Caleb's world rocked as Alex smacked his helm with the broadside of her sword. Not like he wasn't used to it from basic training. But her berating didn't help, KP was no issue to do. But her comments about him being not worthy of his armor and not being knightly. That set him over the edge, furious icy blue eyes turned to Alex. She was still smacking him with her sword. He timed it the when she took her sword back, he would step forward closing the distance. He was not very tall compared to the rest, for once his dutiful demeanor broke to anger. "I care more for his life then him getting a stupid leaf creature" he began "I won't let any more comrades die for STUPIDITY!" he yelled to her "my life is already forfeit so I only care to keep others alive" this time he was calmer as this was his feeling as a knight. This may do nothing, it may do something Caleb wasn't sure.
((I am sure she will rage on him still though...))
Even has he spoke and she continued to walk away from the rage filled ignorance, she carried a calm and superior demeanor. Not even bothering to turn to face his retort, she made her own quip.
"You know nothing of sacrifice or the value of life. So the next time your comrade needs you, I'm glad to know you will stand there like a log and do NOTHING. Especially to an onslaught of whistling acorns and twigs. Humorous. Truly."
It was obvious that she and the two others students were ignorant fools and Caleb had all the brains. Bullocks. If he wanted to act valiant and be dumber than a box of rocks, she'd treat him as such. "Oh! By the way, don't bother following until you do what you are told."
With that, her and Doc were out of sight with Exceed in tow. No doubt he'd give Caleb an annoyed look but the three of them were gone, leaving Caleb to his own lunacy.

Wax watched the ground, Leafayette was busy making rude gestures at Caleb. Wax felt bad for Caleb, but his actions were unnecessary. He wouldn't put himself in danger without a plan, and even so against such tiny creatures in a small number, he would have been fine. Wax snapped out of it and looked at Caleb, taking Leafayette off his shoulder and holding him close while keeping his arms bound. Leafayette was not appreciative, and began to chitter some more, no doubt cursing Caleb in Leshy. Wax watched Caleb, and then spoke. "Comrade. I'm sorry you're being punished. But I'd have been fine. I trusted Lady Alex and you all to cover me in case something happened. But please, don't speak ill of Leafayette. He'll be vital in my research and growth through the coming ages. He's our friend now, and as our friend I expect you to treat him nicely. Any ill will you bear against him, you bear against me." Wax turned around, and followed Alex, letting his words sink in.
Caleb grumbled as she walked away. He paced for a few minutes to calm down a bit before heading off. His armor was staying till he was in the city walls. He needed to get the dirt, muck and water off his armor anyway. -exit-

The slinky pitch feline took it upon herself to venture into the woods alone. Seeking out the forbidden fruit that supposedly smelled like rotting flesh, a putrid, rancid carcass stench. It was said that the plant was red with green splicing, though she had never heard of such a thing. Most plant life in Nocturne was only that of underbrush, pine trees and a few winterous weeds. This place on the other hand was full to the brim with a euphoria of unknown existences.
So in Kit went, her paws nearly silent as she looked about. Her nose raised in hopes to pick up the scent.

Deeper into the woodland, the light growing thin and sparse. In a few rays did it shine through the leaves. Luckily she had no issue with the dark, being a cat and all. Kit hopped up onto a large root, looking around at the surroundings. There was a whiff of something, it was hard to tell from this distance if it was the plant or a rotting animal. She hoped the former. So she started to head east, ears laying flat as the girl awaited any sneaky creatures to jump out.

Under roots, through rotten logs filled with fire ants, in the valleys of mushrooms...Actually, she would need some of those. Sitting down, the cat morphed once again, limbs stretching and snapping as Kit returned to a presentable humanoid form. Smiling deviously, she carefully plucked up a few different specimen, placing them neatly into plastic bags and into the satchel for safe keeping. A sweet hum coming from the grinning lips that brightened the entirety of her face. It might be awhile before she stumbled upon the plant but it would eventually be found. One way or another.
Turning around, she was took another gander at the area. Peering through the darkened veil for rip red fruit.
"Aha."
She huffed proudly, standing up and walking straight to the plant. It was rather obtuse, smelly at that. Eagerly the fair girl grabbed up several rinds, shoving them all in her holding bag. It was getting heavy and full, she'd need to head back to Nocturne soon. With one less component on the list, she returned to the friendly cat whom wandered out of the woods and on to the next area.
Silently walking through the Eerie woods without his dragon. A hunter stalked his prey silently from the distance. His prey in mind was on of the few Emerald Kings said to wield great power amongst it's peers. Bob wanted that power for himself. Taste it to be exact. It was only during the hunt that the voices stopped. Everything became so clear. Jeff, the dragon was soaring above the tree awaiting a telepathic signal from, Bob to strike. Looking around at his own surroundings the boy tried to find his partner, but failed. The large cat was always good at hiding himself. Clutching his dragon bone spear in his right hand, Bob signaled Jeff to follow the scent of his spear since the tree blocked the dragon's view of what was happening. Silently pulling his arm back, Bob threw the spear with great force towards the Emerald King who was looking in the opposite direction. It appeared to be observing the forest silently. It was only then that it became clear that he had been detected. He was getting baited. A pillar of earth arose from the ground blocking the spear which pierced through it, but not strong enough to touch the Emerald King. "JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEFFFFFFFFFF!!" He shouted launching himself towards the prey like a lion after a gazelle. A gazelle that instead of running fought back throwing a barrage of earth boulders at his face. "********" He mumbled before getting launched back. The Emerald King grinned at his triumph just before he felt the wind change. Jeff came smashing down on the Emerald King before announcing, "MY NAME IS JEFF!" The Emerald King used his earth magic to sink into the ground and resurge away from the large dragon.
It had been days that the two hunters had been tracking the Emerald King, some hunts could take even longer, this was quite a short one. The two hunters were known around by their names, Felix and Bob and the pet dragon named Jeff for that was what the dragon could say. The Emerald King was quite a rare creature to be found one of the few of their kind but not to hard to track down. it left foot prints, broken branches, bodies of the weaker animals, a trail for the two to follow and having the dragon fly over them also made all of that much easier. This was the day they had their eyes on the prize. Felix was quick to find himself hidden in brushes and not even a few seconds later he would become invisible using his camouflage, no noise would be heard coming from the cat as he circled around his prey, he could see Bob heading directly towards their target meaning he was going to be the distraction for the day. Felix quietly watched as Bob began the assault, first throwing his Dragon bone spear towards the King but being abruptly stopped by the creatures magic, and then very quickly Bob also launched himself towards the creature but finding some earth along the way, this was good, Felix was able to see what the creature was capable of, soon after Felix would hear branches breaking from the top of the canopy, it was the Dragon coming to help them but failing as the King dug himself into the ground and then quickly appearing somewhere else, this was the chance Felix was looking for, quickly making his way towards the king he would jump with his trusty knife in hand, revealing himself just before the stab in the back, quickly making himself scarce again before the King even knew what hit him, quickly hiding in the bushes nearby, soon the King would become weak and slow and that will be when the true assault will begin.
Bob ran towards his dragon who had Bob's spear in his grip. The beast looked down at his master and handed him the weapon. "You didn't kill it. WHAT THE ******** MAN!?" He shouted punching the dragon in the leg with force. It didn't hurt the dragon, however. "MY NAME IS JEFF!" The dragon roared before flapping it's wings and flying away from him. Jeff was a very sentimental dragon. "Oh for the love of God man!" Now he was left without a dragon and Felix was nowhere to be found. Finally he saw the big cat man thing. Or at least he thought he did. There was a blur then he was gone again. Too fast for him to clearly see. The King looked like it had been wounded by something. Felix was maiming it so that he could pounce on it for the kill later. The boulders flung at Bob had stung a little, but weren't any big deal or detrimental to the fight. Bob wanted to talk to Felix and tell him that those rocks hurt for only a little graze at the prey, but it seemed like the King didn't know it was someone else attacking him. "It's just you and me big guy!" He shouted running towards the King with the spear clutched tightly. The King scowled and immediately raised minions of earth to combat Bob. The boy's mouth would stretch open as several jagged teeth would appear similar to a shark reaching for it's prey. Bob munched on each of them leaving gaping holes in their bodies before reaching the king. "Surprise!" He shouted taking a chunk off of the King's arm. The King shouted trying to shake the monster off, but couldn't. His jaw was the true monster in that situation. Finally, it created a diagonal pillar of earth launching Bob away.
The King dashed away from Bob towards a patch of light in the woods. The moment it found the light it would begin to heal a large amount of it's health.
Felix had once again made himself invisible to his target, for him this was the Thrill of the Hunt, making his target question himself, fear, feel weak and controlled for the forest was Felix's play ground and the King was in it and could not do anything about it. Felix watched as the little commotion between Bob and Jeff happened, it was strange sight to see in the middle of a fight but Felix had grown used to it, even when the Dragon flapped away from them it only made Felix chuckle but no noise would be heard from the cat beast, turning his focus towards the King who looked like it was summoning minions of his own, they looked small and weak, nothing that Bob could not handle and that was proved once Bob started biting them to death, Felix never got used to his fellow hunter but in the other hand Felix was sure that Bob never got used to Felix going invisible on him, Felix waited for the right moment to engage the king and he knew it that it would be right after the Bob was finished with his biting, as Bob took a chunk from the creatures arm, it was a good hit but Bob had also taken a hit, the creatures magic was starting to bother Felix a bit, the creature would head towards a are with a patch of light and that was the perfect moment for Felix to strike, the monster was desperate, Felix would move with grace and speed and as soon as the creature would start healing Felix would jump towards it, tackling the King away from the light at the same time stabbing it in the chest as both were in the ground Felix would roar at the Kings face, echoing through out the forest, Felix could see fear in the monsters eyes but even before the monster could react Felix was once again no where to be found, Felix would make his way towards his hunting partner and give him a hand so he could get up. "Shall we end this?" Felix would say with smirk showing his fangs.
Bob swallowed the delicious flesh and made a loud gulp in the end. His jaw was completely out of place due to the pillar hitting him square in the jaw so he used both hands to fix it making a loud cracking sound. Something began to gnaw at the back of his head, but for the moment he had to ignore it. Felix finally decided to make himself known and attacked the King head on. The boy slowly walked towards the two with his hands tucked in his pockets with a look of indifference. The spear would be left where it was for, Jeff to pick up later. As he approached the two, Bob could tell that, Felix had mortally wounded the creature. "Took you long enough." Bob said leaning down to inspect the King. The gnawing came back. It was familiar, but he just couldn't put his finger on it. Spitting out some dirt left over in his mouth from the minions, Jeff answered Felix's question. "I guess so." And with that said, the boy's jaw ripped open as he consumed the creature bit by bit. Once he was done consuming it, Bob finally realized what the gnawing was. Taking a deep breath he could feel the presence of 5 other Kings. Not only with his own powers, but he was in tune with the earth around him. "Oh boy." He mumbled wiping away the King entrails from his mouth. They weren't close enough for an ambush, but were approaching Bob and Felix pretty quickly. "We got some more of this guy's friends coming." He said getting back up on his feet. Five A ranked enemies all together. It wouldn't be easy even for efficient hunters such as themselves.
People hunted all the time. It was a way of life, how people ensued things that weren't theirs. Money, power, love, and even anothers life could be portrayed as anothers to steal. It was all very interesting to Ophelia, and as she sat in a nearby tree watching the sun beat down on the life of the forest, she became sort of... enhanced to go hunting. Maybe it was to train Ibuki more, or maybe it was because she was lonely and a bit bloodthirsty when she heard a commotion deeper into the territory. She sat there for several seconds, telling herself it was better if she didn't get involved but she couldn't help but creep forward to peak at what was going on. Three beings attacking an emerald king, and eventually winning the ordeal. There was a dragon, an animal-like humanoid, and a human looking one. They fought skillfully, and Ophelia watched while racking her mind of who they might be. She heard rumors while in the cities, she heard vast ones about different people. These guys in particular were hunters, so she tried to remember any famous hunters she heard of. Gary... Yvin... Bob... Felix... Yvin... She finally decided on them being Bob and Felix, but she wasn't one hundred percent sure. Once they were finished with the single emerald king, she jumped from her hiding spot within the tree tops and introduced herself. "Hello, wandering hunters. I'm Ophelia..." She arrived quick enough to hear Bob talk about more of the beast being on their way. "Then it's an even fight, right?" She summoned Ibuki, and was prepared to face off with them. It wasn't much of a 'hey, lets be friends' situation but Ophelia was bored.
Felix was sure as hell that he would never get used to Bob eating things that way, Felix was the monster looking one but Bob was the most inhuman of them both. "Hey dummy! Next time leave something so we can prove that we killed the thing to get the bounty." Felix would say with a so not amused face, now they had nothing but their word to prove that the creature was slain and most of the time people did not believe in the word of strangers, especially ones that travel around a lot. The moment Bob said "Oh boy" Felix knew there was trouble heading their way and then Bob mentioning that there were more Emerald Kings around, it was mostly a relief for Felix, he wanted to get paid from this job. "That's good, at least we get paid after this job." Felix would say as he cleaned his knife on the grass, as soon as he was done with that he would hear branches breaking above them, Felix had his blade ready to fight whatever came towards them, from the looks of it was no monster but a girl. "It was never a fair fight in the first place, lady." Felix was indeed suspicious of the girl, she had just came out of no where in the middle of a forest, for all he knew she could be a witch, Felix once again made his not impressed face when she summoned her dragon. "Ohhh great! Another Dragon." He would say looking at the green lizard.
Bob ignored the cat's remark about his eating habits. Felix should have known by that point that trophies and boasting were stupid ventures. The only thing that mattered was becoming stronger than before to take on even greater monsters. Either way there were more of them approaching so proof would be plentiful. "Money, money, MONEY!" Bob shouted. "So simple minded I swear to GOD!" Bob was about to go off on his hunting partner when a new entity approached the two seemingly out of nowhere surpassing both of their senses. The boy immediately jumped back looking for his pear which was still back where he'd left it. Too far to be used at that point. "Holy s**t! Where the ******** did you come from!?" He shouted wondering if there were others that he and Felix didn't sense before. There wouldn't be any time to find out as the King's were already on them. "Jeff you better ********' come back right about now..." He grumbled a the King's circled him, Felix and the new woman along with her own dragon. "I need to go get my spear...GOOD LUCK!" He grinned before running straight towards his spear leaving Felix with the woman. Two Kings would follow him leaving three with Felix and the woman.
The Kings were fast. Catching up to him just as he was about to grab the spear that was stuck into the ground. Bob jumped sideways grabbing the spear with both hands and swung his body around to come back and kick one of the King's in the face. The other King would use some sort of earth spell that encased it's body in some sort of earth armor. The fallen King would rise and perform the same spell. "Well s**t." He grumbled spinning his spear and running towards the two.
