'You've gone red...Lizzy.' Arachne said her friend's name with a faint smile, using the ghouls preferred moniker for the first time they'd met, but it was a time for teasing and Elizabeth didn't roll off the tongue as easily for that. Of course there was every chance that she was just blocking out what had happened before the dance and would bum hard later but for now, she was practising selective amnesia.
'And he stammered..' Well, if she couldn't make it happen for herself, maybe for her friend. She shimmied to Jericho's side and gave him a little nudge before dancing away a few steps.
She carried on dancing, her hands at the small of her back as she lowered down again, sliding back up and flicking her hair, glancing over to where Sin was dancing with another boil, giving her a half-smile, unsure as to whether the ghoul was cross with her or not.

Sin flashed Arachne a smile and mouthed 'He'll be sorry' over Barth's shoulder, obviously referring to Rosc missing out on her incredible dance moves. It was clear that since her date turned out to be not Christof, but a demon, and not just any demon but Barth one of the Lucky 13, she had forgiven Arachne's meddling. Besides she understood where it had come from, it wasn't personal, it was jealousy. She had no idea what Rosc was thinking bidding on her in the first place, maybe her kiss had fried his brain.

(( As I'm heading offline for probably the night, I'll just do another quick posty XD ))
Arachne had twirled again, her hands moving through her hair and then at her side, turning to face Sin and catching the movement, the mouthed words. A little shadow passed across her face, quick and barely noticeable, then she nodded at the ghoul, her head jutting up with demon pride as she carried on dancing up a storm, weaving in and out of the couples.

ROLLING FOR ROUND 2
Chuppi's face burned a bit dark green as Tybalt agreed to actually dance with her at the dance (who would have ever thought) and she found it funny that, do to their height differences, they couldn't dance much like the other couples. Instead the pair were just holding hands the way an older sibling would dance with their younger sibling, and she looked to the side for a bit before thinking on what to do. Tybalt seemed nervous and. . .well. . . Chuppi wanted him to have fun. She knew a bit about dancing, seeing as she'd been watching videos on the skeevee for a while about it, and when the music picked up she gave her partner an unusually mischievous grin. Close by her where several others, most noticable Collette and her partner, and Chuppi wanted to show them that she could dance just as well as them and that girl Archane, who had done a wonderful move.
"Just...follow me lead, and do not try to squirm."
The chupacabra was glad she was wearing a skirt and a strapless dress, for with one strong motion she hoisted Tybalt into the air and spun him around, much in the style of scream dance (swing dance). It was far easier for her to lift him, what with her strength and him being a ghost, but she wondered if this was for the best.
At least she was having fun as she spun him around and continued to lead the dance.

(( ROUND 2 ))
"Really?" she asked hopefully, the blush from before fading none. "Thank you." She was a natural? Colette started to feel a little better about this dancing thing, even if Calder was the one basically leading her.
All seemed to be going well so far, and Colette started to feel more confident as names other than her and Calder's were called. When her dancing experience was brought up, she replied with a simple, "Mhm.." and a little sadly, in fact. She didn't really know what it was, but no one ever had asked her, and she usually saw it as just being uninteresting or not scary enough. As just a Reaper that usually kept to herself and her studies, it made sense to her. She had been making friends lately though, maybe things were changing; she actually had a date for once, but being so close to someone still felt new and odd. Returning to focus, Colette added, "We don't have a lot of family get-togethers either.. My parents work a lot, plus I guess it's not really their thing."
The announcement of the second round took her mind away from her sad little explanation, and Colette was surprised. Smiling, she said, "Hey, we made it." So far so good!
Colette quickly glanced at the remaining couples and saw only a few students she knew. Christof, who she was still not comfortable with, and his date and then Barth with his. She didn't know he would be here, but it was good. Maybe her and Calder could visit them after. Looking at his date though, it distracted her. The ghoul was a perfect balance of scary and beauty, and Colette thought she danced excellently. Why couldn't she be like that?
Whispering to Clader as they danced, Colette said, "I see someone I know," and then much louder called out in the Sloth Demon's direction, "Barth!" in an attempt to get her friend's attention. She wasn't paying much attention to her dancing though and her foot planted right onto Calder's hoof. Shouting so closely combined with that probably wasn't a great combination.

ROUND 2
Sepheran smiled softly as he slowly guided Tess across the stage to the right. He really didn't care about placing in the contest, he just wanted Tess to have a good time. Hearing her ask about whether it came naturally to him or not made him chuckle lightheartedly, "Actually back home I used to use dancing as a form to better get used to relying on some of my other senses. I can't see well but I can hear vibrations made from others and once I get better I'll be able to not only just focus on one sense like hearing but I'll be able to focus on a few at a time. For now though Liannan warns me if I do get too close and don't notice," Sepheran explained. "It still took a lot of practice though," he added gently spinning and twirling Maritess around.
A familiar voice did meet his ears as he danced with Tess. It had been Lizzy with her dance partner. Maybe if he moved towards them Tess would feel a bit more at ease as well. Pulling her around gently Sepheran moved until he was nearby, however it seemed Lizzy was already interacting with another. Dancing patiently he waited until the other left before pulling Tess closer. "Hey Tess, look Lizzy's out here too," Sepheran said. "Do you want to say hello?" he asked curiously know the two were friends.

Did Arachne did what she just did?
Lizzy stiffened slightly, looking on as the Spiderkin danced away. Her grip on Jericho's hand tightened as she looked up at him, standing on tiptoes on top of her heels as she frowned, "Sorryshe'susuallylessanimatedthanthat." Of course, she was referring to the Demoness who just... Nudged the dragon on his side. In a suggestive manner. If not for the fact that she was generally uncomfortable with hugging males, she would had pulled an Amrita and clung onto him for comfort (and to hide).
It was getting tempting though. She had been 'mothering' others unconsciously so much so that she had yet to find someone to 'mother' her... Not that Jericho was the best candidate.
"I wonder if someone spiked the punch again..." She muttered, mostly to distract herself, "She's usually so against love... And love-related stuff..." She would be happier at her friend's change of heart if not for the fact that it caused her face to be a semi-permanent shade of red.
There goes her 'not be angry or flustered on Scarentines' Day' plan.

OK. They were kind of sort of, maybe just a teensy, tiny, itty-bitty bit late. No. No wait, they were really late. The dance contest had started! Well, that was what one gets when one (namely Belladonna) takes too much time curling her already curly hair and pinning it just so and then rolling all the cat hair off her dress (Hecate, Binx was shedding like crazy right now!) because really, black cat hair does NOT look good on a pink dress. Which was what she was wearing simply because it was Scarentine's Day and that was the best excuse all year for wearing a pink dress. Sure, it had its even doses of black, but it was predominantly pink. But the thing she had been worried most about was currently letting her cling to his arm.
"I am so, so, SO sorry I made us late Daisuke!" The witch whimpered to him, trying not to tug him along and instead be led into the creepateria. It was just so hard because she was excited! He looked so handsome and this would be so much fun and he had asked her and just FLAILY HANDS OF GLEE. That would be inappropriate (or at least ridiculous) so instead Belladonna kept both hands firmly clutching Daisuke's arm. Poor wisp, hopefully she didn't hurt him! He did look really handsome...

Round 2
He had been trying to be sweet, and in fact, she was doing well. Round 1 had done and they were still on the dance floor in once piece, giving Calder time to look out and check to see if Christof made it. When it seemed he had, not to mention the last lingering moves from Morrigain, he could only smile and discretely, so as not to have Colette notice, gave him a thumbs up. The boil was doing better than well and was getting a nice little tango for his efforts.
It was then, with another loud announcement, that they started Round 2, and Calder caught the fall from Morrigan from the corner of his eye, before breaking into a smile. Yeah, Christof could not say that this was something he shouldn't have done after all of this.
Smiling, he returned to his own partner, having still no clues as to why she wasn't with anyone. Still, she was sweet in that quiet, bashful way, and he was just about to tell her she was doing well when she noticed someone. Turning his own attention over, he noticed Barth was well, and then the girl called out to him. If the kelpie wasn't already distracted with all of that, a hard heel to his already tender ankle, not the best point to hit any horse creature, destroyed any balance he had. A hard whinny came out as he then slipped on his own feet, loosing balance and brought the girl onto of him.
Seemed they were out, and he knew it before he even hit the ground.

Holly opened her mouth to reply but it seemed that the other two were going to go and dance. Awesome. He didn't get any comments on how she was dressed but she got to make fun of him. "Gonna dance West?"
She waved Tset and West off. "I'm sorry Tset that you have to have a bad dancing partner but I'm sure you will do fine!" Holly wasn't here to make fun of the other ghoul, she was adorable after all but West was free game to make fun of.

ROLLING FOR ROUND 2
Tybalt was so concerned with where his feet were going, that he nearly missed the mischievous grin from the little Chupacabra; which for some strange reason made him feel nervous again--more so than before.
"E-eh w-what? What are you going to---" Unfortunately his words were cut off as Chuppi hoisted him up into the air and began to spin him around; making him feel like one of those rag dolls. He had no idea Chuppi was this strong! Well, he knew she was stronger than she looked, but wow! He must have been really underestimating her strength! That aside... As of that moment, he was also now very thankful that he was a ghost. If he was anything other than a ghost he might have very well just have puked from being spun around one too many times!
"Awahwahwah---st-stop!" It wasn't because he was scared---okay maybe a little, but when he closed his eyes it wasn't as bad! But that wasn't the reason! No. It was mostly because he had a strange hunch that something bad was about to happen and unfortunately for him, the bad ones usually always came true.
And it did. They must have been on the sixth spin when he felt the strange sensation of soaring through the air, before he opened his eyes to see what was going on, only to find that he really WAS flying. OH JACK! When did this happen!?

Having been late to going to the scarentine party, it seemed Bella was panicking and at least trying to be subtle about it, until they got there and she was shouting apologies. The wisp couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head gently.
"Bella, theres no need to apologize, Theres nothing to apologize for." He spoke softly trying to calm her. "You look beautiful" With a warm smile, he placed his palm over her hand and gave it a light squeeze. She looked beautiful all the time.
"It wouldn't of mattered if we had missed it completely, as long as we got to spend time together." He kept his gaze on her for a short while then let his blues reach the familiar faces in the room and the dance contest that was going on around them.
They had really done a great job decorating the place.

“Come on, come on!” A long-legged ghoul muttered mid-sprint, heels landing expertly against the sidewalk, the hem of an already short dress lifted to allow a wider stride. She had never, ever taken so long to get ready in ALL OF HER LIFE. Blue, silky hair flowing to one side wrapped by a black pearl and skull pin headpiece—but it wasn’t even her locks that kept the lemur in her dorm room…it was the outfit itself. She was very fond of staying fashionable, and would utilize every minute that could be sparred to perfect what sense of it she had on any other day…but tonight was important. The dress she picked out had to be suited for such and occasion!
And so the only logical thing to do was go shopping…only hours before the party.
The cafeteria lights shone brightly against a dark, yet beautiful night and even from her distance the student could hear a feint thrumming of music! It was catchy, however she was on a mission and tried desperately not to think about anything but arriving to her destination. It wasn’t too long after that, when the chatter of what looked like a million other kids all but overpowered the beats being played, that Natalia took in a long breath, dropped her dress to its appropriate length, and gradually settled into a speedy walk.
With orange eyes scanning the heads and tails that could be seen, her extended height offering a much better vantage point than most would be able to work with, Natalia pushed her way through the crowds and slipped in through the party doors. She really hoped her date(s) had not come to any conclusions just yet; they were both ghouls and could hopefully relate (if not understand) to her tardiness. Lifting one hand to her lips and cupping it slightly, Natalia was in the middle of calling out for Whisper…when the hellhound’s face parted the sea of the Scarentine Party.
She looked…beautiful. The lemur looked shell shocked in her approach, lips forming a pleasant smile only when the other ghoul was directly in front of her. “Wow…” She started, everything and everyone else vanishing for a split second.
“You are…something aren’t you?” When the music strummed loudly in her ear Natalia swayed in response, offering her arm and one of the two bouquets of flowers she brought along with her, to the hellhound. "Shall we?"

Dark Fire Angel Morton was not used to going to parties. He was also not very used to wearing more formal wear, and he'd actually required help from Coralie to set his clothes straight once or twice before reaching the ballroom, "On a scale of one to ten, just how ridiculous does this look on me?" he asked the ghoul whom was, amusingly enough, hanging onto his arm, "I never understood clothes... I only wear them because they look cool usually," but then again, being skeletal, Morton had very little need for clothes. Seeing a how the whole night (technically the whole day, but he was going step by itty bitty step here) was meant to be spent doing whatever he wanted... the gargoyle set himself to the task of seeking out things to do. Eating was out of the question (for him anyhow - he'd offer her food later), since well, he didn't want to ruin the clothes; he had very little need for food. Drinks were just about the same and- Waitaminute... those couples were dancing, weren't they? That was not only within the realm of plausibilities, but it was also something he'd been wanting to do. As such, he turned to look at Cora, a silly grin plastered on his face, "How about we show them how it's really done?" and by 'showing them how it was really done' he meant making a general fool out of themselves since he er... had no idea how to dance, whatsoever! Morton and Coralie will be dancing like we've never danced before! Round 1!Coralie had done what she could to help Morton, after putting on her own dress and making sure Wilfred was securely shut up on her room, but there was really only so much you could do to make formal clothes look...good on someone who didn't have typical body proportions. At least the baggy look seemed normal in is casual clothes. She hadn't seemed to mind, though. She preferred things to be a bit different from the expected and, knowing Morton, tonight was probably going to be whatever he decided for them to do on a whim; which was more than fine by her.
She raised her eyebrows for a moment, passing him a sideways glance from where she stood arm in arm with him. For a moment she pursed her lips and then said, "I'll be honest, probably around a seven, but," she smiled knowingly, "I like it."
When she saw all the other couples dancing she had a feeling she knew what he'd suggest. It was, after all, on his very tiny list of things he had actually forethought about doing. So when he suggested it, she was ready, not that she would have refused him anyway; she had agreed to do whatever he wanted for the day. "Sounds like a plan," she said with one of her crocked smiles that bordered on a grin. She slipped out from his arm and gave a mock curtsy, despite the length of her skirt, "I do believe the boil leads. It's probably a good thing you can't feel too much." This was in reference to the fact that she predicted stepping on his toes. He could handle it, so she'd do her very best, despite the...er, possible mishaps.

Round 1!
Morton pulled slightly on his clothes as Coralie spoke, "Yeah well... I was sorta expecting you to answer with a three or two, so I guess that a seven ain't all that bad," after a beat or two of trying to rearrange his clothes, he let out a frustrated sound and reached up with a clawed hand, loosening his tie and tugging a couple of buttons open of his shirt. He was just so used to baggy, opened clothes that this was entirely uncomfortable.
"They do?" he blinked and brought up a claw to his mouth, as if pondering something, then smirked at her and tugged at her wrist, "Got an idea then. Watch this," technically, he needn't have told her to watch anything, seeing as how she was going to be dancing with him, but alas, it was the thought that counted, right. His green gaze switched from couple to couple and then after a few beats, he began to lead the dance. The style was all over the place, quite frankly, but that was mostly due to the fact he was taking hints and pointers from the couples around them.
It didn't exactly look bad. It was just... different. He'd not worn shoes to the ball, yet despite that, it didn't quite seem to matter to him when Cora messed up; as she'd mentioned, he barely even felt it. By the end of the extravagant dance, he felt the poor ghoul trip over his foot, which he'd placed in a bed position during a twirl, but rather than give up on the stop, Morton's wing shot out and he just barely managed to catch her. In fact, in the process, they'd managed to execute a rather... strange, yet elaborate dip. His face was mere inches from the reaper's as he grinned, "See? Wasn't that bad, was it?" that said, he straightened himself up and tugged her to her feet.
