Spirit looked silently up at the sky, her mind wondering again. She wondered what Alex would do once she was married.

Alex looked at the sky and took a deep breath. "Just a curious question: What do you plan to do after your married princess?" he asked, looking at her.

Spirit was surprised at the question and turned to look at Alex. She looked ahead of her again, "I don't know, just be the queen I was trained to be I guess. I mean, once I'm married to the prince we'll have to take over his parents throne." She looked at him again, "And what about you?"

He shrugged. "I don't really know. Maybe report back to the castle, keep being a bodyguard, maybe retire when i'm ready." he smiled. "You know, a good life." he said as he looked back straight ahead.

Spirit looked ahead again, nodding. Her heart ached at the thought of being separated from Alex. She put a hand to her heart, wondering what she was feeling.

"Princess? Are you okay?" he asked, looking at her a bit curiously.

Spirit took the hand from her chest and wet her lips. She turned, giving a small smile, "I'm fine, wounds hurting a bit." She lied, not wanting to make him worry.

He got off his horse and walked over to Spirit. He examined her arm closely.

Alex looked back up at Spirit and smiled. "Don't worry, its just a bruise. It will go away soon."
