could not risk attacking a student he did not know as everyone was unfamiliar to him. Yǐn Cáng turned toward the crab-like creature. Legs like that must be delicious, but there was no time to think of that now. He rushed in, immediately on the offensive, weaving about as he punched and hooked and slapped at any part of the creature that was within range. Status: ...This is Yǐn Cáng. Never not attacking. After fastening her cloak around the strange golem form, Sherry had busied herself by trying to become familiar with both the weapon she'd picked up and walking around with a tail. Though the tail was thin, it did throw off her usual balance. Though, that could be just being in the golem in general. Snippets of conversation filled the air, though Sherry did not join in on any of the conversations. Her second mission. She needed to focus, she needed to do well.
A flash of red, and Caelius was back. He was carrying something odd. It almost looked like a golem-but Sherry had a feeling it wasn't. A moment later, her suspicion was confirmed. Creatures came into the clearing. Strange things, with claws and wings and tails. The things in the shadows. This was it. This is what she'd signed up to fight.
The trainee in the bakeneko golem placed her bare feet squarely on the ground, pushed part of her red cloak back and out of her way. The she raised her relic trapper, aimed at one of oncoming monsters-a creature that was all wings, horns and gray- and fired.
Cursing the miss, she began to ready herself for another shot.
