"Seeing as Shadow knows where the base IS, I suggest he lead. We'll all follow in some way, whether it's running, flying, whatever." Sonic said.
Shadow nodded once. He turned and ran down the street. With his odd shoes, that turned into some kind of skating.
"God I want those shoes!" Sonic sped after him, just as fast only not skating.
Knuckles went after Sonic. He wasn't as fast, but it was enough to keep Sonic in sight.
Tails got into his Tornado, and made it jump. In midair, it changed to a plane. He looked down at Justin and Rouge. "Coming?" he called, smiling.
"Now we'll see if that heavy suit can stay flying." Rouge said, looking at Justin. Then she spread her wings, and flew up into the air. She went after Knuckles, Sonic, and Shadow.

Justin smirked behind his metal shell, activating his wings and thrusters again. He caught up with Rouge, pulling a few spins in the air just for fun. He then increased his speed until he was even with Sonic and Shadow. "Tails, you're a freakin' genius!" He yelled out to the young inventor.

Tails laughed, and shot after him like a bullet, before slowing down a little. Now he was alongside Rouge.
"Hmph." Rouge sped up her flying. She glanced at Tails before returning her gaze to ahead of her. "You know, I think you made that suit too good!"
"Hey Shadow, how come they don't recognize you as one of the people who fought against them?" Sonic called to Shadow. They were neck and neck.
"I've convinced them that I had a change of mind." Shadow replied.

Justin was SOOO enjoying the whole flying thing. The spins made him kinda dizzy, but the rush was worth it. He was wondering when they would get there...and just how long would the suit stay airborne, anyway?

They had now left Soleana.
Shadow pointed at a tree not far from them. "There." He turned his feet sideways, and lost speed, until he was complete still. Then he walked up to the tree and placed his hand on it, feeling around for something.
Sonic skidded to a stop, on his heels. He followed Shadow, and raised his eyebrows. "A tree? Their base is a TREE?"
Knuckles' running slowed to a jog, and then a walk. He went over to them. "Why're we stopping? Sonic need to take a piss?"
"Hey, I can hold my waste quite well, thank you very much. Shadow claims this is their base."
Rouge flapped her wings a bit, to land. "Does Sonic have to go to the bathroom or what?"
"Will you shut up about my bladder?!"
Tails pushed a button and his plane had a landing foot on it. He landed, and hopped out. "Uhhmmm....?"
"This isn't the base, you idiots. It's hidden. This is the lookout." Shadow told them, and pressed a knobby thing on the tree with his finger. Bark slid away and a voicebox was there. "Who are you and what is your business?" said a voice from it, rather harshly.
"Shadow The Hedgehog, reporting to headquarters." Shadow replied coolly.

Justin landed on his feet in a skidding fashion, leaving a torn up trail in the ground. He saw the voice box in the tree, which was actually kinda cool.

"Welcome back, Shadow. Enter." The voicebox vanished, and a large rock nearby slid aside, revealing stairs. He looked at them. "You'll have to sneak in behind me. They kill intruders on sight." He descended the staircase.
Knuckles followed.
Rouge stopped at the top of them, glancing back at Tails and Justin. "Coming?"
"We'll be there in a sec'."
Rouge nodded, and went down.
Tails looked at Justin. "You remember that button which makes the bottom of your metal shoes soft and quiet?" he said.

Justin nodded, hitting the button on his boots. He then quietly followed the others, eager to start fighting, but he kept himself calm.

Tails followed.
They walked down the lit-up stairway, and the opening above them slid close. At the end was a doorway, which led into a large hallway with rooms and more passages. Shadow led them down a certain passage, that was luckily deserted, to a kind of locker room.
"You'll need disquises." He said, opening a locker and taking out some black uniforms. "Justin'll be able to blend in as another robot, and Tails will have to act as a pet fox. The rest of you are new agents, if anyone asks."
Knuckles, Rouge, Sonic, and Tails nodded(although he looked reluctant about being a pet).
"But they're just clothes. Won't they be able to tell the difference?" Knuckles asked.
"In this place, you only need to wear an outfit with their logo on it and you're good."
Knuckles, Rouge, and Sonic went to the places where you could dress, while Tails took off his gloves and shoes. Now he just looked like a large fox.

Justin didn't have a problem with this plan. All he had to do was keep silent. That, and avoid showing emotions. Shouldn't be too hard, since the helmet hid his entire head.

They came out.
Sonic adjusted his sunglasses, one hand in his pocket, grinning. "All right, let's do this thing."
Rouge finished zipping up her shirt. "How do I look?"
"Beautiful, as usual." Knuckles told her.
Shadow glanced out the door. "Someone's coming. Get into character."
Tails got on all fours and rubbed against Rouge's legs.
A woman in an outfit similar to Rouge's walked in. "Shadow, I-" She stopped, noticing the others. "Who are these?"
"New agents." Shadow said.
"Rogue." said Rouge, rearanging the letters in her name a bit.
"Knux." said Knuckles.
"Supreme." Sonic said, giving a thumbs up.
Tails rolled his eyes at Sonic, then rolled onto his back, looking at the woman with curious eyes.
She looked at Tails. "And this?"
"Prowler. Trained fox." Sonic said.

Justin silently looked at the woman who showed up. He had to keep up the robot act, or else things would go downhill.

"Yes....well.....as I was saying." She slowly looked back at Shadow. "I need that report on the mutants."
"Not much to tell." Shadow glanced at them a second before returning his gaze on the woman. "They're weak and can easily be taken down. Simple as that. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to show these newbies around." He left, motioning for the others to follow.
The woman left as well.
Rouge looked at the others, hands on her hips. "He's good." she commented, before going out.
"Still, he doesn't have to insult us." Sonic said, putting his other hand into his pocket too and departing.
"He's just staying in character." Knuckles said, and followed them.

Justin continued to follow Shadow and the others. He was actually happy that he was the "robot" of the group. None of these people would expect one of their machines to turn on them. Basically, his suit was the safest disguise possible here.

Shadow led them up some stairs. Down the hall, two robots were guarding a door which had about a millions locks.
One held up it's hand as Shadow and the others approached. "Halt. What is your business in the TOME prisons?" it asked in a mechanical voice.
"I need to get in to see the prisoner in cell 239. The password is renegade."
The cyborg nodded, and turned, pressing buttons into a device in the wall. The locks on the door slid aside, and it opened. Shadow looked back at them, then walked through the door. They followed.
