Laci look back slightly startled he had picked up on her distress so easily. "Oh um." She shifted spots in the sand. It would be rude just to ask him about his interest in women. Or at least she thought. But what would it matter if he already had someone picked out? She wouldn't be around much longer. "I was just wondering. Since we were on the subject of marriage. If well, I am not trying to pry. But if you had already picked out a new wife. I over heard some of the party guests talking about it last night." She had that guilty expression, and refused to look at him.

"Ok well then why don't we see if any one has puppies?" Avarossa said already scanning through the crowd. "Oh an you'll have to take care of it, meaning feed it and take it out to potty. Not to mention clean up all his accidents."

"That, my dear, is only gossip." Nihl sighed, "No, I haven't, to be honest I don't much fancy a girl who only wants me for my title, it's not much for a marriage. Besides, I can't even imagine having half of the women at the party staying at the palace all of the time." He shuddered, "Some of them are just nightmares." He sat up and pulled up his knees to rest his arms on them, "But if you must know, I might say there's one girl in particular, that in the very least, I've begun to consider."

"I put it on a diaper." Afsana muffled as she attempted to wiggle out of her father's arms and fell into his chest doing so.
Grigori laughed and placed her on the ground, "Here, hold my hand now, you can't run off alone."
Afsana took her father's hand and began tugging at him, "Come on! Gotta find a puppy!"

Laci wasn't sure how to take the information. So she tried to joke about it. "Agreed. If you had to deal with some of those girl's evil stares every day you might turn to stone." She said with a chuckle.

"You can't put a diaper on a puppy." Avarossa laughed an grabbed a hold of the girl's other hand in order to try and keep her from running off. "I am sure some one has some puppies they need to get rid of somewhere."

Nihl just scoffed with a small smile and sighed. He turned to the ocean and stared at it for a moment before he started again, "So," he tilted his head to the side and looked over to the woman, "You're not going to pry?"

Grigori just smiled at his ladies, "Of course, and we'll keep our eyes peeled. In the meantime, mommy gets to shop for whatever she wants at the market, eh?"

Laci gave his a sheepish smile. "I wouldn't want to be rude." For a moment she bit her lip. He was inviting her to ask, or she thought he was. "What's she like? When did you meet her? Is she a princess from some neighboring lands?" Maybe she had read one too many romance books.

It was now Avarossa's time to roll her eyes. Not only had she already said she wasn't really interested in finding some thing, she was sure she had said it every time they went out. "Ok Grigori, why don't you lead the way, hum?"

Nihl laughed nervously, "Well, no actually. As I know from experience how terrible most of them are." He shrugged, "She's just... a friend I guess." Most of Nihl just wanted to be obvious. So obvious in fact that she couldn't help but know it was her. But he might be too shy to actually say so himself.

Grigori opened his mouth to speak but stopped himself and narrowed his eyes at her before asking, "Is this a test?" It certainly seemed like one. What was he supposed to do, lead her to what he was supposed to know she would want? Yep. That sounded like an Ava test.
"Mommy wants a dress." Afsana clarified, "Ovverwise she'd shuddup 'bout me wearin' one."

Laci was left frowning. That was hardly the answer she had been expecting. As her mind raced, it began to piece together their conversations from the start of the morning. And just like that, she pieced most of it together. "Oh well I am sure she is happy about being considered." Laci smiled and blushed, before leaning forward and placing a small kiss on Nihl's cheek.

"You bet it is." Avarossa smiled still keeping ahold of her daughter's hand. "No baby. I want you to wear a dress because you are a girl." She said looking down at the child with a smile.

Nihl tried his best to suppress a smile and cleared his throat, "There is a slight possibility." He turned to look at her for a long moment before he attempted to steal another kiss from her.

"You're a girl Afsana spat back as if it were an insult. She tried to tug her arms away to fold them, but it was then that she saw a small collection of puppies. "Doggy!"
Grigori thought long and hard, so much so that he might be having a vision but he just turned back to his ladies and smiled, "You two pick the perfect puppy, I'll be right back." He was about to get an A on this test.

Laci's heart soared. She had been right, he was thinking of her! Leaning in she allowed another kiss, she had enjoyed the one from last night and had been silently hoping for another. Moving in a little closer, she pressed her lips more firmly to his.

Avarossa took charge of holding onto the little girl as they made their way over to the puppies. "Excuse me sir are you trying to get rid of some of these?" She asked the man standing with the collection of playful pups.
"Why yes I am young lady." The man said with a smile "Pick your self out one an it's yours."
"Alright sweetie, pick out a puppy." Avarossa said pushing her daughter towards the little fur balls.

Would it be wrong to be so forward right now? Nihl certainly didn't want to scare the woman away. At the same time though, he might anger her parents. No, wait a second, he was the king. Nevermind. They'd be happy as s**t. Okay, it was back to being all about her. He could handle that. Nihl just continued with the kiss, placing both hands on the sides of her face as he smiled and continued to kiss her.

Afsana's little face lit up as she sat down before the batch of puppies and began pulling them all toward her to decide which one she liked the most. A few of the pups were running in circles around her yapping, while another one took a seat to her right, head cocked, tail wagging, waiting to be pet, clearly.
Afsana reached over to scratch behind his ear and his tail wagged more wildly and he began panting happily. The small girl giggled and reached over attempting to lift the pup. He was about the size of a small baby so it was sort of difficult for her, she let him go, stood again, and lifted him up from beneath his forelegs. All the while, the puppy made no attempt to get away and seemed completely content with the girl.
"Dis one."

Some how managing to get to her knees with out breaking their kisses for more then a moment she moved in closer, her legs pressing against his. Slowly she brought her hands up around to his face and slid her arms around his neck with a smile, she stole another little kiss.

Leaning down Avarossa pat the little puppy on the head. "Ok lets find your father." She said taking the girl's hand. "Why don't I carry the puppy till we get home?" She asked noticing the girl's problem with holding the little guy.

Nihl deepened the kiss as he pulled the woman closer, lowering his hands from her face to wrap them around her lower back. He pulled away to kiss along her jawline for a short moment before he returned to her lips. This was starting to seem like a good idea after all.

Afsana lifted the puppy as best as she could, outstretching her arms to pass him off to her mother to carry. "Be nice with him, he's little." She then took her mother's hand knowing the woman would freak out if she didn't. "Where Daddy go?"

Laci giggled softly as he kissed her jaw. How could she not when it tickled so bad. She was going to say something about it but his lips were back on hers before she got a chance to comment. Wanting to be closer Laci slid one leg over his so she could sit in his lap.

Avarossa took the pleasant little creature and held him close. "I'm not sure. we can go look for him." She said sniffing the puppy. "This little guy needs a bath when we get home.

Nihl smiled as he pulled the woman comfortably into his lap and moved on to kissing her neck. He slid a hand up her back to hold her as he lowered her toward the ground. He then pulled away from her neck for a quick moment to smile at her once more, "You alright?"

Afsana simply nodded and was quieter than she had been in ages. She put on a face that said she was obviously thinking really hard about something and allowed her mother to drag her along.

Laci beamed up at Nihl, she was blushing slightly. But showing no signs of being uncomfortable, as weird as it was to have him leaning over her. She felt relaxed, trusting him completely. "I'm fine." She said bravely letting one of her hands start running through his hair.
