True to her word, Cady ate with abandon.
And ate.
...And ate.
Nearly twenty hot dogs in, her stomach did a maneuver she'd probably would have been more familiar with if she'd ever flown a plane. Or played a videogame. It was disconcerting, and horrible, and probably had a lot to do with the fact that there was considerably more imitation than meat in the sandwiches she just consumed.
LET'S DO A BARREL ROLL "HEEEEEEEUUUUUURRRRGHHHHH!"
Cady's jaw unhinged and she spewed out some pretty impressively untouched-looking hot dogs. She blinked, and without thinking about it, grabbed one out of the puddle of sick and chewed on it thoughtfully.
"Stibll gud!"
She got out of her seat however, grabbing a few more dogs on the go. She had lost, but she would find out what kind of trickery was afoot.

More delicious snacks! Having a large mouth was definitely an advantage in this contest. Had he not been busy with eating, Nahm would have held forth at length about the contents and the original nature of the meats involved in hot dogs. It certainly made him hungrier. However, there was no time to be wasted; he focused on eating instead.

Xiu had wandered off for a while, but when she returned, she was a little alarmed to see that the eating contest had already begun. Even more so when she realized that Roch was already here, ready to take part.
...........
Wait, that...that was Roch, right? ...What in Halloween happened to his hair?
Remembering what he had requested earlier, the Baku shook this thought away for now--she could ask after the contest--and moved up towards the table. Xiu gave him a subtle nod in greeting, stared at the top of his head for a few seconds, and then plucked his phone off of the table. A quick glance determined that Austin's number was already on the screen, ready to be dialed. Hopefully there would be no need for her to do so.
...Though from the way he was scarfing down the food, she wouldn't be surprised if she would have to call him after all.

WELL, if the next item they brought out wasn't enough to make him sick.
he almost felt like walking over to the bin himself and clear his stomach of the little bit of food he had that morning. "STOP EATING MY BRETHREN!"

A pale flash of blue pulled hi attention up from his meal as Mai made a break for the trash can and he couldn't help but snicker softly under his breath. Not only had his fellow ghost bitten off more then she could shew, so too did the boisterous viking chick, Freya? Now that was just unfortunate.
Feeling quite a bit more perky now, Seiji looked forward to the second course, and when the plates were set before them his once again dug in with vigor.
Said vigor lasted a through a little more then half a dozen of the tasty hotdogs. On the eighth he slowed, then stopped and set the half eaten dog back on his plate. There was a grunt from the boil, and then a soft groan as gray skin turned a rather sickly shade of green. "Oh jack damnit."
He was out of his seat and at the garbage can in the blink of an eye, emptying the recent contents of his stomach into the black lining. Never before in his life had he ever experienced that ill twisting sensation in his stomach, and he hadn't the slightest why it had happened. He was a hungry ghost, hungry ghosts ate. What the Jack?!

Busted.
The older valkyrie was absolutely busted! Hel couldn’t believe this! She was about to go after her sister, until she came back, and the younger valkyrie hovered at her side, about to bust her out, until some stuff happened. “Hello, Junko!” The reaper returned, and then watched as Herryk suddenly announced that he had something to do and left, which left Hel to look even more surprised at that look Freya had on her face as the boil took his leave.
Once again, the reaper couldn’t pounce her sister about the subject as that mind flayer from Riley’s booth suddenly appeared next to her as well, earning a raised brow from the younger valkyrie, and then the contest started. Sheesh! Hel stood near her sister, watching as she downed the sushi and then…didn’t seem to feel good. The ghoul reached out to rub her sister’s shoulder comfortingly. “Ah, there, there, sister! I’m sure you’re still feeling off from your travels…” Ewww.

"U-um..STOP!" In theory this game had sounded fun, but now she herself just..wanted to disappear for a few minutes and empty the contents of her own stomach. Watching people stuff their faces was a lot less appealing now that she was actually seeing it. "Very good job everyone..."Jackdamnit was there really three more rounds of this left? Oh god noises, so many noises! The boil was yelling about brethern, people were noisily eating or puking, the announcers were announcing and the noises! It was overwhelming! Plus there was a strange weight on one arm but she was too afraid of breaking focus to investigate.
The next dish seemed hot, and it did burn going down...but this was a test! She had to do it!
...Hey, actually, this was pretty jackin' good...
A flaming wing joined the hot dog in the arm needle graveyard.

Andeon looked at the next dish, somewhat fascinated by exactly what was happening. This was how these people had fun? Getting together to gorge themselves until they puke? That was a thing for them? He shook his head and roll his shoulders in a ******** kind of shrug, and started swallowing bits of why did it suddenly feel like his tentacles were on fire?
Reflex kicked in, and Andeon suddenly blasted an inky liquid from the ends of his tentacles, as though to flush the burning sensation out. Seriously, under what ridiculous conditions had Illithid biology evolved?

Ooooooh, hot wings! The sauce, however, was sloppy and everywhere, and Nahm lost some small amount of time attempting not to get the stuff all over him. ... Then he gave up and just ate the things. Mmmmmmm, tingly mouth.

Freya couldn't respond to Hel, because it was clear she was trying to hold in a severe case of the upchucks. She put her hand to her mouth, and grabbed her sister, running off to find a nice, private place to hurl.
They had POISONED FREYA! Something in that sushi had been poisonous! She was just glad - no, she wasn't even going to think about it anymore.
She was just glad to get out of there.
