As soon as Jake finished eating, he rushed out the door, backpack in tow. His mind soon wandered back to the day before, and he thought back to Arc's reaction to his question regarding the man's hatred. He knew it had something to do with the pictures in Arc's room, but that was it.

He sighed, shook his head then stood, done with his meal. He took the paper and read it on the way to school.
( X.X too short of post's day by day things aren't my forte! Gotta skip a couple of day's! XP )

(Makes sense. Can't expect something to happen every day.)
Jake had gone to school anxious, though he had calmed down later, but he left just downright miserable. It wasn't the test that bothered him. He managed to get through without a sweat. It was the news he received and the movie he had watched in one of his classes.
Before he went to class, Lullaby, near tears and tongue-tied, had informed him that the family had to move away. Their hut apparently collapsed and they had to go to a shelter not far away. Of course, they could not bring Jake with them.
As for the movie Jake watched in class, Le Choriste, he noticed one thing in the movie that seemed to clear his questioning mind. In the movie, he noticed something like childish possessiveness, in which a child does not want to share a parent with someone else. Somehow, Jake thought it could relate to the resentment in the eyes of Arc in the pictures that decorated the bedroom.

Arc blazed through his morning classes, they were simple and easy. Then his phone rang, at the company, several of the employee's collapsed from exhaustion. It turned out that they had overworked themselves and forgot to eat a few meal's. "Yes, yes, I see. The corporation will pay for their hospitalization. I want the workers to remind each and ask if they have eaten and got enough sleep. I don't anything like that to happen again. Bye."
The Talons Corporation paid compensation for their employee's, not only at the main building that heads things out, but also at the franchise's. They took better care of their workers though it was large.

Jake did not think of returning home. Instead, he ran to his parents' hut, hoping that Lullaby was only joking. It would be a cruel joke, but much better than separation. He had arrived just in time to see a moving truck pull away from the hut ruins. Without thinking, he ran after it, crying and begging his family to not leave him.
The events from the nightmare were coming true, in this same exact manner. Once the truck was gone, with only a lingering cloud of dust, Jake cried perhaps the hardest cry since the Master's funeral.

Arc got word from Jake's mother about the move and she was afraid that he'd come after them, giving him the new address to be kept hidden from Jake. He put it on a sticky note and stuck it under the desk inside of the top drawer. His phone rang and it was Jake's mom, the boy did come after them as they drove away, she was hysterical, making Arc promise to take care of Jake.
One headache after another was his conclusion when it came to Jake. "Call the graveyard shift, they are to report one hour early tonight." The scar on Arc's left forearm throbbed. Not a good sign.

After a long time, staring into nothingness, Jake finally began his trek back to the mansion. They were gone. They left and only Lullaby gave him a proper farewell. Why didn't they wait and say goodbye together? Had his family ever cared about him at all?
As soon as he reached the mansion, the servant immediately walked up to Arc's room. His book was left on the ground. He didn't want to study today. His head hurt and he was exhausted, both from the test and from mourning.

Arc spent the next day's ignoring Jake moping around the house. It wasn't his family so he had nothing to do with it.

Jake spent the next days wondering where his family was. He hardly had any sleep, though he was so tired most of the time. At school, with no one to talk to, he felt rather lonely and empty. At some point, he might even go insane.

With a heavy sigh, he ordered the maids to dump several gallons of ice into the tub and fill it with cold water. Then he threw Jake in as the boy protested against his captor. "Wake up."
It didn't take long for Arc to recover from his fathers death, he had a company to run and it needed attention or it would fall apart.

Jake was practically shocked by the icy water, his mind soon setting on getting out as soon as possible. "Wh-what was that for?" he asked through teeth-chatters and shivers. For a moment, he had thought he would be struck with hypothermia or something of that sort.

He placed a hand on the cold soggy hair. "Focus on the task at hand. Or do you want another dunk in the water.?" He whispered the last part into the boys ear. Waiting for a response.

"Huh? What task?" Jake asked, confused. He didn't know there was something he had to do, unless it was to study. Other than that, was there really another task? Perhaps he didn't know because he wasn't paying attention to many things for the past few days.

Arc tossed him back into the tub and leaned over him, his dark blue hair framing Jake's face as he floated on the surface looking up. "Its obvious."
(I'm kind of poking fun at Jake.....trying to do it as harmlessly as possible. lol? )

Once again, Jake shivered and was ready to scramble out of the water. He still didn't understand what Arc was trying to say. Seriously, what task was he supposed to do?
