Drake turned to the Uchiha, who had turned his head toward Drake. Wide-eyed, he asked Drake "How did you manage to acquire that sword?!". Drake saw that the Uchiha's sharingan had receded, and that he felt his eye to recede as well. "Quiet, damn it!!", Drake said to him, "Don't talk so loud.. drake stopped for a moment to listen, hoping he wouldn't hear any footsteps coming toward his room. Thankfully, there were none, so Drake looked back to the Uchiha. "Now. Before I answer any question you may have, I seem to recall that you never told me your name, even though I gave you mine. So, let's start there, shall we?" Drake said to him, now waiting to hear the Uchiha's name.

Takera calmed himself down taking one big breath and relaxing all the muscles in his body. "That is indeed true. My name is Takera Uchiha. I came here attempting to enter the chuunin exam and settle into this country officially. I've been on the move for a long time now. I had heard from a man infront of the restraunt that a leaf ninja wearing a black duster coat had arrived and he saw that you entered this hotel, so I came in the belief that it might've been you." Takera exclaimed as he shifted his weight from one leg to the other slightly and his head began to hang somewhat. "I searched myself for a sword, but I came too late and lost out with the sword from the Land of Frost. I've grown stronger and my power is now more flexible in the three styles of fighting, but I'm still too weak to accomplish my goals. Knowing this I also came here hoping to make an alliance. It seems you're much stronger than the time we last met and now you have Samehada, so you'd be an indispensible ally in the coming exam. We don't know what to expect from the exam and if teamwork happens, we'll have each other's back." Takera expained to Drake. Takera's head had risen back up to make eye contact with Drake once more while he spoke. "Make no mistake though. I didn't come here to hide behind you. I'm still much stronger than you in my current state, but now that you've got this sword people may come after you for it and by the looks of it you've become burdened with extreme caution. If I'm wrong then you why was I faced with a spear of lightning upon the door opening? You're worried and you know whether you like me or not that I can be of much use to you." Takera argued with a serious look on his face as he tried to extend his point in question to Drake.

Drake heard Takera say all this, and knew he was right. He was worried that someone might come and attack him for the sword. And, as of now, he had no way of using it, since he wasn't really taught to use any sort of weapon besides a kunai and such. Plus, he wasn't as strong as other shinobi, so that was another downside. But, an alliance with Takera would help him, at least for now in the exams. Drake thought about how Samahada could fit into all this. Then, Drake had an idea. What if he gave Takera the blade? It would take the target off his back, plus he would be allied with someone who could use the overly-sized fish stick. If anything, the fact that Drake would no longer be a target was a great thing. So, thinking it through one more time, he explained it to Takera. "So, by giving you the blade, you can use it more effectively than I ever could. It's true that I gained it myself, but I have no way of using it. Giving it to you is a logical choice. Just as long as you understand that by taking this blade means that you'll be targeted by people whom wish to get their hands on it, and that you'll by honorable to your truce." Drake said to Takera. Walking over to the bed, Drake picked up Samahada. Though he had the damn thing only for a few days, this was the best outcome. It's possible that the Elders might not know of him acquiring the blade, but just in case, he'll explain to them about the situation. Turning around, he held Samahada toward Takera. "Now,", he said, " do you wish to carry this burden? Understand that you can refuse.".

Takera became intrigued upon hearing Drake's offer. He knew that it meant a huge target on his back, but it was exactly what he needed and Drake seemed more than interested in placing the burden on Takera in exchange for Takera's support. He watched as Drake raised the blade towards him. It was true that the blade was heavy, but Takera learned how to get past inconvienances like such from the old man in Wind during his training so it'd be easy for him to make use of the blade without losing substantial speed to it's weight and size. Takera reached out and took Samehada from Drake's hands. "So then it's a deal. I'll take Samehada and shoulder the burden and in exchange my power will be of service to you." Takera lowered the front end of the blade and held it by the hilt. Takera gave some thought into how he may be able to get around the issue of being a target. So far the best anyone could find out is that Drake came into town holding a large weapon. If Takera took and hid the item on himself in a way where no one would know he had it, then the trail would run cold at Drake if they could make it that far. Takera pulled forth a small scroll from the back pocket of his pants. He bit his thumb and wrote onto the scroll with his blood. Afterwards he placed his bleeding thumb onto the butt of the hilt of Samehada. The blood faded into the sword and then the sword poofed into a cloud of white smoke that faded and the seal on the scroll became filled with writing. Samehada had officially been stored appropriated within a scroll to make the transport easier and keep it's existance a secret. Even if they were to find it, they wouldn't know what it held or be able to access it without Takera's chakra and blood. They could get 1 of the two very easily, but the other not so much.

After sealing the sword within the scroll and rolling the scroll back up, Takera proceeded to return the scroll to a pocket. He reached towards his back pocket, but stopped. It'd be uncomfortable to sit on given the circumstances and the idea was to keep it completely hidden. It'd stick out like a sore thumb. He placed the scroll in the deep left pocket of his pants and let his coat fall back into place. "This should keep Samehada safe until the time comes to use it. Speak of this to no one. As long as no one knows where it disappeared to, neither of us will have to worry until it's time to use the sword. I'm going to head back into town and see if I can learn anything about the exams that are coming up. You can stay here or go and do whatever you need to while here in Lightning. We'll meet up again soon enough." Takera turned and headed towards the door reaching out and grabbing the door knob with one hand and unlocking the bolt lock with the other. The door opened and then shut behind Takera as he exitted. He then commenced to make his way down the stairs and passed the front office on his way out. Once outside he made his way back to the area he had originally heard about Drake from and proceeded to use his Sharingan to try and gather information via lip-reading and over-hearing people speak.

Awareness Check: Looking for Takera

It was another five minutes before General Rai Oh walked through the front doors of the training facility holding a medium-sized bundle . There was a happy, yet distracted look on his face. Notwen had gotten to know the man long enough to know that something was bothering him. He walked up to Rai Oh and said,
"General, is everything okay?" The tall man looked down at his pupil and rested his left hand on the boy's right shoulder, while holding the parcel in his right.
"Yes, Notwen, everything is fine." he sighed. "Originally i was supposed to take you out to dinner to celebrate becoming a shinobi of Lightning, but i am being called away to a press conference elsewhere in the country." The General paused and removed his hand from the crippled Uchiha's shoulder. Next he began to unwrap the oddly shaped bundle in his arm. It was revealed to be a shoulder/chest protector with the symbol of Lightning Country masterfully indented into it. Notwen's jaw dropped as his eyes focused on the polished metal.
"General..." he said, looking at the tall dark-skinned man in the eyes. "I can't accept this."
"I am your overseer. It is my job to make sure you are doing well. I wouldn't be doing my job if i kept letting you walk around with your bad shoulder exposed like that." Rai Oh laughed at his own statement, something which always made Notwen smile. "Alright, let's see how this guy fits." The shoulder protector had leather straps that went across the chest and back, and me under the ribcage to be buckled.
"How do i look?" asked the crippled Uchiha, causing Rai Oh to grin.
"Like a true Lightning Country shinobi, boy!" Notwen's cheeks flushed, and the General caught sight of this. "Don't let my compliments soften you up, boy! Shoulders squared, back straight, eyes front!" The three-eyed Uchiha assumed the military posture in two seconds. "You're getting better at this."
"Thank you, General Rai Oh, sir!" said Notwen in a shaky army-like voice. Rai Oh smiled.
"It was my pleasure." He turned to leave but stopped halfway through the motion. "Which reminds me, a new shinobi coming from Wind Country also joined our ranks. What strikes me odd is that the kid had a pendant similar to yours."
"What?" said the crippled Uchiha, eyebrows knitting in a frown. "There are only supposed to be two ever made, and my brother owned the second one..." The General nodded grimly.
"That's what i thought. There are several things this could mean, so this is something you should see to personally. The kid wears a lot of black and has spiky white hair, so he shouldn't be that hard to miss. Good luck, Notwen." With that said Rai Oh disappeared in a poof of white smoke, leaving the crippled Uchiha alone.
Who could this guy be?! he wondered to himself. Only one way to find out... "Soul Spark!" he said and brought forth the fiery left hand. After weaving a few seals, Notwen conjured his eight clones. "You," he said, pointing to a clone. "Go to the house, get Novvus, and meet up with us. The rest of you, follow me!" Seven clones nodded silently and followed the original as he made his way towards the downtown sector of the village, while the lone clone went to the apartment and retrieved the puppet.

It took fifteen minutes for the white-haired boy to be spotted from the low rooftops. The first thing Notwen noticed was the kid's red eyes.
An Uchiha, huh? he thought as he activated his third eye's sharingan, which made his regular eyes turn blue with red tomoe. A small noise from behind made the boy turn around. The clone carrying his puppet had returned. "Good job." he said mentally. Looping the strap over his head, the crippled Uchiha watched as the boy he was tailing walked further down the street. "One of you, go down and see who this guy is." One of the clones slid down the wall of the alley between the the building they were on and the next. "The rest of you, keep to the rooftops and stay a bit behind them. Come on." They some clones migrated to the other side of the street while Notwen stayed back with the remainder and began moving ahead at a pace matching the white-haired boy's.

Below on street level, the clone caught up with the white-haired boy. He twisted the boy around to face him, but immediately frowned. The boy before him had black bangs and yellow highlights in his hair, as well as what appeared to be red contacts. He also looked like he was about to swing at the crippled boy, despite the latter fact.
"Sorry, wrong person...." muttered the clone before bowing respectfully and walking away.

Takera walked down the street watching people's lips and trying to gather info about the exam from different sources. Unfortunately he wasn't really picking anything up that wasn't already known or had nothing to do with what he was searching for specifically about the exam. He sighed and shrugged his shoulders thinking about it. His eyes faded back to normal and he stopped, leaning against the side of a shack/restraunt that had been next to him. I've got nothing. This search isn't bringing me anything and there isn't much else that can be done without going to some kind of higher-up in the village. None of which I'm very familiar with and I'm pretty sure they'd dislike me as much as everyone else seems to.. Maybe it's time to-- Takera thought before he lost the train of thought to the sight of a guy moving through the crowd across the way and down the street from the corner. The boy was wearing a necklace of a sort. Takera became intrigued by the shape of the necklace and remembered that he picked up a similar necklace to that one, but when he reached up to grab it and get a good look at it, he realized that he had left the necklace at his new home in Lightning. Intrigued by this, Takera walked back down the street he'd come from shifting and moving through the crowds of people until he had left the district that was so crowded and moved back towards his home.

He walked up the steps and wiped his feet at the mat before entering and kicking his shoes off long enough to go find the necklace among his things. Unlike his first glance at the necklace in the Land of Frost, it was different. It was no longer coated lightly in the ice that made it shine and hid it's obvious flaws and Takera was now really looking at it for the first time rather than the quick glance in Frost. The necklace was a far-cry from the pendant the boy in the streets had been wearing. It's made of a cheap crappy metal as well as being shaped differently. "...I can't believe I let myself get carried away like that. This thing isn't even close. I wonder though, if maybe I can salvage the metal and maybe get it used for the casing of a watch or something." Takera said in disappointment as he stuffed it back into the side of his bag and closed the bag, pushing it back into the corner. He sat and thought about how much time was wasted coming back, but at the least he put his curiousity on the subject to rest. He sighed and rose to his feet before slowly heading back to the door. He sat and put his shoes back on and then opened the door and left the house once more. I guess it's time I paid Drake another visit. Maybe he's done some searching of his own and came up with something. Takera muttered to himself before shrugging and sighing once more. He crossed his arms and thought as he walked down the street and passed the busy district he had been in. After a while he arrived once more to the hotel Drake had been staying at. He stopped infront of the hotel and looked inside. "I hope he's here." He once more muttered before going in and walking up the steps to reach the next floor. He peered over at Drake's door and walked up to it, knocking on it a few times and waiting for a response.

Quote:
Note: RPically the necklace was noted to be familiar, but never really confirmed to be related to Notwen/Novvus/etc. As it has no use/purpose due to a breach in agreement, it's being RPically written off and as such will plainly just be a cruddy necklace with no relevence to anyone. Just throwin' it out there so everyone's clear.

The clone returned to the rooftops with a frown on its face and mentally relayed his findings. Notwen sighed.
"The street is getting too crowded. Finding the right guy's gonna get too difficult under these circumstances, even considering what we already know about his appearance." Bringing his flaming hand together with his right, the crippled Uchiha dispelled the clones and began walking back to his apartment. Walking over the rooftops afforded him the peace and quiet he needed for his reflections. The fact that there was someone here in Lightning that had the necklace bothered Notwen, but there was also the chance that General Rai Oh's eyes had deceived him and he might have seen something else. The crippled Uchiha sighed and scratched the back of his head with his right hand. It was at times like these that he needed something to calm himself down and he had the perfect idea of where to go. Smiling, Notwen increased his speed to a steady jog as he made his way home. Ten minutes later he arrived at the apartment complex. His room was on the third floor, and after climbing the two flights of stairs he made a left and walked until he reached the third door to his right. The dark-skinned blonde reached into his pocket, pulled out the key, and opened the door to his new home.

Takera waited for a while, but got no answer. He shrugged his shoulders and scratched his head. "Where's he gone off to?" Takera muttered before moving back to the stairs and walking down them. He slowly walked past the innkeeper's desk as he seemed to be in deep thought. The innkeeper looked over at Takera sort of puzzled. "Sir? Shouldn't you be attending the Chuunin exams? Or did you opt not to compete? Maybe you should head out to check out some of the unique stuff for sale there. I hear there are exotic items being sold." He said with interest as if he wanted to go himself. Takera looked up and over at the inkeeper. "Where are the exams located?" He said in curiousity as he began to wonder if the event had begun without him. Is it possible Drake went on ahead of him? The innkeeper thought for a moment and then responded. "It's in the northern part of this country. In a rather nice, but large village called Gryu'jiong. You might want to hurry if you really are entered into the exams." Without another word, Takera rushed out of the Inn towards the direction of his house. "Crapcrapcrapcrap!" After jumping from rooftop to rooftop he landed down next to a building near his appartment complex and ran towards the appartment. He wasted now time and threw his fists back releasing a burst of wind at the ground and jumping at the same time. He was flung up to towards the 2nd story of the complex and grabbed onto the metal bars where he pulled himself up and ran down to his door. He unlocked the door and walked in, closing the door behind himself.

"It figures I was clueless about the exams. It's being held elsewhere in the country." Takera took his shoes off and got his stuff out laying out his weapons/tools, clothing, and other assorted goods from his bag and finally his mask. He gathered up some stuff and went into the bathroom. After a cold shower to calm him down, he got himself together and began thinking over the ideas for how he'd assess the coming challenges and potential conflicts. He splashed his face with water before running his fingers through his hair. Takera grabbed a towel and wiped his face before sliding his pants and body-tight black shirt on. Opening the bathroom door he moved out towards the table and began to assess what he had. Looking over his gear, he picked up the round sack that hangs off his belt and picked up his Soldier Pills as well as the scroll he'd been holding onto for Drake. He slipped them both inside his round pouch and clipped it to the back side of his belt. From there he placed the extra clothes he had inside his bag as well as the necklace and anything else he had other than the mask that'd be of use to him at the exams. He then picked up the mask and clipped it into place after shutting his eyes.

Takera took a deep breath and re-opened his eyes. His sharingan now active. "It's time to head out." He remarked picking up his bag and heading into the kitchen. He took a gallon of fresh water from the counter and wedged it into his bag as well as a package from crackers from the cupboard to snack on. He moved towards the door, but stopped realizing he was missing something. "...My coat." He turned towards the bathroom and grabbed it from the hook on the bathroom door it was hanging from. He swung his coat around himself and slipped his arms through then picked his bag up once more and headed for the door. Finally he sat the bag down in front of the door and sat to put his shoes on. Once they were on he got up and kicked the ground with them lightly to make sure they were properly fit and then he opened the door and closed it behind himself. He took a deep breath and moved towards the rail. He slung the pack over his shoulder and leapt over the rail to the ground below, releasing a burst of air to cushion his fall before quickly moving out towards the northern portion of Lightning to find the village of Gryu'jiong.

Later..

Takera came up from the path he'd been following to a fork in the road with a sign that marked Gryu'jiong to his left and another place to his right. He turned and began to walk up the path towards the village. After a while Takera began to hear people in the distance. It seemed he found the right place... or he found a village under seige and his day succeeded in getting worse than it was going to be.

Once in the village of cloud Kai signed a little as he got to the main office of the village, so he could pick up the some visitor passes and sign Aya and Hayato up for the exam, he also learn they would have to travel a little more to reach the village of Gryu'jiong a little north of the Cloud village. With another board sign that show he was a little bit upset about having to travel more, and it was clear he thought it was a hassle, he went outside and looked around for Aya and Hayato who he had told to stay outside while he did the paper work. "Aya, Hayato, come on lets get going we have to get to Gryu'jiong be tomorrow, it a village a few hours north west of this place, it is where the exam is going to be held so come on you two lets get on the way". He said a little upset, as he didn't like the idea of walking anymore seeing as they were now in the Cloud village, he was sure the exam were going to be held here so he didn't bother planning to go further, he moved a little and caught Hayato's collar and pulled him off toward the northern exit of the village as they set off again, once in place Kai bought them a ride on a market cartage heading to Gryu'jiong for the exam market, during the trip Kai handed both Aya and Hayato a lunch box he had gotten for them.

Mayu had been in control for a while now and was rather enjoying the new sights of the Cloud village, and happily looked around as they walked along the road, she was looking around the village and the people on the streets that she had had never seen or meet, and felt a sense of freedom being out of the Leaf village, she stood outside the office with Hayato as they look around, while waiting for Kai to return. Mayu wondered what the Chunin that were being held her were going to be like, she had seen some in the Leaf village when she was little, when Kai returned and informed they were heading to some village called, Gryon, Gryujiion, Gryu-something, she was a little happy that she would be able to see more, of the Land of Lightning, but was also confused a little she thought the exam were in the Cloud village, then again the flyer she had read on them wasn't very good. Mayu smiled and followed Kai, while in the cartage she was enjoyed the ride, it allowing her to look around without having to worry, and the lunch box Kai gave her was a bonus, it have one of her favourites in it, being the little sausages the had been cooked to look like little crabs.

Miestu sighed as she looked back towards the village and then she heard the bell announcing the exams where open at first she thought of finishing the mission but if she was late she would be disqualified and she didn't want that. "I think we need to finish this later i have to go to the exams." She said she didn't wait for a reply from Rizu she darted off dragging Zagula behind her she was in a hurry to get back to their house and make sure she had everything ready she hurried through the village talking back to Zagula while moving. "Sorry for the suddenness of this Zagula-chan but i have to be at the exams before they really get going to scoop out the competition, but you won't be alone I'm going to make a clone to escort you around while i compete. I don't want you sitting home alone." Meistu said with a bit of a smile as they rushed inside their apartment and she let go of Zagula's hand to search Zagula would hear a few things flying around as Miestu made sure she had everything she needed then with a grin she walked up and grabbed Zagula's hand again. "Ok I'm ready this is going to be a ton of fun." She said as she lead Zagula down the stairs and back through the village towards the exam site she could wait to sign in and see what neat things they had there, she had heard the exams where like a mini festival for the village they where held in and they where lucky enough to have them here this year. Miestu could barely contain herself as she wanted to full on sprint but didn't want to literally drag Zagula so she kept her jogging pace and they moved towards the exam site.
