If we do go with the dark plot then I would rather enjoy the bard finding his love instead of the Boy King. I think the Boy King would care more about the fact that his mother just died, then falling in love with a girl who was associated with the man who killed his mother whee I also enjoy that haunted house thing. But, I think you may be getting that idea because Halloween is coming up. And while it may sound favorable now it may not sound as much in Summer when the ball will be coming up.

Though... erm... many fools and some bards were rather... incapable in that regard. *clears throat awkwardly* They had to be trustable with the ladies of the house, and everyone loves a permanent choir boy. And if we pulled off the haunted castle in a Hamlet manner, it would be pretty cool. But then our plot will get cluttered. Spottedteddybears [...] we could end it with the Boy King falling for the female follower of the Prince of Theives, or having his bard fall for my lady-in-waiting/female servant. But of course, I have a back-up happy ending which stars the Prince throwing away his dark past and marrying the Queen [...] Again with the fact that many minstrels/bards/fools were castrated... love is great and all, but not all that satisfying if you can't finish getting married. Anyways. I think that the happy ending doesn't have to have anything to do with the thief tossing away his dark past... Wouldn't it be great if the king sometimes picked the nobles' pockets?

Also, Barrel, It might not be COMPLETELY suitable for summer, but the ball being RP is so easy! After all, most of the plots last year weren't "summer friendly" if you know what I mean... XD And I sent out a PM yesterday and I think we have to fire out some co-host apps again. I got this reply from SexistBunny and she has 3 more days until she either stays or leaves (Daku?). And Aromtic Anicakes chooses the Prince side, as does SexistBunny, and I really want them to be fair, meaning I don't want to drag one of them into the court spot, so on with the co-host apps? Robayn, you got any friends that are interested in the ball for you to ask? Perferably someone who's into the Engilsh court?

I do have a couple friends in mind, actually, but I plan on asking them closer to the date than drag them into it right now. They're both pretty busy with school and work and it would be a lot easier for them to settle in once we have the brunt load of the planning done. I know for sure one of them will partake, though, and he'll do pretty much anything I ask him to do for the sake of the ball - he's easy going like that.

Forgive my absence, but life's been hectic.
Ever had those moments where you had to move, transfer schools, re-do documents, find a job, start working at the job, and do lots of homework...?

Filling you all in! ^^ Okay, so the setting is a castle on the sea where The Prince of Thieves ( Robayn) and her followers ( Aromtic Anicakes, BasiWolff, and SexistBunny) come to the castle for [event]. In the castle, The Queen ( Spottedteddybears), her 12-year-old son ( BarrelOfSlothAndDucks), the Knight (Sephistrife16?) and [Epcot Illuminations] live peacefully. Action in the plot: I think in the climax, we're having the Prince literally steal the queen's heart. Also, we're planning crossovers with Angel, Silver, and Broken (?)Characters: All we have so far is Robayn and I, Barrel and Basi. I think Sephistrife, you volunteered to be a Knight? Sexist (you want to be called Bunny?) you're the Prince's (female) sidekick? And Ani said an archer or trusted female friend? And Epcot, it's up to you, but we stuck you in court... The Prince is going to be a stereotypical 'dashing rogue', like Finn from Tangled or like the Prince of Thieves from Xena: Warrior Princes (or even Robin Hood from Men in Tights) and many others.
I'd look forward to entertaining and mildly suggestive relations between him and his female followers, but all very casual if it's done. He's a bachelor at heart, but loves the ladies.
As for plot: Yes, as Spotted said, all we've officially agreed on is that at the climax (end of Day 2 or as close as we can get to it) the Prince will steal the Queen's heart. It will be more of a magical stealing like Davy Jones' heart given away to Callisto.
For that I had the idea that the Prince will be taking advantage of the event to make the greatest 'heist' of his career, but he won't be telling his allies what it is. All they're to know is that he's going for something big, maybe they assume it's the crown or whole treasury, and that they're to play their part in taking advantage of the festivities while not blowing their cover and getting caught.

But yes, that seems right from what I know/heave heard. It also sounds like a very good plot:3
Well, as personality traits go, here will be the Duchess'(Have finally decided she will be the Duchess of Larceny):
Around those she doesn't know, she'll be very open and bold. However, while around people she knows (especially the prince) she'll be rather shy and quiet. Almost bipolar, if you will.
Easily angered and mood changes/swings are often, as well as sudden unexpected movements, almost like a cat hearing a strange noise.
Curiosity is a major factor in her life, so she'll easily be lured somewhere.
She only has weaknesses for people she knows/loves, and animals. If ever put in danger, she'd do anything to get them back and out of danger.
So, by this point I hope you know where I'm going with this. Basic bipolar sidekick, and not really anything interesting to her. Best summed up, her life is a lot of simplicity.
Good? Yes? No? Maybe so? Yea? Nay?
