Seeing Kohaku come on in, Blade turned to face her more directly before looking at the note she had written out for him. Nodding to her, he let out a breath and got up.
"Alright, let's go," he said quietly before he made his way to the kitchen. Once he was there, he looked for the food that Neko had fetched the day before. He didn't plan on actually starting to cook anything but he wanted an idea of what they had to work with.
"..How are you today?" he asked the mute quietly.
Grimacing at that reply, Shun nodded though he wasn't very much at ease there. As for the question, he narrowed his eyes and glanced away.
"I can get it myself," he said gruffly. Whether or not he really could was debatable, but he was really starting to feel like a burden here. That was annoying him a fair amount. Having others having to serve him and such probably would only make Mitsu worry further. He didn't want her to worry like that..

Smiling as Mitsu seemed to drift off, the vampire let out a happy sigh. Desmond was pretty sure he had an idea of what she was going to say, and while the stupid little angel on his shoulders told him he should... He wasn't about to. Shun was probably fine, and visiting the assassin would make both of their days both awkward and possibly worse.
Instead, he curled up with the canine as quietly as he could to catch a couple of z's for himself. Hopefully she'd stay out like a light for her sake and Desmond's.
As Klyde's fingers reached up to comb through her hair, Riyo raised a hand to place it over his. She was glad he was alright... Even if she'd acted like she didn't care how bad his condition was yesterday.
Yesterday...
Riyo grew quiet for a moment, her eyes staring right past the scene into far off lands, but she quickly pulled herself back with the twitch of her head. "Yeah, a little." She mumbled, gently releasing his hand before she turned around to leave the bed. If she didn't think about it, the memory wouldn't bother her. But it was so hard. Especially with her self-loathing.
"Are you?" Riyo asked nonchalantly as she moved over to her bag to take out clean clothes.
Kohaku seemed nervous as she walked with Blade to the kitchen, wondering if he was still upset over whatever had rubbed him the wrong way last night... Or her.
As she overlooked the ingredients, the mute nodded to Blade's question, as helpful as that was... Though instead of writing up the same question to him, she pointed to the thief and tilted her head, trying to ask him the same without actually asking.

Klyde thought a moment, "I suppose I am." His appetite was a little better at the moment, though his stomach still felt....odd. Like a burning sensation, just lingering on the edge of making him feel sick. He still felt like he could eat though and knew that he would feel better afterward. The vampire could only hope there were more bottles where the one Riyo had brought him had come from.
Watching Riyo carefully as she left his side and climbed out of bed to gather some clothes, Klyde couldn't help but feel there was something off. She had been fine but suddenly not.
Slowly the vampire pushed his way out of bed, his muscles protesting a little at the effort. As he got to his feet he made his way over to the feline coming up behind her to wrap his arms around her shoulders, silently holding her close. He lingered there for a moment not saying a word knowing nothing he could say would really help ease the trauma from yesterday. All he could do was be there for her now and hope that his presence would help.
Neko help up his hands in an almost defensive manner, doing his best not to get snippy with the boy. He knew Shun felt shitty but he was laying out a service he normally wouldn't do. "Fine with me, keep your cool." Neko said lightly the tone Shun had making the feline's eye twitch a little.
"I'll let you know when it's ready then," Neko said before backing away to the door. "Word of advice, try not to land on your face when you fall." Like it was already pre-destined to happen.
Without another word Neko left the room and headed back to the kitchen where he found his two helpers, willing or not, waiting for him. "Alright, I'm going to keep this simple. Pancakes, eggs, and bacon." Normally he wouldn't have bought pancake mix liking to make his own batter but.....he wasn't being that generous. "I'll heat up the skillet if you both can get the batter ready, crack the eggs, and lay out the bacon to be cooked. We can have this ready pretty quickly if we work together." Ah the teaching years of teamwork were coming back. How pleasant. Though Neko had enjoyed it to some extent.
((Mitsu is out and will be out for a while wheeeee))

Grimacing, Shun nodded before taking in a breath. It'll likely take a little bit before the food was ready. However, he figured that he better start to try and get up. Gathering himself, he went on and tried to sit up. He winced and his face contorted with pain as he managed to get up partially before flopping back onto the bed breathing heavily.
He was hating his condition right about now. And if he could help it, he wasn't going to let it keep him down.
"About as good as it gets I guess," Blade said back to Kohaku before glancing up at Neko. Nodding lightly, he went on to deal with the eggs to ready the batter or something like that.
"I'll get the eggs.. Kohaku can you do the bacon then?" he asked her as he went on to get started with that.

Riyo jumped a little as she felt the arms suddenly wrap around her, unsure of how to respond for a moment. She could push him away like she usually did.
But instead, she dropped her things and immediately turned around to wrap her arms around him. Almost immediately, she buried her face in his shoulder. "D-don't leave me anymore on this trip, okay? I'll go with you wherever..." It was hard for her to say that, being so used to independence and always doing things for herself... But right now she wasn't so sure she could keep that up and retain her sanity
Blade's answer was obviously unsatisfactory, though he had probably intended it to be thus.
When Neko returned, a look of determination overtook the mute's face, as if she was ready to cook the hell out of this food. Giving a firm nod to Blade as he suggested making the bacon, Kohaku carefully grabbed the package and opened it, slightly bothered at just how greasy it was...
There was a small cringe on Kohaku's face as she laid the first strip of bacon in the pan, followed by the second and third. Was she doing this right?

Feeling Riyo turn Klyde loosened his hold only for a moment until she was facing him with her face now in his shoulder. Wrapping his arms securely around her again he rested his head a top of her's. "I promise. I won't leave you by yourself." Klyde whispered. "On pain of death....or...perma-death I guess." The expression didn't really work for him all that well.
Neko over saw the process as the kids got everything ready. "Be careful not the let the grease splatter you, Kohaku. The bacon has a tendency to pop. If you think it will be a problem let me take over." Neko was quick to set up another skillet for eggs and pancakes. While Blade started the eggs the feline measured out what he would need for the batter with everything else. They seemed to have a fairly good system going.

With the eggs all set, Blade went on to mix up the batter to the best of his ability, trying to keep his mind off of things in general. As he worked, he kept to himself, though he occasionally glanced towards the others now and then to check on how the other two were doing.
It seemed like they were making pretty good progress over all.
Giving himself a few moments to recover from that, Shun gritted his teeth and started to try and get up again. This time he just rolled towards the edge of the bed, planning on getting his feet onto the ground first and foremost. His body felt incredibly heavy and the pain wasn't helping much at all.
His feet touched the ground and he grabbed onto the night stand to help push him up. It seemed that he was actually going to make it this time around.
Pausing there, he found himself breathing fairly heavily due to the strain and the amount of hurt he was feeling right about now.

Kohaku reluctantly gave a nod to Neko as he warned her about the bacon, though it seemed as soon as he did, a loud POP came from the pan, causing the small mute girl to jump back in surprise and lose her balance. Agile Kohaku certainly was not.
Riyo often forgot the fact that Klyde was technically dead already, though she refused to think too deeply about it with fear that it would disturb her. "Okay.." She sighed, enjoying the embrace for a few moments before slowly pulling away to pick up the clothes she had dropped.
She had been about to tell him to leave the room... But the quick realization of what had just transpired made her re-think that.
"Um. Turn around." She mumbled, pointing in the other direction. It was more than a little silly, considering there wasn't anything he hadn't seen before... On separate occasions...

It didn't seemed like a second went by that Neko was quick into action. The pop had sounded and he saw the girl losing her balance. Light on his feet he was behind her, an arm catching her around the back of her shoulders so she wouldn't hit the floor. No need to let her fall two days in a row.
"Woah, easy there." He said trying to move her back into an upright position. "Let me take that over. You can mix the batter. I've got everything measured out." He could walk her through pouring the batter on the skillet and flipping the pancakes. It would more than likely be a bit safer of a task.
"How are the eggs coming, Blade? You think you can make them scrambled?" It was easy enough to keep stirring them to prevent sticking.
Turn around? She wanted him to turn around? Klyde was a little dumbfounded for a moment as she pulled away before he finally complied with her request. Maybe she was just uncomfortable after what had happened though if that was the case he had a lot of ground to cover in helping her recover.
((I will probably time skip in my next post unless someone else wants to))

Hearing the pop, Blade turned around to see Kohaku falling. However, Neko had managed to catch her just in time. Letting out a sigh, he looked up towards the feline and nodded. It sounded easy enough at least. Glancing towards the frying pan, he went on and poured the beaten eggs into it.
A sizzling noise started almost immediately and the thief began to work with the egg, stirring it almost constantly. He didn't want to end up burning something simple like this. It was still rather possible.
Feeling that he was ready to move, Shun began to take a few unsteady steps towards the door. Damn, it hurt like hell. And quite frankly his body really wasn't ready for this yet. This became all too apparent as he ended up collapsing on his third step. All the blood around was far too dried up and old now for him to use for magic, so he was going to have to try and get up on his own power.
Huffing and gritting his teeth, he tensed up as he tried to push himself back to his feet. After a few moments, he flopped back onto the soiled carpet, forced to relax in the meantime.

Kohaku had prepared herself for an intimate moment with the floor... But instead received a not-so-intimate moment with the janitor.
Looking up at him in surprise, a blush covered her face in a matter of seconds before she stood strong on two feet and walked over defeated to the pancake batter. Yes.. This would be safer. Hopefully.
her face contorting into a severe frown when Klyde finally turned around, Riyo started to undress quickly and quietly. Asking him to do so calmed her nerves a little, not really wanting to be watched... Even now her mind flew back to that man's eyes. That terribly amused look on his face.. His fingers on her skin... Ugh...

With the collaborative effort breakfast was soon ready. Neko went about setting up plates and silverware on the table before he decided to go wake the group so they could eat. "Go ahead and eat you two, I'll go get the others."
Making his way down the hall his first stop was Desmond and Mitsu's room. He only left a light knock on the door uttering the word 'breakfast' before moving on. There was no need to linger, if they wanted to eat they would get up. Continuing on Neko was about to do the same to Shun's room but paused seeing the boy now on the floor. "...Need some help?" He had a feeling he would be shot down but might as well throw it out there. Hopefully the brat didn't give him attitude.
Klyde had waited patiently for Riyo to get dressed only turning around again when she said it was okay. Heading over to his own bag Klyde picked out some fresh clothes of his own though his dressing process with a little slower.
Not long after he was ready he started to get the faint whiff of something. It wasn't an entirely appetizing smell, though he wasn't prone to eating cooked meat, just sweets, but at least it meant there was food being prepared. "I guess you'll have breakfast soon."
Mitsu didn't stir in the slightest to the knock on the door nor the call for food. She was long gone into dreamland.

Once the food had been finished, Blade let out a breath and took a seat. Hopefully it all tasted alright. It looked fine, but whether it was simply edible or actually good was to be determined. The thief looked over to Kohaku first, then went on and grabbed a fork so he could start eating. It really wasn't all that bad, he had to admit.
Shun's attempts to get back up were pretty futile, so he was still on the ground when Neko had returned to check up one him
"No."
That was all he said to the janitor, being incredibly stubborn at the moment. If he was going to get up, it'd be with his own power. No doubt if he was struggling here, he wouldn't really be able to eat anyway. And he did not want to end up humiliating himself further, especially if Mitsu was going to be there.

Kohaku let out a quiet sigh as breakfast was done, her pancake batter covered self taking a seat at the table along with Blade. She'd discovered something important today...
She was no cook. In fact, cooking scared her now.
Nervously, she grabbed one of the forks and reluctantly used it to gather a bite of her pancakes, quickly shoving it in her mouth. Well... At least it tasted good.
The only response Neko's knock received was a grunt from the vampire, immediately shrugging it of and returning to a quasi-peaceful sleep.
"I guess so." Riyo mumbled, brushing her hair and secretly glancing at Klyde as he got dressed. SO SHE WAS A HYPOCRITE. It wasn't like he cared if anybody looked.
"What about you?" She asked softly. "What are you going to do about food?"

Neko let out a bit of a sigh expecting that answer. The boy was really stubborn but whatever, it was his problem. "Suit yourself. I'll check on you later." If he was still on the floor in a couple of hours Neko would see how he felt then...though the feline might not actually offer any help. Merely walk by and observe.
Backing out of the room Neko headed further down the hall to find the room Klyde and Riyo were in. It didn't take him long to get there and there was a brisk knock at the door before Neko spoke out. "Breakfast is ready." There were a few more bottles from the case that Neko had bought but the vampires would be on their own to get food after that. He wasn't their parent, they could find and or pay for their own food. Enough said.
Pulling the zipper on his pants into place Klyde turned toward Riyo as she asked her question. "Uh...I guess....I'll see if Desmond is up to going out later to get something." Though whether that was buying bottles of blood or hunting Klyde did not specify.
It wasn't long after that the knock on the door caught Klyde's attention. So he was right, there was breakfast. "Alright.." He called back grabbing a shirt and throwing it on. The vampire really needed a shower but he supposed he would do that a bit later. Right now he didn't feel like standing for too long and was afraid of falling to sleep in the bath. Not that he would drown but....it was inconvenient to swallow and inhale a bunch of water in your sleep.
