The votes are in and the new topic is up. This Round Best/Worst Caviler/Paladin/Great Knight/Etc. Lord characters like Sigurd and Celice do not count here. I really ask you to tell me which game you are talking about for the character here.
Now time for me to go back to Marvel vs Capcom 3

Best: I am not quite sure here. For me, I'm gonna go with Sain. He's had the best stats as a cavalier that I have ever used, and of course, who doesn't like a character that has some good supports?
Worst: Marcus in FE6. I know there are some other cases I could toss out there, but overall, I didn't use him. Having a prepromote at the very beginning wasn't appealing to me

Best: Seth. Kickass Paladin.
Worst: Zealot. Worse than both Marcus' combined. At least the Marcuses had some uses in blocking enemies or something.

I assume it's best Social/Pally only, so I'm going to save my "Master Knight rant" for another day and go with a simple pair.
Best: Aless (FE4): Mistoltin says hi.
Worst: Jeigan (FE1): He IS the founding Father of the Jeigan archetype, so it's only fair to give him the worst for cursing 75% of FE's pre-promotes.

Best: Seth
Worst: um... Jeigan (FE11) Fiona
On my iPod right now, so I'll expand on this later.

Jeigan? At least Jeigan's useful in the early going...Zealot is only useful for taking a few hits (which he can't take many of) in the chapter he is recruited in.
Zealot's only other use is recruiting Juno, and even then that's not much use considering Juno is likely the weakest Pegasus Knight I know (though I might be forgetting some Pegasus Knights in FE1...meh).

Zealot's only other use is recruiting Juno, and even then that's not much use considering Juno is likely the weakest Pegasus Knight I know (though I might be forgetting some Pegasus Knights in FE1...meh). For the sake of arguing, I'm going to throw my original reason away why I picked Jeigan (1: Founding Father of the Jeigan archetype 2: the enemy AI in FE1 ALWAYS went for Marth even if Gordon had 1 HP and was beside Marth so all you need to do to break the game in FE1 was cap Marth's Def) and point out that FE11 Sheeda (assuming that's the only version you played) gets the Wing Spear that pretty much take care of 90% of mounted and armoured units, Marth uses swords and for the first few chapters 90% of enemy units are axe users, and Jeigan's Silver Spear doesn't really compute with the situation (save H5 mode) and Zealot, at least he comes when there is variety of enemies to take on and not to mention: Zealot is needed for something and that should be enough reason to say he's better than Jeigan. Jeigan on the other hand.. unless we're doing an H5 mode, he really isn't needed with all the great units you get in Ch.1 and all the extra EXP you gain in the Prologue if you do that sort of thing. Also: Look at their bases: Zealot's Hp and Str vs Jeigan's Hp and Str- ouch Jeigan and being able to use an Axe in Zealot's case >>>>> not being able to use one in Jeigan's.

Well, I also thought of it like this - at most, you'll use Zealot twice IF you're going to level up Pegasus Knights instead of nomads. Otherwise, you'll use him once. On hard mode, I had a difficult time keeping Zealot and Treck alive until I could recruit them - meaning neutral paladin Zealot pretends he's actually useful and goes charging into a group of units, always getting smoked when doing so. Jeigan in Shadow Dragon (and at least a bit of FE1 despite what differences there may be) has more usage as he is one of the starting units you get. Just use him right for a bit and then either throw him away or keep him as a meatshield a bit longer. Either way, you always end up using Jeigan more and he is more useful. If you're going to up Zealot's value because of how he can simply recruit a (bad) Pegasus Knight late in the game, then I suppose that's another matter. Still...its not like he gets any combat action in that chapter, provided he's so weak.

On hard mode, you'll probably want to use lots of pre-promotes to help meat shield out all the enemies anyway if we're going to talk about HM, Zealot's ability to equip three weapons to dominate the situation really does speak for itself as well as not having to eat a promotion item which are MUCH harder to find in FE6 than FE11. Jeigan on the other hand, has an "A" in what he needs less in the hardest chapters (yes, the first few chapters are actually the hardest in the game in H5 FE11), but also will probably get his a** kicked five chapters (or even four- forging in FE11 says hi compared to none in FE6) later when Zaggaro and Wolf join, so availability really doesn't matter in the face of getting broken units ASAP.

Hey guys no offense meant to either of you but could you have this conversation somewhere else? This is a spot where we say who we believe is the best/worst unit. If we want to delve further into that, could you please take it somewhere else?

Best: Kyle Worst: Jeigan (FE11) I liked using Kyle in 8, mainly because I find him to be way too useful. No matter what path I choose for him, He will always kill everything in his path.
I think the worst speaks for itself.

Alright, although to be honest, I sort of figured that Best/Worst in the series threads are supposed to encourage this kind of discussion ( ie:), but don't wanna annoy I guess.

I thought we were encouraged to have these kinds of conversations, unless they're massive text walls...(Lara convo, anyone?)
