While Aaron sat, he started working on fist exercise.
[1/6]Aaron sat facing the tree, cross-legged. He held his fingers outstretched so that he could measure a distance between his fist and the bark of the tree. In gentle bursts, he began to start punching the tree from that distance.
[2/6]His knuckles very quickly began to crack and bleed. He tore off a bit of his shirt and wrapped his fist. He continued punching the tree from that short distance, and with each punch, he increased the strength he used.
[3/6]Soon, Aaron was using fully-formed punches at full strength against the tree. Chunks of bark began to fall off. The fabric around his knuckles started to disintegrate.
[4/6]Aaron switched to his other fist and repeated the exercise. This time he did not wrap his fist, and instead, he allowed his fist to bleed. The pain started to wash away after a while, and all he could feel was the motion of the punches.
[5/6]After a time, Aaron stood, and wiped the now-drying blood from his hands onto the grass. There was a dent in the tree that his little experiment had begun to carve. He looked back at the tree and held his fists to his sides, raised and prepped for combat.
[6/6]With a fury of speed, Aaron began to dance around the tree, striking it with his fists as quickly as possible. Because of his training with the short-distance punch, his punches now were stronger as they were able to pick up speed from the increased range. As he struck the tree, the bark began to fall apart into dust-sized particles. When he finished, Aaron felt like his hands would fall off, and he hoped that he would never have to use that technique.
[1/4]Aaron felt like he was on a roll, but his fists were tired, so he decided he would try something different. Like he did with the fist-training exercise, he placed his head against the tree and began to gently tap his forehead against the area that was now stripped of its bark. He hoped that with this tapping, he would be able to develop some sort of muscle-awareness for his head.
[2/4]He increased the rate of head-hitting against the tree, but did not slam his head any harder. He didn't want to lose too many brain-cells, after all. His hope with this was that he could practice his head-butting.
[3/4]Many animals use head-butting as a form of offense. Aaron had observed this being done many times before, so he figured it would work well for him, as well. He began to grip the side of the tree with his hands so that he could slam harder.
[4/4]With three final slams, Aaron attacked the tree harder with his head. When he pulled back, he felt dazed and dizzy. There was a sizable crack in the tree now, but Aaron was slightly afraid that he had given himself a concussion.
