Bix jumped when Caelius slammed his way into the room. It always got him, never fail. He was mulling things over in his mind after the discussions about the horsemen. Cass seemed to do her homework but he was mostly trying to figure out which one had been his horse. The white one who made them kneel. By it's requests and appearance he would say it was conquest but which one of those people was conquest?
He glanced around as most of the freshies shifted uncomfortably in the presence of drama. Of course he was used to Robert and his girlfriend constantly stirring up something idiotic in the middle of a meeting or a debriefing. What was new? Well there was a newb wrapped up in it now, but he wasn't really surprised.
Bix pushed away from the table, throwing his buddies a wave to signal his departure. He could find them after this was said and done. Maybe they could group up for a mission. Bix would probably throw himself in for missions as soon as possible since his attempt to stand out had been thwarted this time around.

Candace immediately reached out to take hold of Jerry's hand and hold it with an affectionate squeeze. She, like a few of the others, would like to pretend there wasn't any commotion going in the room. All Candace wanted was for Caelius to get in here, tell them whatever the hell he wanted to tell them and dismiss them.
Apparently she didn't have to wait long if the slamming door behind her meant anything. That door was going to break if people kept kicking and slamming it open like that. She watched him take a seat silently, waiting for the usual insults on why they sucked and--oh. Well..okay then. Maintenance duty? No big deal...
"Yes, sir." Candace said quietly, surprised by how painless that was.
He left and Candace sighed, nodding at Cass when she confirmed her earlier thoughts. "Delightful, huh?" She raised Jerry's hand to give it a kiss. "Let's go fill out those reports before we get distracted, hmmm?" Candace released his hand and stood, pushing away from the table and standing to leave.

Well... uh... okay... Before had kept mostly quiet, having learned that it was always in his best interest to never open his mouth in Cael's presence. Nothing he says will ever be good enough it seems. So at the mention of maintenance duty, he simply gulped and shuffled off to file the report.

"Mandatory maintenance duty? Because of the horsemen? ... Are they not locked up? Oh man. This is not good," Deryk murmured while watching Caelius walk on out the room in a hurry. There were many unanswered questions regarding this. Like, why did they only bring back the horsemen and not any of the other student things they had captured.
He was assuming that they had caught more after he had been taken out of the equation.
Looking around, he noticed Ariane still sitting there.
"Oh. Hey. How'd it go?"

Caelius' entrance was met with a raise of the eyebrow, his words prompting a mental sigh; he was never one to hand hold or spoon feed, or tell them what exactly was happening. He was also her boss and she knew that he always did things with a goal in mind, even though she had seen how unorthodox and harsh his methods could be... Which was something she respected, in an odd way.
The 'got things done' part, anyway.
The comment on 'mandatory maintenance' made her curious, and she was actually a little disappointed that he didn't talk more about the subject; would they be looking after the horsemen heirs? Or something else?
"Hm?" She looked up when she noticed that there was someone there, addressing her. It took a moment for her to process that face and that voice, but when she did, her lips split into a grin as she leaned back against the back of the chair, tilting her head up to meet his eyes, "Ah, Deryk, right?"
She ignored Kintama, "Eh, it went... Well enough, I suppose. Didn't interact with the Halloween creatures much, since I would hate for them to recognize my voice... I wish they would just fix the voice translator or something." She paused, eyeing him with a thoughtful hum, "Yourself? This should be your first golem-related mission?"

Jumping a little in her seat when Caelius had slammed the door open as she didn't know that could happen, but she quickly got her composer to listen fully to what he had to say as she didn't want to draw his attention to herself. So those four freaks were Heirs of the Four Horsemen clans Tori thought to herself as that was very interesting and at least one of her questions had been answered.
Tori gave a little sigh when hearing that there was going to be mandatory maintenance, well it could have been worse she then thought. She had spotted Before come in and then leave quicker than she did and thought to catch up with him later on especially after the paperwork. Quietly she left the room to do just that as she did have to wonder to what maintenance they would be doing, but was up for the challenge.

"Yep, that's me!" Deryk nodded enthusiastically. He moved over to a closer seat so that he wasn't talking to the girl from across the classroom.
"Ah yeah. Noticed the whole voice thing. And nope. I had a solo mission right before this one. Had to fetch a few things for Caelius. Personally that one went a little smoother for me. Didn't end up getting crushed by falling winged people. Didn't get attacked at all really... well. Except by their pets. Apparently they didn't like me," he said.
Did the little critters pick up on his foreignness better, he wondered?

She leaned forward, putting her arms on the table when he came closer; it was almost cute how happy he was. Or how much he was speaking. You could never guess that he's olddddddd.
"... You got crushed by falling winged people? That's a shame," She wasn't sure how she missed that, but there was an awful lot going on and her attention span was only that much; she was probably too focused on the Halloween creatures, "Ohhh, a mission before this one? Taking the initiative, I see..." She stroked her chin with a grin, "Well, I guess if their pets are anything like dogs, they might be able to smell the difference... The golems might be made out of FEAR, but I'm pretty sure there are other things in it that might make it smell odd to any creature with a sensitive nose."

Deryk nodded again to confirm the whole getting dropped on. It wasn't too pleasant of a feeling but it at least had been pretty quick.
"Yeah. That makes sense. At least it didn't seem to draw suspicion from their masters. They just helped keep them off of me. Though. Probably going to be harder to do things since it looks like they know about us now," he frowned.
"Kinda weird though. I mean. Just being there like that. They didn't seem.. too different? Well outside of the tentacles and other weird things. Just kinda the way they acted. Not... too different form normal teenagers? Know what I mean?"

"Yes, but I suppose it would cause some tension between the creatures, which might be beneficial for us if we tread carefully," She replied, looking thoughtful; perhaps there was a way to get a mission to go to Halloween in order to check out the situation there, "It depends on how you use their current paranoia~"
She paused at his next comment, frowning a little as she shook her head, leaning towards him only so she could jab a finger at his shoulder, "Never think of them that way. If you think about it, they are protecting each other like you could protect your team-" Her frown deepened as she sighed, "s**t, you made me think about it. Look, no matter how they act in their own setting, they are still creatures who feed off our fear, toying with humans... If you soften even a little, they will not hesitate to end you. One of them actually kicked my teammate straight in his balls."
She emphasized the last part.

Listening to what Ariane had to say, Deryk could see what she was talking about. She was right too. During the short time he was still in that second golem, he could see the creatures fighting with quite the ferocity. After all, before he got crushed, he took a few of their attacks.
They were still very dangerous. He wasn't so sure if there was really a need to ELIMINATE them all, but it would be good to at least fight them off to try and leave humans alone. At least that was how he felt right now.
"Ouch. Well. That had to hurt," he cringed. Hopefully he wouldn't get a nutshot from any of the beasties himself.

"It hurt pretty badly, I imagine," She chuckled softly, unable to resist it when she saw Deryk's reaction; the benefit of being a girl was that she had no idea why guys always wince at the idea of being hit in the balls...
Jacking hurts, ghouly. It's like the most jacking painful thing ever.>
Although she could sort of imagine it, "Whatever it is, just remember not to go soft on them. No matter how they act, they are creatures who feed off us. Off humans." She couldn't help but recall their spar, and frowned, "Well, up for some training together one day? We could do the Death training course, see how well we fare."

"Yeah. Probably," frowned Deryk, not really wanting to imagine the pain of getting kicked in the balls right about now. Shaking his head to rid that thought, he looked back at Ariane, keeping her words in mind.
"Right. Will keep that in mind," he said before grinning at the offer, "Ah! yes. That would be good. Would be up for that whenever. Probably not today. But. Sometime soon."
Nodding once more, he got up and started to head for the door.
"Will see you around then." he said before walking on out.

Davey nodded his head at the introduction. His hand was reaching out to shake Aleister's when the door slammed open. Caelius rushed in, his usual 'good mood' in place. Davey withdrew the hand and dropped back into his seat quickly. No sense in drawing the Death Hunter's ire if he didn't have to. The mission debrief was... lacking. Caelius clearly wasn't looking to answer any questions and despite the mission's success, it didn't seem to have put him in a good mood. Maybe he new 'allies' weren't cooperating? Davey could have told him that liasing with the enemy wouldn't go smoothly. Still, Davey that Caelius got something out of, otherwise what was the point in all that work for nothing. He perked up at the mention of yet more missions available to them. Davey was definitely up for that. Getting off the island was always a welcome change, even if it meant using the golems (and maybe next time he'd get lucky and not wind up in the cutest one available). Caelius left as quickly as he arrived, leaving the trainees to more muttered speculation. Which of course would get them nowhere. Davey rose to his feet. "Send me a text if you want to team up for one of the missions," he offered to Cass and Aleister. It had been nice to work in a small group, and Cass, Gale and Before had proven them themselves competent (which was not to say that Davey wouldn't still like to whip Before into shape). If Cass vouched for her newbie, Aleister, that was good enough for Davey. But for now, paperwork awaited. The excitement was never done. [[ Exiting ]]

Just like that, it was over. No questions answered, only more orders. Even that, however, did not dampen Sherry's mood. She still felt like that mission had gone well.
"Time for paperwork," she muttered to herself as she left the room. Best to get that over and done with.
