Jarlaxle looked at the newcommer, recognizing him as a fellow River Clan member, and dispelled the globe of Darkness, figureing that he might help him get rid of the intruders-with or prefferably withouot continueing the fight.

The creatures, with the darkness gone, vanished. "Ladykai is quite busy. But I have some authority. Whatever you can tell her, you can tell me." He looked at Jarlaxle. "You're river clan?"

Jarlaxle heard a small squeak, and turned around, holding up his hand as a small black bat lighted down on his hand. Almost the second it landed, it turned into a black swatch of cloth in the shape of a bat. He looked to the other three, then turned and went a distance away, leaning on a tree while pressing the cloth to his pointed black ear.

I look at Jarlaxle with a puzzeld look on my face. "What is he doing?" I take a glance at the other two, and continue looking at Jarlaxle, with a cloth pressed to his ear.

He nodded, smiling, and put the cloth into a small pouch on his belt, and returned to the group, casting a knowing and unsettling glance over at Blackstone.
