"Looks like people couldn't wait to split up." Watching the two boil dash off into the unknown, not to mention the boil that was missing a few key stitches, that being ALL of them. "I'll be amazed if he can manage to keep his head." was all that could be said about the situation.
He felt quite bad for the one who was patching his seams up, he wasn't done and probably wanted to make sure it was done correctly at that.

As Malodore spoke, Riley came to a slow realization. She looked around her, and blinked. They seemed to be fairly alone. The last student that remained was someone she didn't know yet, so it was easy to escape her notice.

Her shoulders sagged as the effort to maintain decorum visibly shattered, and she drooped. The only thing she really wanted right now was the comfort she could only receive from Malodore's embrace. So, she took it upon herself to wrap her arms around Malodore, and rest her head on it's shoulder.

I'm fine. She lied again, but there was no reason to do so. Within moments, her own body would betray her. Spots upon Malodore's shoulder were stained dark red. Her body shook just slightly.

She needed this. She needed to cry, just this once, before they moved on.

Malodore brought its arms up to encircle her automatically - it wasn't really sure what would be a comforting gesture, but it held her tightly and hoped that was right. "Va bene," it said, quietly. "We are all well. Do not worry."

There was strength in the comforting embrace of love. She pulled from it, and let it dry her tears with the courage it gave. Malodore didn't understand why she was crying, as was clear from it's sweet words, but she didn't mind. She preferred it that way. She lifted her head, and roughly brushed her eyes with one hand, one by one. The blood streak that stained her cheeks was partially washed away by the stroke of her wet hand.

All right. She took a deep breath, and nodded. I'm going to go and get dressed. We should get moving after that.

Yes, there was strength in it's embrace. It was strong enough to keep her from wanting to pull away, despite the fact that she'd just said she was going to go. Her mind bubbled with a weak chuckle, and the laughter healed her aching heart somewhat.

It nodded, slowly - sitting here wasn't going to get them any closer to true safety. "Which direction? I favor the lighthouse, personally - a beacon seems a good choice in all of this fog, even though it seems to have cleared just a little. It also seems a more likely choice for a signal to be located."

It hugged her close again before gently pulling back and releasing her from its embrace.

Just back out slowly Demi, they won't notice and you won't feel like a creeper. It was so awkward to witness such a private scene. It wouldn't be polite to stare. He had to turn his eyes away from what he was seeing and forget it. She seemed like the emotionally strong type and for her to get caught in a moment of weakness by a stranger.... Well it really didn't bode well for him.
Note to self; kick Jericho in the shin for leaving him with them. As soon as he can find him in the fog., its going to happen, once or twice.. maybe five times.

This made for an excellent time to go and look at the newly discovered areas.
maybe he could find less.... personal matters.

Riley reveled in the moment of tightening embrace, then moved a step back once it released her, and slung her backpack around to pull her pants out. It was at this moment, as she fiddled with her backpack, that she realized the student she'd barely noticed was still there. Or at least, he was heading out - but did that mean he saw her cry? Her brows furrowed for a moment, craning her head to get a look at the boil before he disappeared.

Normally, this was around the point where she'd think something equivalent to no one sees Riley cry and lives, but no such thought bubbled into her head. Instead, she began the process of fluffing the wrinkles out of her pants and slipping them on. Once they rested tight against her hips, she unfolded her jacket and put that on as well.

The lighthouse sounds fine. I trust your judgement. Riley slung the backpack around her shoulder again, and took Malodore's hand in her own. She led it out of the tent, getting one last look at the hypnotic movements of the shore before heading down the path towards the lighthouse.

So, how was your boat ride? That was some text you sent me..

Just when you thought she'd forgotten..

"... please, please don't mention that text," Malodore said, weakly - it had kind of hoped the text hadn't been sent properly, since Riley hadn't mentioned it! O cruel false hope!

"Or Steve. Definitely don't mention Steve," it sighed as she led it out of the tent. "Let's go. Yes. Right now."

And not mention Steve on the way. Nope.

Having been found, carried off the beach and comforted things had begun to calm down considerably, and though she'd been shaking fairly violently from shock and chill, her new proximity to the fire had eliminated one issue, and was actually doing a fairly decent job of taking care of the other. So where was the boilfriend now? Off looking for their other friends to assure they were alright, but only after had insisted upon it and spent the better part of an hour reassuring him she'd be safe if he extracted himself from her side. He wasn't really happy about it, but it as hard to argue with her logic, and Yaya could be fairly convincing when she wished to be.

She'd seen Belle and a few others, but those she cared dearest for remained unaccounted for. Junko, West, and Jove were all MIA and their absence was playing havoc with the poor ghouls nerves. She was doing her best to stay optimistic, but there was a niggling since of dread in the pit of her stomach that simply refused to be dislodged. It was most troubling.

So, arms curled around her waist, the djinn huddled close to the calming warmth of the bon fire. Long legs stretched out before her for the sake of her injured ankle. Though it hadn't been found at an odd angle, she was beginning to suspect it was broken and not simply twisted. She'd had sprains before, and though painful they usually tended to ease up after a few hours. This was not.

She was definitely not going anywhere.

So, stuck as she was, she spent her time looking out as far as the fog allowed her, watching the others as they gathered their supplies and went off to figure things out. Something she was in favor of, despite not really liking that she was alone, because the sooner all this mess was sorted, the sooner they could all go home. Home sounded amazing right now.

The fog had been a hassle to deal with, but Jericho managed to make it back to the beach. While there, he gathered up extra things he felt that he needed and as a result he temporarily lost track of his friends. He wanted to try and find them, but at the same time he figured he should keep pressing forth. Lingering at the beach seemed like a bad idea. This fork that had been presented to them all.. the dragon took a moment to consider his options.

The lighthouse struck out to him the most out of the three paths. There had to have been a way to get up there. If so, it'd be a way for him to get an aerial view of the lands without putting a target on himself. It seemed as good of a choice as any.

Slinging the bag over his shoulder, he made his way there.

(time for a re-entry for Smerd and Bee, Nio you STAY AWAY)
He was all for movement into new places, really he was.

But when you forget your only weapon down by the beach. It not the smartest thing to do without a way to protect yourself from reapers who like to play "peek a boo slash" with your body parts. No thank you, didn't want to end up in a similar situation like Humpty Dumpty. Between all the fog and the chaos and the drama, he just wanted to keep his wits about him. I guess it was what school was all about if you stop to think about it.

"There you are my little companion!" He said to the pipe laying there by the fire as if it could reply back to him. It was a sight for sore eyes, at least until he could find a more lethal weapon to use. As it turned out he wasn't alone at the fire as well. How he keeps running into people unaware like this, he'll never know. She seemed to be relaxing by the fire, almost without a care in the world. As if Reapers never fell from the sky and tried to lop their heads off.

Still, she must have her reasons, right? He went to put away his weapon in his pack and gave the ghoul a lopsided smile. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were there, I hope I'm not intruding."

After the battle, West had retrieved his knapsack and bat and picked random a direction to stomp off in. He had no idea where Holly had gotten to, but as long as he was moving forward, he was certain he would find her. He had to be certain about something or he was going to end up beating someone's face in.

A short time later, however, the boil noticed that he was moving closer and closer to the fire that had been set up on the beach instead of back the way he remembered having gone in the first place. He grunted in frustration, the sound quickly escalating into a sort of angry bark. Holly wasn't near any Jackdamned bonfire! West swung his bat toward the ground, temporarily appeased by the arc of sand the weapon flung into the air. Stupid boats. Stupid reapers. Stupid fog! Stupid...

Wait. He recognized those legs. "Yaya?" He took a few more steps around the blazing fire. Yup, Yaya. "Um. Yer leg. Sharra here?" Only then did he notice that someone else was asking the ghoul questions as well. "Or y'gotta new boil?" The taunt was half-hearted at best. Her leg... really didn't look good.

Nyyrikki went wide-eyed at Bella, his black irises all but pitch dark in the fog. Hold... hands? He looked at Lilura and was able to mutter an elegant "Buhh..." of uncertainty and embarrassment before she held out her hand.

Well... She'd made the first move. He checked his hands on his upper arm, being sure there was no wet magical residue, and when he was certain they were clear, he slipped his hand into hers and followed the group down the shore, a little bit of a tingle spiraling up his arm. Just Magic. Right?

((Awkward exit post thanks to Bella.))

Seriously, his fellow students had to stop sneaking up on him like this! Damien's eye twitched from all the sudden arrivals, and this one, this one screamed 'I'm going to annoy the ever lovin' crap out of you'

Well, at least that saved the awkwardness of him asking Yaya for her name.
That ankle didn't look very good. "I guess you can't put much pressure on that leg huh? This Boil's voice was grating on his nerves, but not as much as his choice of words. "What'sit to you, didn't see you here earlier trying to help her out." he barked back at the bloke, glaring him down.

Sure he wasn't here not long either, but he didn't need to know that. He shifted his eyes to focus on the fire, just so he could calm down and not let his emotions get the best of him.

Having given up on her futile scouring of the immediate vicinity the djinn had turned her attention the flicking of the flames before her. Bright eyes fixating on the endless dance. So completely lost in her own thoughts she failed to notice the approach of a boil she'd never seen before. She even startled when he spoke to the pipe he retrieved from the ground not far away from her. Jumping then flinching in pain when she tensed her injured leg. That. Hurt.

She managed a smile when he turned his attention to her, though she was sure the pain shown in her eyes, the hunched set of her shoulders. "No need to apologize." So far as she was aware, the bonfire was open to everyone. "Are you new?" He had to be a student, didn't he? Was that a skull pin?

Then another voice sounded from beside her, a wonderfully familiar voice that had her turning as best she could to look up at the avarice demon as he wandered up on her right, asking about her dearest nergal and even throwing a taunt her way. From him, between them, it couldn't have been further from a jab.

The smile she offered up to him was watery at best and she shook her head in answer to his first question. "No, I sent him out to find you and a few others. I was really worried." The comment about the new boil had her turning to glance at him again and she realized they hadn't exchanged names yet. "Ah, no. I just met him." Then back to West. "Are you ok? You didn't get hurt when your ship wrecked, right? Sharra said a squid got a hold of you.." She had been mortified to learn this.

Of course the tension shooting up suddenly from the newcomer along with that tone but an immediate halt to further inquires to his health. Did they know one another?
