"You couldn't get a torch or something in there?" Riley said as he returned, the pork leg being carried under one arm while he rubbed his lower back from his fall.

"Don't worry, I can get it." Mala said, heading out to get the water. As she passed by Riley she told him, "You heard the lady." Before long she came back in with the water, smiling still.

Ceri blushed a little. She smiled, and turned around to face him. "Just put it on counter please, Riley...." she said. She moved her bangs out of her face. She looked at him, "How old are you....Mala seems younger..."

"Nah, I'm the younger one. I know I don't look it, but I just turned twenty-three a little while ago." Riley said as he took a seat at the dining room table until he was called upon once more to help in the cooking.

"Oh....and I just turned twenty this past spring.....Mala never really told me her age...I just assumed she was younger than me-she looks it.." she said. Ceri made a face, and then shrugged. "Oh well, she must of had her reasons..." She took out a knife from the counter-holder. She started to carve up a little bit of the meat and started to put it on a plate.

Mala overheard everything that Ceri had said and chimed in, "I never told because I was never asked." She didn't sound at all unfriendly when saying this, but was simply pointing out the truth. "I'm twenty-nine. I know, I age well." she said with a small chuckle.

Rincewind walked back into the house with the bucket of water as he heard Mala say she was twenty-nine. "You look so young, though." the possessed boy said.

Mala's smile grew all the wider. "I know; isn't it great?" she asked, clearly proud of how well she seemed to be aging so far.

Van wisely kept his mouth shut on the subject of age as he folded his hands behind his head, balancing his chair back on its hind legs as he sat next to Riley. Physically he was twenty-seven when he got the godhood deal, but Riley and Mala both knew that he was at least a millenia old by now.

In a town not too far off, Milly was roaming the streets - a knife hidden in her long coat. If there is anything that she's learned, it's that it's never wise to go without something to defend yourself. Her steps were of the wary doe who's been hunted for all her life, her gaze showing clear signs of paranoia and worry.

Ceri raised an eyebrow. "Wow....That's just freaking crazy," she said. She shrugged, and took the pail from Rincewind and poured it into a pail. She was going to make a hearty stew for all the people in her house...The only problem was...Where were they all going to sleep?

"With regards to sleeping arrangements, I don't mind if I get the floor." Rincewind said, before covering his mouth with his hands. "How did I know you were thinking that?!" he asked.
(Before anyone asks, it's 'cause Vilrath is psychic.)
