 Taking a deep breath, Amelia opened the door silently and slipped into the room. She knew she was late, though this time it was her own fault. If she had come here straight from Transfiguration, she probably would have made it without much hassle.
As usual, her curiosity got the best of her. She'd felt air as she walked by a statue of Gregory the Smarmy. Not wanting to attract attention yet, she stood beside it, waited until the hall cleared out. It seemed to be a pathway, though to where she was unsure. She didn't go far down it, having realized the short time she had to make it to the class. Taking her seat, the furthest empty one in the back, she looked up and read the board. The questions about herself weren't so bad. Pulling out a piece of paper, she copied down the questions then began filling them in.Response 1 How do see yourself when you graduate Hogwarts ? Hopefully as an excellent witch; I will mature more while maintaining my gift to bring laughter. (It's a goal at least.)
Is there a particular branch that you will work into ? To be perfectly honest, I do not know of many possible jobs for witches and wizards. I could always be an herbalist, or a fortune teller, but my dad wants me to go into the military. Maybe a wizard police officer would be a good compromise.
Which wizard or witch is your greatest inspiration ? Luna Lovegood; from what I've heard and read about her, she understood the meaning of friendship and loyalty. Her belief in the unlikely was her strength, for she knew to have an open mind in which to learn. And those twins that created the Weasley Wizarding Wheezes: they knew how strong a laugh can be.
Is there a particular event that you love the most ? When the swamp area in the castle, which I haven't yet found, was created.
Which one greatly repulse you ? Bellatrix, well cast as she is, makes my skin crawl.
How do you feel about ''History of Magic'' ? I'm excited! I've enjoyed learning about the facts and people of history, though I admit to having trouble with dates. I am curious the differences between magical and muggle history. I can see a lot of events to be made much clearer.

THIS IS A CLASSROOM REVIVAL TREATMENT SHOCK ! Well, the concept wasn't my idea but oh well...
It's been a week and I'm sorry ! History of Magic classes aren't so easy from the start and I really needed a pause. Lessons aren't following well but then RL history classes never did have a defined timeline. Could students still interested to resume post in the following message ? I've noticed that new recruits joined the guild and although I won't doubt your activeness please follow suit.
As a students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, please raise your hand by stating your -rp- name and house. Or: Just write in a quick OOC stating you're still there !

Amelia flipped through the page idly. She couldn't get through reading the section because it was so wrong. Nowhere did it describe the energy particular animals held or that humans produced a stronger aura than any other, the aura that caused them to think on their own. Closing the book, annoyed, she went to work writing the true answer to the question. What did everyone do, ignore the emotions surrounding them? She thought she'd learn something about her empathic abilities, but it seemed to be the opposite here.
Still she turned in the paper, just about to take a seat, when the "revival" happened. The loud noise, more than any sensation made her jump, miss her chair, fall then roll back into a standing position. All those tricks sure did come in handy...though she still had a bump on her head where it hit the floor and was dizzy from the roll. But she looked good: that was the important part. Carefully she took her seat without a word, raising her hand obediently, "Ammy, you'll eventually call me Amelia Frances when I get in trouble, and I'm from Ravenclaw." She had a bad note of honesty when she got tired/bored. And at the moment, she was severely both.

Amelia couldn't help it: she giggled. "You're right, I should add I'm here too!" She nodded towards the Hufflepuff, "And he's too embarrassed to admit it, but he's here too." She flashed him a grin, to show she's kidding. In a soft voice, she leaned forward, and whispered, "Obviously I'm Ammy," she held out her hand, offering it to shake. She worked hard to be friendly to everyone, but sometimes people had to be laughed it. It was the way of the world.

She looked nice, and with that Ravenclaw badge on her robes she surely won't give him trouble. He smiled back. "I'm Nathaniel, nice to meet you." He looked carefully at her. She looked radiant and not annoying. Seeing a new face was good. "Well, I sure didn't notice you enter. How's the Hogwarts experience treating you ?"

Amelia couldn't keep the blush off her face when he reminded her of entering, "I wanted it that way...you see I was a little late." She looked side to side, before adding, "I got a little lost..." Which was completely true: she just did it on purpose. It still was bugging her what was behind that statue, but she planned to check just after the class ended. "I've just quietly been sitting here doing the work I missed." It was amazing how innocent she managed to look as she said that. But a sincere smile grew on her lips when she answered his question, "It's incredible. So many places to explore--things to learn. Though I worry about getting lost. Already I've been lost here more times than ever before. Why isn't there a map or maybe something that can at least point you in the right direction? It's like I know something's in the east wing, but I can't figure out where east is." She'd already decided that since Hogwarts, a History didn't have a map, there wasn't one available. Why she didn't know, but she wanted something to find her way around. Maybe compasses worked here?

Sparrow was sitting in her seat wondering when the next lesson would be. She wanted to learn more about the discovery of quidditch and everything to do with it even if she has read tons of quidditch books. Maybe Professor can teach them something she doesn't know about the history of quidditch. She hoped they would learn about it soon.

⒩⒜⒯⒣⒜⒩⒤⒠⒧ ⒲⒜⒭⒟ - ２ｎｄ ｙｅａｒ Nathaniel just looked into Amelia's eyes, nodding when it was time. An easy listening. He felt embarrassed though, didn't have much to say. Letting out an honest smile, well that simple for him, Nathaniel agreed with her. "Yeah, I know what you mean. Although it's my second year here, the first one still feel like a blur. I'm even surprised I managed to get through all this. The school grounds are amazing and so much happened here. All those paths leading everywhere, you can't help but wander around until you find something. I heard there's a magical map of the place. Wouldn't be surprised if the Headmistress has it."

Amelia's eyes lit up mischievously. The Headmistress had it eh? It'd be a simple thing to just borrow it for a little while. She should have known that the map would be magical--it would have to adjust, since the stairs did. Now only if she knew where the headmistress's office was.... "Hey, I know technology doesn't work here, but would a good old fashion compass work? It'd at least be helpful when I'm told such and such class is in the north tower or whatnot. " Amelia knew that he wasn't paying complete attention to her. It bothered her, yes, but she reminded herself that she wasn't so selfish as to really let it upset her. He probably just found first years boring. It was a general feeling, but some time soon he'd have to give her a chance. If she had all year with him, then eventually he'd like her. She didn't have to push it today.
((By the way, I have no idea if second years know the "point me" spell....especially since there's some worry that Hermione made it up. But I don't think she did, at least not in the fourth book, because she didn't approve of using non-ministry approved spells. But it's totally up to you.))
