"Oh," she said blushing again. "Ooh, I could trip over him I suppose. I could be a good distraction in any case, while you cast your spells," she nods slightly, then giggles at the thought of using ogre gauntlets against an ogre.

Shay looks at Saber again, "Good lady, an Ogre is not that easy to trip. They are fairly large and weigh quite a bit." Replying to Matasoga, "That should be fine." He paused a moment as a ringing sounded from his pocket and he pulled out a cell phone. "I need to take this. One moment please." Stepping away he begins to talk rapidly in a language that sounds similar to draconic and gnoll.

He hangs up and returns to the group. "i am sorry but that was my wife. I need to go home. I will be back on thursday. Until then, Fare thee well.

Matasoga wondered if she knew just how big ogres were, before deciding that it would ultimately be a good learning experience for her. He nodded to Shay as he answered his phone.
When he turned back to them and told them of his departure, he offered a farewell.

"Hm," he said, looking after Shaymer. "A shame that he ran off so soon. If I'd had time to run the numbers, I'd probably find that he had logged enough time here to earn a key to his own room, here. Given that he's married (...evidently) I don't know that he'd live here the way you do, but it's a handy place to crash once and a while and keep some things on hand, if nothing else."
He looked down at her, watching her pull her stockings up her thighs. When he spoke, he couldn't help but smile at the way she leaned against his leg, like an affectionate dog, looking up at him much the same way. That coupled with the cute way that she often ended sentences with "Yeah?" was a fitting combination.
"Well, I'm certainly not going to bed yet," he said, placing a hand on her head.

Matasoga smiled when he thought of putting his hands on his knees looking down at her and saying "Puppy wanna go out? Wanna go outside?" which would probably be met with literal tail wagging, but decided that since he'd already called her a "ridiculous girl," (no matter how affectionately) in front of another Apostle, he probably ought be a little more respectful... Though he made a mental note to tell her of it, later.
Instead, he extended a hand to her and said (rather rhetorically) would you like to go out?

"Let's start by making the rounds and if we want to do more, we will," he said, as he walked her to the gate.

After waking in the main hall, Saber had gone upstairs to her room to change into something a bit warmer. Now she walks outside and slowly heads towards Alot, stopping to play in the falling leaves. Finding two she particularly likes, she tucks them into her hair before reaching into a pocket. Pulling out a sugar cube she holds it out to Alot, waiting for him to take it before she rests her forehead against his much larger forehead and reaches up to scratch around the base of his horns. After a few minutes she lets out a sigh and climbs onto his back, gently flaking off the old paint before carefully applying a fresh coat, being careful to keep the black stripes evenly spaced. Once she finishes, she caps and pockets her paint and rolls onto her back, watching the clouds pass in front of the moon. Gradually, her eyes get a far away look in them and she twines her fingers into Alots shaggy fur. Letting out another sigh, her eyes close and she slowly drifts off to sleep.
