[It will be FINE!]
[That remains to be seen.]
[This is a healing woman who fixed my eyes, did she not?]
Burnout paused from answering that directly, looking from the metal bird to Jasmine who was sitting there of course on Ironclaw's back. Neither their optimism or pessimism could help her here of course, nor hinder, although she seemed apprehensive enough as it was just now.
She had tucked away the necklace now, hidden again under her clothes, nestled against the gauze and cool against her burnt skin, while her cloak was drawn so tightly around her as if she still wanted to hide it, or herself, further underneath, gripping a crutch there.
She would be of the Healing Team...
What kind of team was it? She didn't even remember it being an option!
But she certainly knew her new leader... And as she thought of Joy's chides the night previous, when she had offered to help, being snapped at and turned away... How now would she respond, did she even know which student it was she had gained?
Jasmine was unsure, but at least happy that she had a Happiny... Nightingale at least would fit in here... Maybe that would help her too to figure her way through... It wasn't as if she hadn't been constantly patching up her Pokemon all the way through the island, all three times now.
But now, apprehensive or not, here she was.
"Hello?" she tried, clearing her throat, as she would slide slowly off the Skarmory and to the floor, her braces clacking and her crutch catching her fast as she stood properly, and would wait, Burnout remaining visible, for now at least.
"I'm... Reporting for duty?"

(This should be very interesting)
Surprisingly enough it wasn't the Porygon that came at her call, but Nurse Joy herself still in native attire as she looks at her and smiles lovelingly.
"I was told I would have a little hatchling to watch from now on, especially after the other one disappeared."
A bigger smile spread on her face as she looked at Jasmine. It would seem she already knew ....as her porygon came from the back to land on the counter.
"Well, there is no sense in you standing there ..come around the counter and into the back." "WE have a piece to talk about, and I need to find out ...exactly how far have you progressed in your studies before you came to me."
"It's not everyday we have a drop out and not a reject join our crew."
She declares with a bit of a laugh as her hands went behind her head. She would walk into the back as the Porygon made it a point to flip the side of the counter door way open so that Jasmine and Ironclaw could follow. THe woman would take her into the back where instead of seeing beds and such ..she would see the Nurse's office. It would seem that every pokemon came here first before going to one of three doors around her ...the first said surgery, the second, intensive care, and the third was the recovery room.
There didn't seem to be many more rooms beside this as ...the examination room seemed to have been places into the corner of her office area with all the machinery stacked out the way in the corner.
This was the area behind the doors of Nurse Joy's front counter.
"Welcome ..welcome, the name is Allison R. Joy, and from this point on I am your professor." "You can call me Professor Allison, since it sounds better than Professor Joy in my mind."
"First thing first, do you have any healing pokemon on you. A pokemon with the ability or the potential to be a healer?"
She would asks with her eyes open wide, and her fingers threaded though each other as she waited for a response.

That smile could have disarmed a dozen Tyranitar, and Jasmine found herself hard to fix upon it when she thought of the militaristic Joy yesterday.
Split personalities.
This was indeed going to be interesting.
She would smile back slowly, and, strangely enough, unlike other adults, Jasmine had her head raised there, although it may have faulted a second when she heard the mention of an 'other one' and 'disappeared' in the same sentence.
Well... at the end of the world, did anyone expect anything to be 'safe'?
She would nod to Porygon as he opened the counter, then she looked back at Burnout and Ironclaw, Burnout would be fine... but Ironclaw...
"I have a feeling you don't want to go see the back of this place again for a while," She laughed nervously, "Plus... I don't want us taking up much room. Come on back just now, we'll meet later and I can let you know how things are."
So with that, her pokeball was raised and Ironclaw returned, placed upon the belt.
Jasmine let her cloak lie open a little... she felt, slowly more relaxed in this place.
And this time as she'd pass the Porygon, a thought occurred to her that never had before, "You know... I never asked your name in all this time."
She smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry I can't ask you personally, but, I'll hopefully know later for you!"
[Don't worry.] Burnout's candle waxed [Her optimism will pass quickly.]
He wouldn't give much other greeting, but as Jasmine was allowed behind the counter, she would look to the areas there... it certainly seemed a strange setup, not many trainers would ever have to come back here... and she wondered if all centers were like this... or, perhaps 'were' was a better word.
Maybe this was all they had with the space provided, but she filed that as a question for later, following Joy and only just catching up to the conversation at hand.
"I... apologise that I have to say, my studies were largely unfruitful."
"While I caught a handful of pokémon, I wasn't really able to find anything exceptionally helpful or rare item-wise..."
No mention of the necklace. Nor the flute. She couldn't really bring either up in casual conversation...
"I currently have a medical bill I need to pay off worth 1000 units... my former Professor was not too keen to pay... possibly based on my results."
"And, I heard I was supposed to receive an item from my former Professor... but, I believe that was left unsaid, due to the transfer."
That seemed to cover everything... and certainly highlighted how little she knew really... "I was sent to the island twice, it was when I returned it was decided... and, here I am, Professor Alison."
Jasmine's eyes fell from one area to another of the office, it was hard to imagine calling Joy anything other than so, but so she would as requested.
...For as long as her personalities liked it, she supposed.
"And, well..."
She reached down, happy at least that this matched well, with Burnout watching, she would take the ball, and pop it open onto the desk, as a small Happiny would of course appear there.
Nightingale blinked, it was still hard adjusting to the light difference here as she shook with sparkles of red energy still dispersing, then looked at the nurse in front of her.
[Marm!] She suddenly stood smartly, her little belly puffed in, human or pokémon, a medic recognised another medic... and she could certainly see this one was far more senior than her!
"She's young... but she knows a good deal of Aromatherapy... it proved handy in preventing Ironclaw's burns getting worse before I could bring her to you. And she's also helped me on a few occasions at patching my pokémon up."
"I dare say, she's far more skilled than I am just now as a healer."
Nightingale frowned, Jasmine? Healer?
That made it sound like an insult as she hmmphed, and turned back to Joy, looking to see why she had been brought out... why was Jasmine talking about her skills? Was she needed?
And so, Jasmine, and Nightingale would both await the nurse's apraisal or disapproval accordingly...

Though it would seem that Professor Allison would put her hands on her hips as she grins dangerously. She squatted so that she sat on the floor in front of the Happiny her stance changing from that of a woman with her hands on her hips to one on all fours in a frog like stance. She staring quite intently at the Happiny as Jasmine spoke, and then as if waking for a trance she would sit back on her but as she looks upwards at Jasmine.
"She will do. Plenty of spirit, room for growth. Oh, were you saying something?"
The woman had missed Jasmine's entire speech as she would stand up and stretch just a bit ...with both of her arms up and her body moving to the tips of her toes.
"So, you never received the item from your Professor, that is good." "That means you haven't been affirmed yet, and that is good tidings for me. None of those mean looks that come when you supposingly stolen from another team."
"That makes you all mine."
"Anyway, you aren't ready for the co-ops class yet." "Though you are close, if you had stuck to your class you probably would have been sent on ...but since you are now in mine ....I need to send you on your second mission."
"There is trouble in a small island village, something is effecting the pokemon strangely there and there is talk of disease."
"I don't want you being a hero, but I do want you to gather some specimens from the island.I need you to gain a plant, water, and pokemon specimen."
Professor Allison continues without stopping for more than a few breathes between sentences.
"Also, while you are there, because that island is our normal testing grounds anyway....I want you to try and find an apricot plant of the pink variety as well as a Absorb Bulb."
"We will need both items to help affirm you."
It would seem that while the other professor simply told them to fetch things, Professor Allison was more incline to tell them what and why they were going after things.
"So, I am not sure if you have any other duties, but when you are ready I shall send you on your way."

((Wish I hadn't been working on a day like today, see you've been busy last night, lol ^^))
Jasmine's expression fell as she saw Joy's expression change instantly.
Oh, yes, split personalities... or was this the quirk of the native Joy? Who knew? Personalities didn't just work so conveiently with a change of a closet each time.
Affirmed?
She didn't ask, but it sounded important... a mark of sorts, confirming which class she'd be with... didn't the clerk mention an item and all?
Jasmine blinked and quickly realised she had to pay attention quickly, Joy was talking in tongues nearly as she rushed all through the instructions, a set of targets, far more many than Savvy had asked!
"Specimens: mineral, vegetable, animal, got it."
"And... pink Apricot, Absorb Bulb... I'll look where I can."
Jasmine considered for a second, "I'd like to get my pokémon up to speed. Not just because my Gliscor's a Gligar now... but... she and my Purrloin have both regressed to kits, neither have any more experience, I'd like to know I can rely on them if trouble looms."
She considered a moment, "But, if people and pokémon are in danger, I'd like to get moving as quickly as possible."
"Are there any supplies I'll need for collecting the samples and keeping them sanitised for you?"

(Yup, and seems I will be busy today as well...though I won't be on for very long)
"Good, good answer." "You said you don't belong, but seems you are thinking a bit ahead ...like those of tactics." "Like you will have to do ...if you plan to be of the medic team."
Professor Allison told her ...as she sat back a bit to look at her from the floor. Her eyes showing a delightful assortment of different pink colors as she smiles at her.
"Yes, I have some test tubes you will have to take and keep safe to bring back those materials in ...as well as a lunchbox of sorts. It will keep the specimen cold and keep them from losing their value due to heat or the such."
The woman declares with a smile.
"Also, I will be giving you two pokeballs, I do need you to bring back a pokemon afterall." "And a potion, a medic should be able to heal themselves on the field, but until I teach you all the little tricks ...you will have to relay on outside medical help."
"Oh, yeah, your little bill with the doc will disappear shortly as well."
"We don't charge each other ...it's kind of a rule of thumb." "I don't charge when I heal his pokemon, and he don't charge when he heal my students."
Professor Allison smiles a bit as she said that. A slight laugh was on her face, but it didn't last long as she looked up to see that her Porygon had indeed been busy.
"You better train your Happiny well, though she isn't your starter, she will be invaluable as your assistant."
"Right, Pogo?"
The Porygon nods as it floated closer to her and dropped the lunchbox to her. Inside would be three vials, two pokeballs, and a potion.
Professor Allison would hand it to Jasmine as she stood back up.
"And as for your others, well ...you are a learning to be a medic, I am sure you can find usage for a pokemon that has needles that can be pluck, a fire type that can help to seal wounds, and well ...I can't think of what you can do with a Purrloin, but I am sure it will have it's usage as well."
"Just like a bird that can fly your injury to places where you can greater assist them."
"There is no such thing as worthless pokemon, and as for their weakness now ..well ...you will just have to find a way to make it their strength."
It would seem the good nurse was a bit off topic, but she was done with her speech as she brushes her pants with a smirk on her face.
"Now is there any other needs ....or questions you have for me?"

Jasmine at least smiled there...
Ths felt better, everything Joy said, the entire thought of a team who would not find their purpose entirely on the battlefield as the fighters... She was proposing entirely new ideas to Jasmine the girl had not even considered using, and behind her, she was sure the silence Burnout held was a respectful one.
Differing personalities or not, there was good reason indeed for her profession.
But it only seemed better and better, to hear her bill with the Doctor was waived... It was a weight off her shoulders, she still certainly felt that she had a debt to cover of sorts, but it was a good moment to note.
And one other small victory, as she'd look to the Porygon, and her smile just seemed to edge a little more, "Pogo. Nice to meet you properly!"
But her attention would return to her new Professor, as looks would pass between girl and Happiny... Indeed, she was a long way off of being a Blissey, let alone just a Chansey!
And traing a pokémon like her would certainly come with challenges of its own, as both would nod, "We'll do our best, ma'am."
But finally, requests.... Any request she had would have been superficial, Pokémon she was looking for her team, the owner of that Buisel.... A way to go back and finally beat that Spiritomb, or to evolve Lindbergh again...
No, for now, there was a mission, she had to stick to it.
"Alright... Before I go, can you please tell me more about the illness? Symptoms I should look for, or precautions me and my Pokémon should take?"
"I'll do my best from there, but I'd like to know what to expect on the way."

"Por..." The Porygon would reply back to Jasmine's greeting with a small bob in the air.
The woman clapped her hands suddenly as another smile graces her face.
"I Bet ...Professor Savvy is really pissed at the lost of you. Good questions, good usage of your time with me before you go."
"Okay ...the illness itself is actually the absents of something. Then the sickness spread like wildfire from pokemon to pokemon like a plague."
Pogo would actually land in her hair rather hard ..with a thump as she looks up at pink pokemon.
"Oh yeah, don't talk to myself ..make sure I said it all out loud."
Then her eyes refocused on Jasmine once more.
"The illness is on Pink Island. The pokemon there normally are pinkish in coloration due to ...the food they eat. For the past three weeks, word have spread to here that the pokemon there is no longer pink from the berries, and worst still ...they have started to develop a sickness. Pokemon and people alike that live there ...it is something that is spreading quickly, and the island has been qurantine by the Nurse Joy there."
"Though she had discovered that the illness doesn't effect outside pokemon or people, which leads us to think that its maybe the food source or water source there that might be effective with the illness itself." "But, I won't rule out something in the soil ....we need those items to test, and the Nurse Joy there in no longer in any condition to do it."
"I was thinking about skipping over there and handling it myself ....but since I have an student now ..it's no longer necessary for me to flee my post."
"Ah, I am getting off topic again ...okay let's me summarize clearly."
"If you want to keep your pokemon and yourself healthy don't eat or drink any thing there." "Simply get the samples, and bring back the items ...that is all that is needed ...if you can find the cause that will be to the good, but if you don't return with those samples there will be a lot of deaths."
"The illness itself is a slow progresser, according to the other Nurse Joy ...it is an eating sort of disease. It actually hollows a pokemon out to the brink where they simply collapse and die. In humans it seems to dehedrayte them ..to the point where they looked like mummies if the people weren't put on a fluid drip to counter act it.
Though it's only a stop gate short of thing ...since the actual illness isn't being dealt with."
"Hmmm...that is all I can think of to tell you at this moment."
She looked upwards at the Porygon.
"Anything I missed Pogo."
THough the Porygon only answer with Porygon. Not something the Nurse could actually understand as she waits to see if this was enough for Jasmine herself or not.

Again Jasmine would take it' all in, although she resisted the urge to be happy at being praised, being reminded of how she had left Savvy holding the empty bag at the end of the day.
Still... At least here she would be doing more helpful missions than just being another soldier...
"Okay, no food or drink from there, got it."
"I'll speak to the clerk next door and stock up if I need anything for supplies beforehand."
"My last question, I guess, is if you'd like me to take any supplies to the Pink Island centerwhen I go? I could have Ironclaw carry any parcels with us?"
"Likeyou say, it won't cure them, but it might buy them time until I can send the package back to you?"
She adjusted her cloak, it seemed she was ready, knowing it would be a difficult trek, she still seemed steadfast... Heaven knew, she'd likely be tested on that quality very shortly...
It all depended, would her new Professor send supplies, or would Jasmine take her team and just march onward?

"Sorry, but until I receive the samples, I won't send anything." "I have to trust that the Nurse Joy there has done all she can, because I don't want to mix medicines nor give them anything that might actually be harmful."
Professor Allison declares openly to her.
"You need to be on your way now. There is nothing else that I can give you nor is there any more information to gather from me."
"Good work, and may your path be clear."
Professor Allison declares with a flushing bow. It was a dismissal ...as clear as any other as she was allowed time to figure out anything else before leaving. Pogo was already heading for the back, afterall, they still had other pokemon to tend to.

"Alright, I'll do everything I can." Jasmine would nod, before turning to Nightingale, pulling out the Happiny's pokéball, "I'll need your assistance too, but for now, come on back!"
The miniature traineenursewould harrumph, with arms folded, she didn't like the idea of being bright out back and forth like a yoyo, but if it made things go faster, she would also nod to Joy, [I'll do everything I can to earn my egg, ma'am!]
And away Jasmine would pull her in a ray of red, before looking to joy, her good arm placing the specimen box into her satchel with utmost care,"Okay, if you can hand me the pokéballs and potion, I'll head on. Is it the same departure point for Beginner's Island, or is there another port to head to?"

"It's in the lunchbox."
Professor Allison responded to her first question and then locked her arms as she thought about the second.
"There is another port, but for all travel by students behind this center is it." "It's so that if we every have to flee again ...there will be no one whom pass this place leaving with a clear conscience."
The woman declares. There was darkness in her eyes for a moment, but she quickly got rid of it with a big smile.
She had put all of her items together, the vials, the potion, and the pokeballs were all in the lunchbox.

"Alright," Jasmine patted the satchel, indicating she had them as safe she could manage, and paused, considering the implications... Should they ever have to flee again... THEY would be the last line of defence... Now that was a sobering thought. "I'll be back as soon asI can, I'll try and send word if possible too."
"I'll do everything I can where I am, take care while I'm gone!"
It was a bit informal, but it was sincere indeed enough, hoping that things would be well for Professor Alison, as she would settle her crutches, nod to Burnout, and the Shiny Lampent would follow, fading behind the girl into hence more...

Jasmine wouldn't go inside the center this time, no, she kept gong, around the outside, just like before to. The Beginners Isle... She cast a look in that direction however, thinking of promises yet and gone... But for now, she had a new job, a new assignment, a new chance.
Lives were counting on her and Joy's help... THiS was the kind of mission that mattered, as she would adjust her satchel, following round, looking for the per port area, for other Pokemon that would lead to Pink Island, "Well, now or never..."

It was like before ...as the walkway would lead to the ground level. Here the ferry boats waited on them ...as the pokemon looked backwards ...ready to pull out and away from here.
Though this time, she would have to tell the one she choose where to go as the Lapras from before would shuffle back into her own reigns as she looks at Jasmine almost expectantly.
