"Tybalt!" Siddie dashed across to give the ghost boil a relieved, teary-eyed hug. "Oh Jack, you made it, I was getting worried, are you going to be okay - " She realized, suddenly, that she was probably hugging him too tightly, and he'd been injured, what if she was hurting him? And they were really only acquaintances, but if he'd died here ... Hastily, she let go and backed up a step, cheeks paling slightly with a blush.
"I'm sorry. Um. Are you okay?" she asked, fiddling with the ribbons of her bow to give her hands something to do.

With the help of friends, the Pride demoness finally reached the basement level. Made of thick, sturdy stone, it was less dangerous than the floor above them. Small favours. The room wasn't anything special, beyond the glowing portal door on one side, a large desk and some shelves on the other. But while most eyes were trained on the portal and what it meant, in her daze, Carry found herself drawn to the desk and what was on it. Surrounded by odd magnifying glasses and other tools of observation, sat a leather jacket. An oddly...familiar leather jacket. Feelings of rage, hopeless terror, gratitude, indignant anger, and most of a crushing sense of guilt flooded her. The fog in her heart shifted slightly as she reached down to pick up the jacket, revealing... Whatever revelation laid before her was immediately interrupted by a small magically projected image popping up from the jacket. It was of a young man, wearing said jacket, and an expression that said "I am going to ******** your s**t up, enjoy it, and make you thank me later... for the lulz." The expression quickly shifted to one of supreme annoyance and it began to speak in a quiet, rushed voice. "Jackdamnit, b***h, what the hell took you so long? If you're getting this message, then you're back, something the other two said wouldn't happen, so good job and whatthehell ever. It also means I've been captured again, so you better have a candlejacking army behind you right now or we're all ********." The image began to flicker a bit, "...******** hurry through the nearest portal." Then it began flickering a lot, "Cause after the last time, I think you, you, are my last ******** hope here. You owe me. Ok? So you use the portal lik-" And it shut off. Those who try the portal find it locked, painfully so. A keypad on the side of the frame is likely means to get it working the, but what do they key in? Also on the desk laid a crumpled piece of paper.

Tybalt jumped; startled by the sudden embrace but was relieved to see that it was Siddie and that she was fine.
"Siddie! I didn't see you make it down--I thought that..." His voice cut off at the last words; deciding that he didn't want to say them. "I'm glad your okay!" He finally said. His words were a jumbled mess, due to his nerves being shattered thanks to all the events that had happened throughout the night. But at least he was alive---or alive as a ghost can be.
"I'm fine, a little worse for wear, but I'm okay." He said, rubbing at his arm that hurt thanks to the constant beating of falling debris. Though now that he looked around the room, he noticed that that they were missing a few faces.
Did they...?
Before he could answer his own thoughts, he jumped again. This time thanks to a hologram of a man appearing out of now where and startling the black dog enough that he almost tripped.
"The hell is that!?" He squeaked. Wondering if it was another enemy, but realizing that it was something sort of like a message. A message to the pride demoness? Did that guy know her? What was going on..? Captured? Who would want to capture that cranky looking guy and what for? What was that about an army? What kind of mess had they all been dragged into?
s**t... there were too many questions and not enough answers on this damn island!

Alessa didn't really know what was going on. It was hard to focus on anything, not when she kept seeing Ren vanish again and again in her minds eye. But soon, even being so numbed up, she noticed something was wrong. The ground the was staring at, that her palms were pressed to, was shaking. There was the clatter of the ceiling falling and as she lifted her head a little she noticed that students were fleeing. The floor above was coming down right on top of them.
She staggered to her feet and the first few times she even fell back down. Once up she could only manage a few, sluggish steps, before she stumbled at the impact of stones from above. Her heat throbbed and swam briefly and she waited to catch her breath.

The dusk from the debris was making Alessa cough, but the way things began to cloud up and things began to fall more frequently motivated her to move forward again. It was still slow, because even fear was having a difficult time jolting her out of her lethargic state. She didn't move quite fast enough, really, because though she could sidestep a large rock or two, she was pelted with smaller ones and other small break away items from above. Not only that, but she tripped a few times, and her previously twisted ankle began to ache a little again. She didn't even know where she was headed to, really, but she had seen the others students go this way.

Alessa felt like she was getting no where. She couldn't even see the others anymore, though little did she know that it was because many students, Gabe and LW included, had dissipated due to the collapsing ceiling. It also likely had something to do with how slow she was moving, but she just couldn't bring herself to pick up the pace yet. A large rock hit on her on the side of her head and while it didn't hurt too badly, it caused her to stumble and fall to the ground. It took her a few breaths to get back up, but up she did get. Her body was starting to feel the ache now, of all the little bruises and impacts. She could only imagine how Ren had...

"G-Gabe? LW?" Alessa choked as she stumbled on. The dust was really stinging her eyes now. The shaking above her was as ominous as a stormcloud now, except that storms didn't drop desks and rocks on you. A desk clattered down to her left, causing her to jump in surprise. She could feel the adrenaline building even as she shook, trying to feel her way carefully among the rubble and still not get hit. She yelped as something slammed into her shoulder. Was that...a lamp? She wasn't sure, but the appendage hurt.

Alessa finally found the stares, though she only managed it by nearly falling over again, as much of the collapsed ceiling was covering it. She slipped down them, one at a time with uneven steps, until she reached the basement where she caught the end of the strange message and a group of other students. She recognized a few of them, but none of the ones she was looking for were there.
She swallowed thickly, feeling all of the color drain from her face, along with her adrenaline. "W-where's...where's Gabe and LW?" she rasped. She didn't really need a verbal answer though. She could feel it, she just knew it. What wasn't fair was that she was still here. Feeling her knees waver, she took a few steps nearer to the other students and then crouched down to sit, hugging her knees close. Jack, this wasn't fair. She couldn't even cry.

Vath couldnt see what was in front of him anymore. Everything was blurry. His shoulder hurt. He could feel a boulder that had narrowly missed someone else, fly into his shoulder.
Oh god, sticks and stones weren't supposed to hurt that much. His suit was pretty much as hopeless task, ripped by his shoulder bone, soaked in crimson. Ugh. Uggggh.
Vaith was really "ugh" at the moment. Beyond his worst nightmare he could possibly conjure, that was what this trip was. A freakin' nightmare.

This time, a piece of wood tripped Vaith, face flat down the stairs. How long were these stairs? He wasn't sure-- black eclipsed his vision, likely from the pain. Forcing himself to sit upright with the futile help of a crumbling wall, his heart beat far too fast within his chest.
Tipping his head back, he almost wanted to stop. And just sit there. Perhaps.. fade in oblivion? Or move forward?

Perhaps, not the most graceful way to enter the portal room. Vaith had been hovering at the staircase above, when the wall crumbled behind him. Unmajestically so, in his decision between life and death, he somehow ended up at a crumpled heap at the door way of the portal.
Ow. That really hurt. But .. this .. room wasnt shaking? Was it safe? As Vaith struggled to stand, his steps shakily bringing himself into the room, the reaper's good hand tore the tie from his neck to try and wrap it around his shoulder. It required both hands, leaving the injured but moving shoulder in pain as one hand gripped one end of the tie to hold it in place, the other hand moving the tie to make a loose one-man bandage.
One new fact Vaith learned about himself?
He sucked at bandaging.

Israfel didn't really notice anything beyond the portal. HOME. A GATE HOME. That was what the portal was right? Sadly, as he rushed to enter...it wouldn't let him; it was locked. Crying out a screech of anger and frustration his eye glimsped the keypad. A code? Something he needed to get it working? Jack if he knew. He just started inputting possible passwords and codes. '1234' 'password' .... 'jack' 'candlejack' 'motherpumpkincandlejackking' His eyes narrowed. A final code. 'TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL'
He just wanted to go home.
In his attempts to open the portal, across the room, the spectacle of the hologram and it's words went unnoticed.

The building's collapse had been on the brink of Tsetsiliya's mind, but with their enemy's sudden departure, the possibility became a dangerous reality. The shaking had started so suddenly that she looked around as though in a fog, not really comprehending what was happening for a moment as the other students looked panicked. It was only when the ceiling began to collapse upon them and rain furniture and plaster that she finally understood the danger. She heard Belladonna's call to run and run fast, nodding even though the air was too thick with dust and debris for the ghoul to have seen her, and took off in as fast of a run as the situation would allow.
The debris made for tough going, and the poludnica dodged obstructions in the floor and those still falling on her head. All the while she kept thinking of her family, of her friends.. were her friends running as fast as they could? Of course they were, she assured herself, but still doubt was lingering in her mind as she saw vague shapes in the debris dust stumble and fall. Her heart sank, and she wanted to go back, urged herself to go back.. but her legs would not obey. They pushed on their way as though on autopilot, working off of Belladonna's appeal to run and the ghoul's own fear. Somewhere in the dust, familiar grunts came to her ears as she passed, but Tsetsiliya couldn't see where they were coming from. And then.. the noises came no more, buried by the sound of the collapsing building. Her aching shoulders bore the weight of smaller pieces, bumps and bruises but nothing too terrible, and in that she felt a searing guilt. She should have stayed and looked for the others.. she should have made sure they were okay.
It was by the skin of her teeth that Tsetsiliya made it to the stairs and tumbled down the first few thanks to her momentum. She struggled to her feet and continued down until she saw the group huddled at the bottom, next to a large, glowing portal, slowing accordingly. Immediately she picked out three ghouls near the back and allowed herself a moment of relief while waiting for her heart to calm down. The rumbling continued on over their heads, and did not allow for her to feel at ease completely.
"A-Alessa.. Belladonna.. Carry.." Her eyes had scanned the small group upon her late arrival, and while relieved that she had spotted their familiar faces, her heart felt leaden when she noticed the absence of Gabrian and LW. She staggered down the remaining stairs into the main portal room, and looked at the three ghouls with an expression that did not hide how tired and saddened she felt. But it was Alessa she went to first, stalling short of the nagual for a moment and looking upon her hesitantly. Then, in one fell movement, she fell to her knees in front of the crouching ghoul and wrapped her arms around her - the only means she could think of to convey her sympathy. They had all known someone who had died today, but Tsetsiliya wanted Alessa to know that she was grieving too - for Ren, Gabrian, LW, the witch ghoul who was first to perish, and even for Alessa herself, for being without her three closest friends.
The poludnica swallowed the bitter feelings she felt, and the apologies she wanted to spout off like a spigot: how she should have stopped and helped, even though she could not see and could not will her body to stop running. The sick feeling was rising, as well as anger. All the things she should have done, every friend they had lost today.. she wanted to take out on those cloaked bastards, one piece at a time. It was a sensation that felt very new to her, this seething anger, but she was certain she wasn't the only one.

Calder moved over, holding his shoulder and noticed that they were prevented from going to the portal. "OH COME ON!!!" He cried out, feeling rather exhausted with being stopped every which way. "Don't we have it bad enough?" He whined, looking up at what he assumed would be the place the reapers were at. Couldn't this place just cut them a LITTLE slack?
Moving over, he watched Israfel beat words into the keypad over and over again. Nothing was working. Past them, Carry opened a hologram that wasn't just demanding but offered them no clues other than telling them to get out of here. "Well I could have told you that and I'm not a scientist!" He huffed, turning away from the hologram scientist and back to the keypad.
Moving in, he ushered Israfel aside a moment to stab his own attempts in. He wasn't a rocket scientist, but he could at least TRY to save his own life. "Do we have any idea what this code is?" He called back to the others.
He concentrated and then jabbed in a line.
P-O-N-I-E-S.
That had to be it.

Sammy wasn't far behind when Carry revealed the hidden projection, the message, the clue, and generally a mind numbing puzzle that left Sammy leaning on her mace like a cane staring aimlessly at the portal while Israfel and Calder punched at the keypad.
"Secret option E, we smash the hell out of it and pray it works? I'm no good with logic puzzles, we need Malodore or Riley for that kinda crap." Walking over to the puzzle table again she sighed. "Either we figure this out or where going to starve to death in a collapsed lab."
"Also the password isn't Ponies, if it was ponies it would be Pwnies."
She had to at least attempt some humor to make this situation suck a little less right?
