It... It wasn't that good. Maybe she had too much of high expectation from the last dish. But.. This one was just average. Wasn't awefull, was great.. actually, perhaps it was more on the awefull scale than the good one.. whatever. She moved on
Next was... a horror. Did... Did Yoakim and Kade really do that? It was just a mess!.. And Ice Cream Mess! With.. A shrimp. What was a shrimp doing there? And... A mess! She couldn't forgive them even thought the were family. She took a very disapointed bite.

Well, the ice cream tasted good, obviously, but it's not like they had cooked it or anything... Next station!
Florence... She didn't even bother to look what the panda had done. She simply took a quick bite of it with her eyes closed, hoping that the memory of the fish-shaped cake would save her. She took a very dreadful bite.

It.. it didn't tasted that bad... But still, panda cooking! She couldn't bring herself to give a good note to a Panda.. Nope. She moved on to the final station.
Ah, the mysterious girl. She had expectation for her. She could save the day! She could have... a very good looking dish! What were all those colors one with? Oh, she had cut fruits to make little fish! So cute! Oh, that colis over there, it made a flower! And that cake was... a sponge cake? With pants? What the..? What would someone make a sponge cake with square pants? What was the point? Oh well, it still looked pretty...

Whatever it was, she didn't like it. She had no clue what it was or why she didn't like that taste but.. nope. Mistery Girl X had been disappointment after disappointment. Too bad.
She moved to the judge table and wrote down her scores. Her, not so high scores, again.

Gladice was done, so, taking his time standing up, Gaston headed into the stations. Who first..? Well, he didn't really care at this point. The last round had been such a disappointment that he could hardly imagine what they could come up with.. seafood dessert. He had tried a few things of that odd sort, if only because they normally fell under the 'exotic' category and he did love the rare and unusual. But, these people.. they were all so average! Anything they could come up with was hardly worthy of his time.. and he doubted it would actually impress. He paused before the Tepes boy. He had impressed him in the first round, but the last one was horribly lacking. Even if it looked above average, he couldn't say much for the man as he took a bite..

Mm.. It was.. well, average this time as well. What had happened to the delicious food of that fateful first round? It was as if it had been a fluke! He was beginning to wonder if that was just what it had been. Some odd mistake.. perhaps Gaston was remembering it wrong, maybe it had been someone more suitable to make that dish? He shook his head and moved onto the next person.
Haruka Koyama. Pretty, young girl – he didn't think she should win, as the last round had proven, but her dish looked better than last. Better than Dante's, at least. She had the skill to be better, but this was better than he had been expecting. Mousse.. He didn't know if it was his favorite dish, but mousse was pretty good. She made it look nice, anyway, even if.. Hold up! Did this have anything to do with seafood?! There wasn't even a fish-shaped fr- unless that one was meant to be.. a clam? Oh, no, wait, he could see it! They were just horribly misshapen fish! Crabs with no legs and fish with no fins! That was what the crescent shapes were meant to be! He smiled, proud at himself to be able to decipher the shapes all on his own. He took a spoonful and tried it..

He frowned – yeah. Average. He drawled out a sigh and set the spoon down. He had seen fast food cooks do better! Really, what was wrong with these people?! Could they not know how to do something as simple as color coordination?! Taste was the basics of basics and they barely surpassed that of his mother! ..Oh, he loved his mother, but the woman had horrible taste in chefs. He remembered the gruel he had to put up with growing up.. He moved to the next station before some odd series of flashbacks could begin as a result of the average cook.
Leroy Hunt and Joshua Pyre.. Mm, ugly cooks, usually bad cooking.. He took a look at the food they presented and blanched. It was horrible! Again! He was losing faith in humanity through this contest! Sure, everything was cut nicely, but what use did that have if the design itself was a washout? He rolled his eyes at the scruffy teens, raising an eyebrow as it seemed the girl's boyfriend wasn't even paying attention. Were they still cooking something? Seemed very intent on that oven.. Well, he supposed a woman was meant to do the cooking anyway. As long as it wasn't burnt this round.. He took a bite of the cake and expected the worse..

Hm.. That actually tasted pretty good! He took another bite, but, even with that, he still couldn't give them a higher score. If only because of the horribly tacky design. He walked onto the next station and saw his adorable little panda there, looking as proud as a kindergartener with his little dish. This was the first time he was expecting his master to come around and taste the food, so he watched the judge lean to pick up the food and give it a taste. Whatever the food actually looked like didn't really matter to Gaston for this was his panda! A Sonata could never do wrong, after all! Even with that last.. er, mess up. It was just a little fluke as, quite obviously, Florence had done perfect this time! Just look at the careful placement of fur, the smears of random colors.. It showed such passion, emotion! Better than any Picasso!

...Apparently.. Apparently, a Sonata could do some wrong. He forced himself to swallow it, but had to cough a few times from the hair. Oh.. Oh, why, Florence?! Why couldn't you be as good as the first round, what had happened to Dante and Florence? His two hopes in this contest? He took a solemn air as he trudged over to the next table, the school pair. Herman Frisk and Winifred Bloom. Let's see.. oh, oh! It looked a bit above average and certainly cutesy enough! He smiled slightly and cut into the bright, red lobster cake, taking a bite. How could they improve so much..? Well, by the way they were both standing, it seemed that the woman had taken over. Of course! Pretty youth would do much better than an old, dying man! It made perfect sense – why hadn't the pair thought of that before?

..Eck. Average. Again. He rolled his eyes as his hopes were shattered, left to wonder just how a woman, a cute one at that, could be so normal. But, then, he had thought enough on that in the last round. He shrugged and set the lobster down without much thought, clattering the plate against the station and moving onto the next. The gay pair again. He was truly on the verge of – OH. He so was! Look at.. Look at how horribly.. What was wrong with the hairdresser?! He gave a scalding look at the man that just said without words, 'I'm so not letting you touch my hair ever again'. It made next to no sense to boot! Shrimp? Ice cream? What were they going for? It looked like they had just gave up! He took a bite of it with a frown, not expecting anything good..

What in the seven – My god! It tasted horrible, looked horrible, probably was made horrible as well.. It was just overall bad. Why had they even entered?! He creased his brow in wonder and awe that these two had thought they could get anywhere in this contest. Were they idiots? Were they so sheltered that only they ate their cooking.. and even then, were they idiots? To not taste how dreadful or see how horrible it was? He was conflicted between pitying them in their ignorance or forcing them to move away so he would never have to see them cook ever again. Instead of choosing either, he moved onto the next table in hopes that that would lift his spirits.
And it did! Mystery Girl X had done.. pure.. utter.. PERFECTION! It was beautiful, nay, gorgeous! Elegant, wonderful, superb! He couldn't stop looking at it in pure wonder at how angelic it was.. sure, it was a little cartoon character, but it simply had the feeling of art, which was what cooking was all about! He bit his lip and stared at it longingly for minutes before daring to get a bite.. He was in love! He simply had to find out who the creator of this masterpiece was! HAD TO. Oh, wait.. hold on, he had to stop himself from declaring that to the world. He still had yet to taste it! Silly him! He chuckled at himself and took a bite, but he knew that it couldn't be anything but godly.

...Oh. Gaston sighed. Of course it wouldn't be the best. It was average, but with that display, he supposed that made it better. Still. Not good enough for his undying love. Pity, he would have bought her a jet to show his love. That or a giraffe. It didn't matter now, though. He moved onto the German pair now and frowned at them. They had disappointed him in the last few rounds and this time it didn't look any better. He raised an eyebrow at their display – eh. Not bad, not good. He wouldn't give them any points for it, though. The ice cream smelled odd and that sauce looked.. strange. ...Well. He had to at least give it a try..

The round was, overall, average yet again. Gaston set the spoon down, actually surprised by how it didn't taste very bad at all. Still, it didn't change his perspective on this contest. He went back to his station and went to watching Florence chew on his toes. The animal would need a bath.. Oh, well, he would have his new ser- er. Yeah, that thought could wait for later. Instead, he focused on longing for that magical first round, in which almost everyone had done perfect! Or at least one or two did, which was far better than what these last two rounds had to offer.
