Epcot Illuminations You guys should start thinking of how you are going to take affiliates. Also my offer still stands for my radio station. I do have it already recorded into my show. It's not hosted on gaia, nor is it just for gaia. It is an online radio.

They were all interested in the ball, and will most likely be attending.
Once I'm done setting up the bump thread, (should be done tomorrow morning)
I'll see if I can plan any roleplays. I'm a bit swamped at the moment. ^^;; Thanks for doing all this! Just don't bite off more than you can chew. I'm starting to wonder if I've done that with my hosting duties, ball fundraisers, two guilds I own, real life responsibilities, etc. sweatdrop But, I think I've finally got everything just about ready. Sometimes I feel like I'm trying to juggle everything, and end up dropping a few things in the process. Send me a link to the thread you set up, and I'll bump it. biggrin If everyone in here told people they roleplay with about the ball, then that would be something big in itself. i just think it stinks that so many roleplayers have no idea what the annual ball is. @Epcot - Do you have a link for it? What site hosts it?

FAL:ISHL:ESIGHSE OKAY LET'S DO THIS, I am so sorry, I've been busy but it should be all good now. FINALLY, I think.
If this roleplay thread is a sort of main information hub for the Annual Ball in general, then I'm thinking that it might fit more into the Commerce section. It depends on what the actual roleplay setting is. If we emphasis the simple yet symbolic idea of a ball, then it might be easier since we could just have it at a castle of sorts and have some light roleplaying going on there--that could fit into the Barton Town forum, though, if we want.
That's just for roleplaying, though, and OOC (out of character) stuff shouldn't happen in that forum. So, we can either make another thread in the OOC forums or simply direct them to the guild!

The idea of a castle and light roleplaying sounds wonderful.
Nothing serious - a roleplay where you could come and go as you please.
Like you said, we can link an ooc thread to the actual roleplay.
There we can answer any questions roleplayers might have about the ball,
and/or direct them to the guild. c:

The set-up wouldn't be all the complicated, either. An easy description of setting and what the ball is, then they'd be free to hang out as they please.
Do you think we should have another thread as OOC or just link them to the guild, though? Since there is no official "Annual Ball" guild for all balls, we'd have to constantly redirect them to next numbered ball each year.

We can always create an ooc where, on the front page is a link to the planning guild and previous balls. Then, if they have any questions or if they just want to chat, we can reply through the ooc.

Yeah! I was thinking that either in the OOC or main thread, wherever we put info/history about the ball (so most likely on the main thread's front) we can include those links. That whole thread should be a hub to re-direct any potential ball-goers/helpers to wherever they want to go.

We also need spiffy links to put in our profiles to make people click and find out more about the ball. I know that I'm a curious person and often follow the links in people's sigs. I'm sure that I'm not the only one to do that.

As for the roleplay, although it will be very laid back, I think a basic plot is needed. Since it revolves around a castle, and we want to keep it traditional,a possible plot could be roleplayrs being invited to a ball held by a king and queen to celebrate...something. Maybe the birth of a child? A wedding anniversary?
I dunno...just ideas. xD

Here's an idea: Have the plot have something to do with the king and queen of summer inviting people to help everyone lose weight after eating too much pie. Then, after a month, the king and queen of summer can point everyone in the direction of another group of powerful rulers, the sins and virtues. It sounds right in my head at least? xd
Umm... Let's see, it would need to be something that really stands and grabs people's attention. It can say something as simple as, "What is the 9th Annual Ball? Click here to find out!" Something simple yet bold would definitely be best. 3nodding

Ooh. That's a cool rp idea. I like it and I definitely won't mind roleplaying that. What do you think Crystal? C:
As for the title, all I know is that it needs fancy text, with all the symbols and stuff.
Being someone who refreshes Barton Town every other minute, I can safely tell you that Gaians tend to click on roleplays with all the symbols and fancy lettering. xD

Any simple plot will do just fun. It will probably end up being "the royals are throwing a party and everybody's invited" sort of thing, as most of these ideas seem to be.
And really, Harmonic? I don't usually cruise through Barton Town much anymore and mainly stick to the Commerce. In the Commerce, things must be different, then, because fancy font doesn't seem to mean anything there. XD
Which brings me to the other question, although I think this is easy to answer. Barton Town or Commerce forum? It could technically go in the Commerce, but of course Barton Town is so general and most Gaians probably wouldn't bother making the extra click through to the Commerce anyway. I would say Barton Town, but I know the Commerce set-up is perfect for what we're trying to do here.
