Lena turned to Jhala and smiled slightly at him, bowing her head. "Well thank you for that compliment, Sgt. Yadav. The EU takes great care of our investments..."

She sighed in frustration and rolled her eyes. "As we should considering what few things we've spent it on has bankrupted our countries. With that in mind, we better protect those things with all the available resources that we have."

Lena was trying to piece together and understand what Jarid meant in the first part of what he said. She multi-tasked by responding to Jarid's comment about the Russian fortress and thinking over what she had said to him before.

"The Kronos Fortress is a fortress in Russia. Some believe it to be rumored since so few have seen it or know about it, but it exists. I only know about it because so many political figures in Vienna discuss it. Well, political figures in every country discuss it, actually, excluding Russia, of course. It's very well guarded and secretive, and some myths even surround it that say it can move on its own from place to place, which is why it's never been located. I guess it's possible, considering what our main Zoid can do.. but something that big wouldn't be able to move very fast to a different location, and something that large moving would likely draw attention. So, I think it's a stationary place located in high, hard-to-reach mountains."

Finally, the double meaning to what she had said to Jarid hit her. Her face flamed red, she looked at Jarid with wide eyes and her jaw agape, and she gasped.

"Oh... my... God.. Excuse me, sir, please! What I said before about my oral.... I meant nothing of that nature! Please forgive me. That would be quite rude, crude, and undignified of me."

User Image Jhala shook his head.

"Miss Lena, you've been listening to too many ghost stories."

He focused his attention on Jarid, thoughts already forming as he spoke.

"Kronos Fortress is home to the Silver Rain Mercenary organization. They, like the French Foreign Legion, accept someone, regardless of past or status in their home country. The Fortress is somewhere in the extreme northern parts of Russia. The Russians gave them the mountain and declared the Fortress inviolable. Attacking them is like attacking Russia. Though I'd rather assault Mount Hoverla alone than attack Kronos Fortress. That place is so well defended that Russia could have ignored them and they'd be fine. It's not just the Zoids and pilots. It's the location and natural obstacles an attacker would have to get through."

He glanced over at Lena to give her an explanation.

"I...interogated a Silver Rain mercenary I'd bumped into in Saint Petersburg. She was rather talkative."

Jarid could not help but laugh at Lena's reaction before Jhala spoke.
He listened to the redhead speak about the Fortress, and when he was done, he just STARED at him for the explanation as to why he knew so much..

"Interrogated, huh..?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Sounds more like you drank her under the table or something..."

Lena scowled at Jhala. "I am not some child who believes in everything she hears, Sgt. I am simply relaying the information I have heard."

She looked disgusted when he said that he had interrogated a woman, assuming that meant torture. How else would a woman spill the information she knew about the Russian fortress if it was so secretive? But when Jarid mentioned the drinking thing, she sighed softly. Hopefully that was what had happened. She could not stand the use of torture for any reason.

Before Lena could speak further, Samuel came up behind her and spoke lowly to her. "That is quite enough, Miss Auer. You should only say so much around these individuals. If you are here to look at the Zoids, please do so and remain silent on anything else."

Lena scowled slightly but nodded to Samuel. "Fine..."

"Actually only a single bottle of vodka was involved. That poor French girl never knew what hit her."

He eyed Lena, then shrugged.

"Then tell your people to get better intel."

"And I seem to remember a certain Red-Head telling me they don't DRINK." Jarid replied, smirking at Jhala.
"'Only for work', I take it..?"

"I chose clear vodka. After all, clear vodka and water look exactly alike. We each had our own bottles. Of course...mine was nothing but water. Too bad she didn;t pay close enough attention. She was rather arrogant."

He couldn't help but grin.

"She was a little air-headed for a Zaber Fang pilot. And her French accent got a little hard to understand about a third of the way in."

"Oh now that's just CHEAP." Jarid chuckled.
"You got her drunk, yet you stayed sober...Well, it was a Frenchy, so I'm not TOO mad at you." he added with a grin.

He clapped Jarid on the shoulder.

((Ahh, well, most around here, either just having nationality of, or are tourists, are the annoyingly arrogant kind who don't seem to care about whether or not their actions harm others.))

Jarid just gave a dark chuckle at Jahla's final statement, giving a sinister smirk.
"Now I have a movie line in my head. 'We're not so DIFFERENT, you and I'.." he told him, still smirking.

Lena glared at the use of the word 'whore'. She sighed softly and squared her shoulders.

"Well, thank you, gentlemen, for showing me around here, but I must be getting back. It is getting rather late. Au revoir."

The guards behind her smirked at Lena's purposeful use of a French term for 'goodbye'. They turned around and started following her back toward the exit.

Before Jhala could respond to him, Jarid looked back at Lena, giving a nod.
"Yes, you're welcome. Good night, ma'am." he told her with a closed-eyed smile.

Sure, he hated the French. But that was due to the majority of the people. Not the Language, nor the culture.

A woman with firey red hair intercepted Lena.

"Miss? I'm Captain Cassandra Mulhollon. I'm Captain Winters' wingwoman. If you're ready to leave, myself and 1st Lieutenant David Staples have been assigned to escort you and your group to Russia."

He watched the woman intercept the European woman.

Lena's eyes widened in surprise as someone stepped in front of her and blocked her path. Before the woman could even speak, the security guards behind Lena quickly stepped up to her sides and watched the woman suspiciously.

Lena frowned slightly in confusion after she heard what the woman had to say. "Excuse me? Well, it's nice to meet you, Captain Mulhollon, but why would we need to go to Russia. I was going to head home, back to Vienna, Austria."

Capt. Mulhollon crossed her arms.

"I would explain more, but your goons are being rather rude."

She leveled her blue eyes at them, staring them down. She had all the time in the world. After all, without her, these people couldn't leave Ebinay.

Lena sighed. "My security guards are simply doing their job, which is to protect me. When you walked into my path without warning, they acted as they have been trained to."

Lena turned her head, spoke lowly to Samuel on her left and waited for a moment. Samuel looked at the other guards and, without saying a word, they stepped back a few feet.

Lena looked back at the woman. "So, Captain, would you mind explaining to me now why there is a need to transverse Russia's airspace upon my departure, please, as well as your escort?"
