Luciel "Yasei" BleakwoodThe taste of fetid flesh met her tongue as she buried her eager maw into it's slimy flesh. The creature was massive, and it's shrieks were equally as sizable. But the large, muscular feline bore it down to the earth with all that she had. Blood slowly flowed from the shallow wounds upon her paws, and the single small bite wound that cursed her left wing, a few feathers clumped together with the dried crimson.
The arrow flew over her head, and her ears thrust themselves backward, curling against her large head, as if to try to avoid it's tip this time. Yet still, she pinned it against the grass, allowing her entire body to press it there, holding it still for those before her to finish it's life. As the arrow struck it's forehead, her ears wished they hadn't been so close, as it shrieked wildly, writhing below her claws. She raked and rended it's flesh open, making stab wounds into gaping, deep slashes. Her eyes, golden and gleaming with devilish intent, seized the sight of the wound upon it's forehead.
Flowers and vines encompassed it's rotted carapace, and she pulled her maw away from their growths, as it seemed to be blinded. She spent no time digging her maw back into it's throat, as if in an instinct to choke out her prey. The Feline's wings flapped against the beast, holding it down further.
Rendus yelled, and her eyes only rolled within her large head to look at him. Her tail flicked with irritation, as she roared angrily against the beast's flesh, as if to instruct Rendus to keep at his target, not at her. They could catch up once it was dead..

~+~Aura~+~ Aura walked through the tall grass, keeping her eyes head, never once looking over at her companion. Her ears were lowered and her tail swished back and forth. It felt as though she has been walking for ages and there isn't any sign of a village in sight. Aura stopped in her tracks and sat down on the ground. "Neh..my feel hurt.." she mumbled and let out a heavy sigh. She wasn't use to the work of having a body all herself to take care of. Her body and mind were starting to grow tired. She wasn't use to this at all. She looked down at her bare feet, now covered with dirt. She closed her eyes as she felt a soft breeze rolling though the grass. It seemed to help her a bit her raise her spirits a bit. Her ears rose from their current position and her tail rested on the ground.
Suddenly the wind change direction and her sensitive nose picked up a horrible scent. Her eyes widened and she quickly covered it. "What is that?!" she said as she slowly started started to get on back onto her feet. Then she felt something wrap around her leg and yank her bad back down on to the ground. She found her self being dragged through the grass so quickly that she really had no idea what was going on. She looked down to find an tentacle looking thing wrapped tightly around her leg causing pain to shoot up it. she desperately tried to get kick at it to get free but it only tightened around her.
Aura looked up from her leg and her eyes wide as she slid towards a large deformed creature that seemed to be patched and sewn together. It legs were arms of humans and its head large to match a mouth with many sharp teeth. Several long tentacles moved came from its back and laid on the ground next to its side. Suddenly they slithered toward her grabbing at her arms and her free leg.. she let out a cry and her white flame shot up at it burning off one of the limbs going for her. She rolled over and dug her nails into he dirt trying her best to slow to stop herself from getting any closer to the thing. She had never felt so much fear before and it quickly spread throughout her body.

Orpheus kept walking with Aura, nothing was said for a great while and she never looked at him. But out here, he knew she would get herself in some kind of danger somehow. She was new to being on her own, even if she thought she could take care of herself, she was not used to being alone..yet alone having to take care of herself. "I could carry you." He said with a laugh looking over to her then away. He knew she would come back with a remark. But instead she was quiet until she said whats this and her white flame shot out. Orpheus quickly turned and saw her being pulled into the grass. He noticed the fear in her face, it was natural not acted. She was in trouble and Orpheus knew it. He was right, she'd get herself into some kind of trouble. " s**t." he said lightly as a rift opened up below him and he fell into it. Another rift showed up directly under a spot where the tentacle was. It was directly in the path Aura was being pulled. But before Aura could go any further Orpheus shot out of the rift unleashing a upward slash attack on the tentacle cutting it away from pulling her any further.
Orpheus turned to see her still dug into the ground it seems. "Its ok, I got it...are you ok?" he asked but did not wait for a reply. Instead he twirled his sword until the blade was over his head, held with both hands. The tip was pointed at the creature with the giant maw, and the blade was pointed to the sky. His arms were bent as well as his legs. He was in a striking stance.

~+~Aura~+~ Aura felt the tugging on her leg stop and then she heard Orpheus's voice. She slowly turned around and stared at up at him but he was already turned away from her and towards the monster. She quickly got on to her feet and took several step back. She remembered Beatrix running into creatures like these before but seeing them with her own eyes were something completely different. Aura felt her body shake uncontrollably and she couldn't seem to find her voice. Whats wrong with me? she thought. Why do I feel like this?! She glanced down at her clothing and found the soft white fabric to be stained with green and torn in several places. She noticed the red around her leg where the monster had gripped her and knew a bruise would probably form after while. She could have prevented it from happening but she felt useless now. Why was she so afraid? She had the power to burn it away but she couldn't bring herself to summon it for some odd reason.
Auras ears perked up when she heard heavy steps towards them. The monster growled at Orpheus and started to moved through the grass towards him snapping his giant maw at him. The tentacles on its back whipped and slashed at the white haired opponent and a deep growl escaped its throat. Auras took another step back only tripping on stick hidden in the grass and stared at the scene before her.

Orpheus Never flinched as the creature rushed toward him. His sword still ready. One of his rifts opened up behind him, but instead of him taking a step backward, the rift started to move toward him. The black space surrounded by a crimson slowly turned into some sort of mist it seemed. A black mist with a crimson hue. It continued to move forward till it entered Orpheus's body. The moment the creatures jaws were close enough that it seemed he couldn't dodge, The mist exploded out his body but stopped then sucked inward, taking him with it. In that instant, Orpheus was gone. When The creatures teeth sunk into the ground, The crimson black mist showed up above the creature with his sword held back, as if he was about to throw it. Without hesitation, Orpheus's cocked back arm thrusted forward as letting go of his sword. Spinning in mid air, the sword sunk into it's target in the back of the neck, making the creature howl in pain. Orpheus then cocked back his arm as if he was going to throw a punch. But as he floated there, he kept his arm and fist back in that position for a moment. His arm started so shake a bit as a small aria around his fist seemed to blur out around it. The same thing happened to his other fist as it was held out in a slight defensive manner. He then unleashed his fist in a punch then his other had punched. He then spun and put out his hand and let out a back fisted punch. Each one sent out a barely visible kinetic blast at the creature's head where the sword stuck into its flesh. Each hit not only forced the creature down, but the sword to go deeper. Orpheus then let out a side kick, then twirled and twisted his body in mid air letting out a tornado kick, but downward, aiming for the same spot. The last kick sent out a huge kinetic blast, sending the creature all the way to the ground and the sword to go the rest of the way through the creature's jaw and into the ground. For a few seconds, the creature was pinned to the ground with his blade. Orpheus smirked then looked over to Aura. He noticed her look, and what she was screaming in the inside of her head. Obviously she wasn't used to her own fear. Always seeing Beatrix in some kind of fear or sorrow, but never actually feeling it for herself. She had no Idea what it was really like. " It's called fear darling....your going to have to get used to it." he said looking back at the creature as it roared and lifted up with all its might. This caused the sword to rip out of the bottom of the creature's neck letting out blood everywhere. The sword was still in the ground but there was a big hole in the creature from where it traveled though. Once again the mist sucked him in, but then made him reappear closer to the creature. He let out a few kinetic hits at the then vanished again. He appeared behind the creature, but just as he was about to unleash another surprise attack, a tenticle from the creature quickly swiped him across the face sending him flying toward Aura, hitting the ground and sliding abit before he moved his body and rolled to his feet, sliding the rest of the way in a kneeled position only to stop just infront of Aura. "Hey, I have a way to kill this thing...I'm going to go for my sword...the moment I grab my sword I want you to send a blast of your white fire above the creature... Can you do that?" He asked Aura only looking over his shoulder for a moment at her.

~+~Aura~+~ Aura watched in amazement as Orpheus fought the creature and yet she was still paralyzed by the fear that still ran through her body. When Orpheus told her that she was experiencing fear she quickly shook her head. No. You're wrong! I'm not afraid! I can't be afraid! I fear nothing. She felt insulted now and it angered her. All the times that Beatrix escaped so that she wouldn't feel pain or fear, Aura had to be the one to take it. She allowed Beatrix to escape and stood in her place to protect her rather than letting her break. She had to be the strong one and now for some reason she feared being erased just like she had feared being forgotten in Beatrix's mind. Now if this body was destroyed she would die and there would be no hope of coming back. She stared up at the monster with her large green eyes and her ears lowered. No. I can't let this get to me. I won't let that happen.
She snapped out of her thoughts and focused on Orpheus who was now in front of her. "Of course I can." she snapped at him. It was a simple task for her to do and she felt as though she needed to prove him wrong. Aura stood up on her feel, ignoring the pain from behind dragged by the monster. As soon as Orpheus grabbed his sword she focused her energy and her white flame up above the creature just as he had asked her to do. I'll show him. I'm not scared.

Orpheus blurred over to his sword then jumped straight into the fires path, he brought around his sword and swung it though. At the same time, Orpheus twisted his handle and the blade roared to life, sucking in the white flame. He twisted it around and above his body and started falling down to the creature. The sword was surrounded by the withe flame as it was lifted above his head. Coming down full force, Orpheus cut through the creature like a hot knife though butter. As it cut it actually started to incinerate the creature to ash. The power of her flame being harnessed though his sword. Although, he was having a hard time being this close to her flame. As he landed, the sword sunk into the ground and lost it's white fire. There was only a bit of the creature left screaming and howling in pain, and that part was it's head. Orpheus slowly walked up to it and placed one hand on it's head and closed his eyes. He was delving into it's mind, going as deep as he could but, all he saw was a dark vision of a woman, sadistic looking. But it didn't give much away. Orpheus figured this was the creator of the the creatures as it was not attacking the woman. But he also felt the pain of the creature, the hunger...the want to kill. He quickly opened his eyes and turned, walking away from the creature. Before he was away from it entirely, he turned and thrusted at the creatures last remaining part. He slid several feet before his sword sunk into the creature. The monsters let out a slight roar of pain, then the eyes rolled back just before he started to seem like melt into a sloppy mess of goo. He turned back toward aura and walked over to her. " You did good...." he said simply then turned back toward the now dead remains of the creature.

~+~Aura~+~ Aura watched in amazement as he used her flame against the creature but it confused her when he placed his hand on the side of the creatures head. What was he doing? After a moment he ended the fight with his blade, killing the creature. She looked out at the remains for a few moments and placed her hand over hear chest. she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Was this really fear? She glanced over at Orpheus as spoke to her. "Of course I did good. It wasn't a hard task to do." she said and crossed her arms. "And I wasn't afraid." she snapped. "I can't be afraid. I..I was just caught off guard. I don't want to hear it again." Aura was determined to be prepared next time. She wasn't going to let this silly emotion paralyze her again. She stepped over the remains of the creature and started walking on again. She wanted to get out of the area. The smell of the creature bothered her. What ever it was, she was rather glad it was dead and she hoped that she didn't run into another one anytime soon.
She didn't look back to see if Orpheus was still following her. I could have taken care of that myself. Though deep down she knew it was just lie. She was actually thankful that he was there to save her but she wouldn't dare express that. Suddenly she felt a pain in he stomach and she place her hand over it. A soft growl could be heard and her face turned a slight red. It make her feel slightly sick. Great... Now I have to deal with body problems. She thought. Aura was glad to have a body but at the same time it was starting to prove to be a bit of a burden. She liked it better when she didn't have to worry about such things. On top of all that, her leg hurt from where the monster grabbed her and her feet still hurt from walking so far. "Damn.."

Orpheus smiled a little at her reaction to what he said earlier. He knew what she was thinking and hell, he could feel her fear flowing out of her like a water hose on full blast. When she started to walk away from him, he started to follow her until he was next to her. " Listen, there are certain things you can hide from me, and certain things you can't. Your emotions...is one of those things you can't." he told her shaking his head. He then let out a small sigh and decided to compromise. " But if you say you choked then fine, you choked. I won't argue with you any further." He said with a assuring tone. As they walked he caught what she was thinking, that she was could of handled it by herself, but deeper he saw she was thankful. But, he knew Aura would never announce that or even slightly admit it. So he just smiled with a feeling of achievement. But that was quickly put out when he heard something rumbling. He looked over to Aura and smirked as her stomach let out the noise. " And that would be your hunger. He said with a short laugh. "You know, its going to be a long trip walking to Glennwood. And even if you get there before you starve, how are you going to pay for food?" He asked looking over to her. " You could always kill an animal and eat it.." he paused for a second. "Or you can trust me and go with me. And I'll take you to lunch." He said looking forward once again.

~+~Aura~+~ Hunger? Beatrix was always hungry but she never felt her hunger pains. Aura mulled over her options for a few moments. Either go with him or she could fend for herself. She wondered if she could actually catch some kind of animal and eat it. She shook her head and frowned. Her fire was much too hot to cook anything without burning it and she didn't know the first thing about hunting food. She was sure Beatrix could but do it but she had never done it herself. Then there was the money issue. She had nothing worth of value she could sell. Perhaps she could steal but that would only get her into trouble. Her stomach growled again and she let out a soft groan.
She stared at Orpheus for a few moments and let out a heavy sigh. "...Fine. I'll trust you." she mumbled. She didn't like being around him but she didn't see any other way around it for now. Her options were very limited at the moment. Perhaps she could make some money some how so that she wouldn't have to rely on him. "...How are we going to get to this Glennwood?" she asked. She remembered the trick he could do with portals and wondered if that was what he was going to do to get them there for did he have something else planned.

Orpheus smiled at her hesitation at first. She was conflicted inside, wanting to go yet not wanting to go. He did wonder though, why did she hate him so. But then again, most her life inside of Beatrix was taking the hate, anger, everything bad and bundling it up until ..well Aura was created. So all she knew how to do is be hostile to everyone else. But, Orpheus thought that would soon change for the fact that The Da'vion siblings not only gave her a body but everything that goes with it. Every single emotion, every need...everything. She would live her own life, have her own feelings that were only made of hate and anger. No, she'd be able to experience love, real fear, envy. And sometimes, she wouldn't really know what it was she was feeling. But, he had hoped he could stick around her long enough to help her out. "Alright then. But don't worry how it is we get there." He said coming in close and putting his arm around her waste and taking her hand as if he was going to ball room dance with her. Orpheus then spun her so she wouldn't notice the rift opening up behind her. He kept her attention on him because he knew Aura didn't really enjoy those things. As they spun gracefully, Aura entered the rift with her back and they entered it and exited just like that. They were now in Glennwood. A lush city surrounded by the green sea. "Alright Aura, lets go get you some food." He said as some of the people actually noticed that they came from no where. Wide eyes were looking at them, but only a few. Most of the people were to busy with their own business. He grabbed her hand and began to take her somewhere. " I doubt you know this, but you know what you want to eat?" He asked looking back at her.

The future's just around the bend But always changing is the end Petty cash for hopes and dreams Nothing is quite as it seems... Eric Halen Has the future changed? --------------------------- Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Eric had had enough of Waiting. Everyone just stood there. It seemed like they were just trying to decide their next course of action. Nothing was happening, and it was a rather dull situation. It was time to go, and it seemed as thoough no one was getting the point. "Okay, it's time to go. I've already said what I think, and no one has come up with anything to counter my opinion. I say that we go now. We need to get out of here before we get eaten, or ripped apart, or god knows what. The point is that we need to get to the village right now." Eric sighed. He was getting irritated. Between his ominous vision, his emotional issues, and the fact that no one was moving, it seemed like there was no way anything could possibly be accomplished by the fortune teller. He couldn't quite see what was going to go wrong in the future, he couldn't keep how he felt about Eveline in check, and he definately couldn't excert any sort of authority over anyone. He was half tempted to just sneak into their heads and force them to listen, but that wasn't right. Then again, if it saved everyone, what was wrong with a little puppeteering?
Patiently waiting for a response, Eric began to think about other things, like his ominous vision, and Eveline. He needed to figure out a way to figure out who was going to be the one to do them wrong. He knew someone would, but he couldn't figure out who. He couldn't figure out anthything about this person. That was a serious issue. What made things even more serious was the fact that no one was well equipped to really defend themselves from anything. Their only option was to stick together and run for it, but the fact that one of them was the traitor made it hard to trust anyone. That made Eric turn his thoughts to Eveline. Ever since that day when Eveline's estate caught fire, he had developped feeling for her, but he had no idea whether they were reciprocated or not. Maarick had recently said that they were, but since when could Eric trust those people. They were so unnatural. They were so frightening. Wait, when had Eric become so judgemental. It must have been the stress getting to him. ...Telling lies to get your way Breaking hearts most everyday Go fill them with that which is fake The fortune teller's pay is at stake

RendusBard and Storyteller of the Greenvale Woods
Rendus snapped out of his shock when Maarick asked about the bard's familiarity of the other being. Rendus nodded, reluctantly, before composing himself again. "Yes, I am quite sure... This is a being that I met in the Forest of the Heart. The feline talks!" He said and then saw the being's tail curl in irritation.
Suddenly, the entire area was shaken by another bloodcurdling scream from the gigantic worm. The bard gasped in shock and flinched, taking several steps back as he turned his attention back at their enemy. The worm writhed in rage and let out continuous angry screams, as if the pain it received was barely intolerable anymore. "Maarick! What's happening?!" Rendus exclaimed in panic as he watched in horror. "Should we attack again?!" The bard asked, yielding his bow and arrows again, ready for Maarick's command.

Eveline Valdigraph Eveline quietly listened to Eric as he spoke to the group. She could hear the irritation in his voice and she believed that he was right. They had to keep moving before other monsters found them. She look out at the others an let out a soft sigh and took a step towards him. "Come, lets go.." She glanced back at the others and motioned them to follow. It was up to them if they were going to tag along or not but she didn't want to wait around any longer. "He is right...if we stay here, we will get into trouble. There's a village off in the distance and if we don't hurry...we won't make it before night fall." She glanced over at Eric and gave him a soft smile. "The others will catch up...We are all heading in the same direction."
Eveline walked past Eric and towards the direction that she had remembered the village was in. Her mind wandered back to her reason for coming out towards this part of the Continent. Her other brother was waiting for her in the kingdom of Dyfri. She wondered how he was doing in the city and how he felt about their father's and older brother's death. She shook her head and frowned. He was not like her other brothers and he was always so gentle. She glanced back at Eric for a moment and wondered how her bother would take to someone like Eric. He was very different from a lot of the men she had met when her father was alive. Then again, she didn't meet any men commoners, she was rarely let out of the house. When ever she was, she had to have an escort. Eric had been around ever since her estate was caught on fire and she was very thankful for his company. The noble woman's deep blue eyes scanned over his features for a few moments. She thought about his appearance and compared them to the noblemen her father set her up with in the past. She found him to be far more attractive than they were and much kinder. She found herself staring at him and a slight blush appeared on her cheeks. Eve quickly looked away from him and forward at the landscape in front of her. ((alright! time to get this going again. I miss role playing with people ))
But if it's true You can see it with your eyes Even in the dark And that's where I want to be
