My Name is Chesa Nenette She nodded, quickly patting him on the back, a friendly smile tilting on her lips. Being in the front line or backing up others, she didn't care what he did. The fact that he was willing to fight in the first place was admirable. "I think you'll be fine." She stated, suddenly gesturing to herself, her smile turning to a confident smirk. "And if you need help with your magic, I'd be glad to help, walang problema, ang aking kaibigan!" Realizing she'd spoken in her native tongue, she gave a nervous laugh, "Uh, no problem, my friend." She corrected, a small blush dusting her cheeks in embarrassment. She couldn't help but feel a bit happy, talking to Eduard like this, friendly and without tripping over her own words. Maybe she was growing out of her shyness, she wasn't entirely sure but she didn't really care. ******************************************************************************

 Eduard Von Bock Sophomore / 10th grade "Heh, thank you, my friend..." he rubbed the back of his head, he was a bit timid around girls. it's good that they were all in this together, but there was only one problem: they had no idea what they're dealing with "There is one thing that concerns me though. I was researching on the monsters from last night on my laptop. I typed up every single description on the search engine, but there were no matches. Every result either had one or a few of the descriptions matched, not all of it. if we don't know what we're dealing with, our chances of victory are small." he didn't want to sound negative, but he was only stating the facts. he adjusted his glasses "Them being weak by magic is a start, but they might've gotten stronger with more victims." My Name is Chesa Nenette At mention of his concerns, Chesa looked to him, giving her full attention as he explained the fruits, or lack thereof, of his research. He definitely had a point. Fighting blind was never a good idea, especially with something as serious as the supernatural. Once he finished, she cupped her chin in one hand. Something about Eduard's tone made her mind kick into gear and she mentally sorted through the legends of her people, comparing them to the little details she'd been given earlier. After a few moments, crossed her arms over her chest and looked up, not really seeing the ceiling as she thought. "I haven't heard a lot about them. Bits and pieces of the information fit some demons and deities of my home, but not enough to be entirely sure." Her finger tapped against her cheek. "Their weakness towards magic can't be something that can be fixed overnight, I think. Their strength may have increased, as you said, but we'll also have more numbers." At the thought of victims, her mind chose then to change course and go back to worrying about Antonio. She frowned. "This plan definitely has its faults, a few things could definitely go wrong. But we have to try, otherwise the problem will never go away." ******************************************************************************

Eduard Von Bock Sophomore / 10th grade "Yea, some of the things I found match certain myths and legends, but none an 100% match." As he thought about this a bit more, Chesa made a good point on how their strength cannot simply increase overnight. The more people who are willing to fight, the better chance they had of victory "Yes, we have to try, otherwise, they'll attack the school next. If I'm going to be back up, I'll be sure to take my laptop to record anything that is necessary for battle. Who knows? I might find out what they are, and perhaps, what their goal is. All we know is, they're clearly preying on humans. Question is, why? Perhaps a ritual? Food source? Or maybe a power source? Hmmmm...." Once again, he was in nerd mode, thinking of all the possibilties as quick as a supercomputer. he sighed "I wish I knew more about the supernatural. Unfortunetly, I'm more into non-fiction." My Name is Chesa Nenette Chesa listened to Eduard as she thought, only taking in bits and pieces of what he was saying. What and why, those were the things that needed answers. "If we knew what they were, it'd probably be easier to guess what they had planning." After a moment, she leaned against the wall, her eyes drifting close as she started thinking through what mythology she knew, which was quite extensive, but not coming up with much since she didn't have that much info. At Eduard's last statement, her eyes snapped open. "Iyan na ito!" She exlaimed, turning to Eduard. "I read a lot of books, mostly fiction. There's not a creature out there that I've heard of... okay, that's kind of an exaggeration, but you get what I mean." She started slowly pacing, glancing at Eduard. "Can you describe them, please?" She asked politely, but her voice had taken a serious edge. ******************************************************************************

P-Please don't do that." he fixed up his crooked glasses "Y-You do? Väga huvitav..." This might help in figuring out what it is "Let's see.... All I remember is that they were a pair of clawed black arms that can come out of the shadows.... You know, we didn't see if it had a body, all we'd see are it's arms." he said. My Name is Chesa Nenette Chesa listened to Eduard as she paced, sorting through the monsters she knew from different books. Shadows... claws... physical attacks don't hurt them... "Wraiths, maybe? She grumbled under her breath. Wraiths were evil ghosts, usually seen as shadows. They were also incorporeal, meaning physical attacks wouldn't touch them."Or maybe Shadowmaw?" The fit the bill too; shadow-like beings that fought with claws and could slip in and out of shadows. She pressed her lips together, stopping as she ran through other creatures. There was an extensive amount that matched part of the description; claws, shadow transporting, incorporeal forms... But none really fit the description for a strong assumption. "This is more difficult than I thought." She sighed. ******************************************************************************

He has seen those names on the list of links he saw "Do those creatures really prey on people?" There was another theory he had "Perhaps this isn't a bunch of creatures. Maybe this is one creature that's able to manipulate the shadows. Or something that has many vectors.... But these things seem to have a will of their own... They did scream in pain when they were attacked...." Eduard sat down, he was mentally exausted "This really is difficult... People like Arthur might be able to know what it is... Or perhaps one of the elder nations could have a clue. I'm sorry, miss Chesa, but I don't think I'm much help... Guess I'm not as smart as I thought... hehe...." She glanced at Eduard as he sat, humming in contemplation. The other countries would probably know more, definitely, but any information would just add to a growing list... "What?" Chesa looked back at him, her eyes wide. "I think you're being as helpful as you can." She stated, sitting down next to him. "And just because you're not familiar with all this fiction stuff I'm droning on about doesn't mean you aren't smart. I'm sure there's a lot of things you know that would leave me dumbfounded!" It's good to know that there were people that cared for one another, even if they barely knew them "Hmm... Thanks...." Maybe the real reason he wanted to fight, was to get revenge on them for attacking Toris. if it weren't for them, he wouldn't have gotten hurt in the process. Which was odd, the Estonian wasn't the vengeful type "Um... Since we'll be talking about this tonight during the operation, do you mind if we change the subject?" He hoped he didn't sound rude. My Name is Chesa Nenette Chesa smiled at him as he spoke, nodding in agreement. While advanced technology was beyond her, she liked technology when it became introduced to the world, even if she had trouble working a simple computer program at times... She shrugged when he asked her a question. "I read a lot, actually. Mostly fiction, but I'm open minded about stuff I read, and I especially like reading things from other countries. It feels like I'm looking into their culture without having to really go anywhere... though I suppose coming here for school will help me, too." A small worry that she was rambling made her pause before adding, a bit embarrassed it seemed, "Um, I like dancing, too. I learned a few styles when I was younger from the European countries and it just kind of stuck." It was true, she'd learned a few things from Antonio, Francis, and Arthur, but she always became timid when performing in front of others.
