Belissa was in the garden. It was the only place that she could find peace in so she could calm down. Stupid administration! Belissa let out a frustrated scream and kicked a rock sending it hurtling down the path. She had been out exploring some of the caves around the grounds earlier that morning, and when she got back to the castle the staff had sat her down to have another little heart to heart about her favorite subject. Her reckless abandon and desire for adventure. Adventure in the great wide somewhere; that's all that Belissa wanted. The staff and professors clearly had something against it. "Princesses don't go hang-gliding or spelunking, Belissa. At least not yours. Now why don't you go find something ladylike to do. Perhaps go read a book or lie in a field? Hmm?" Belissa let out another frustrated scream. "Do you hear that administration! You can suck it!!!" <******** them, Belissa thought as she took off for the woods. She sprinted hard and fast deeper into the forest. Finally, she had to stop running so she could catch her breath. Belissa doubled over because of a side cramp and grabbed onto the trunk of a large oak tree for support. She stayed there for a while listening to the birdsong and her own heavy breathing. Belissa sunk down to the soft moss and leaf covered ground. Standing bent over was too painful. "Damn professors,"she spat

Belissa had no idea how far she ran or where she was. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going when she was running. All Belissa was focused on was how fast she was running and avoiding hitting trees. Bell chimes broke the quiet of the forest. "Oh s**t! I'm late for lunch," Belissa thought. "Well," she thought getting up and dusting herself off "I supposed I aught to try to find my way back" And face whatever reprimanding the admin want to give me this time, she added in her mind.

Belissa, easily enough, was able to find her way back to the castle. The walk back was peaceful enough, and the foliage was just beautiful. The butterwort, the clover and the wild violets were astonishing, and the red squirrel were so cute. She wished so much that she was able to actually see her parents. "Oh, Mom would love to talk pictures of this! Dad too!" Belissa let out a heavy sigh as she bent over to pick a wild violet.

Belissa wandered back into the castle through the garden. Thankfully there were no professors in sight waiting to ambush her and pull her aside and talk to her again. Belissa listened to her footsteps as she walked down the stone hall towards the dining hall. She dodged some hubbub in the hall. Looks like there's going to be a fight, she thought. There was Stetson and Andy, getting to live the adventurous life that she wanted. Belissa was so envious. She went inside and grabbed some lunch and went to take a seat towards the end of the table. I wonder where Bianca is. Belissa could hear voices begin to raise out in the hall. Better go try to stop somebody from getting hurt. She left the dining hall leaving her lunch on the table and saw Andy shoving Marcel around. "He needs to learn to control his temper," she muttered under her breath. Belissa walked up to Marcel and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, do you want to come eat lunch with me?”

The sleeping blonde was far off in dream world, reminiscing back to her days where life was worth it. The dreams were sweet and calming, but like all good things it must come to an end. The form of ending was a creak of a door, and a familiar voice forcing her to wake. “Bridgett.”

She grumbled in response, then shifted to look at her good old friend, Ayden. Only looking for a moment more, she decided sleep was far more worth it, so pulled the covers over her head, and let out an exasperated sigh, before harshly nagging “Shut up f**, I’m sleeping.”

Movement around her told that he wasn’t leaving, and she felt the covers move as the lanky boy crawled in bed with her. With any other guy, the next movements would be kissing her to arousal, but with Ayden, he just pulled her delicately into his arms. She smiled and laid her head on his chest.

Thoughts in her head prodded that she had to tell him something. She thought for a moment and for a moment more, but she couldn’t think of anything. There was something important, something relating to a lady… Oh, that’s it. She thought as her mind recalled the conversation with innocent Bianca. She said her next statement nonchalantly, still too tired to put much emotion into anything.

“Andy’s after Bianca.”

There was a responsive grunt, and with an annoyed tone, he responded.

“I know. He asked me to team up with him.”

Bridgett laughed; it was so like him. Andy would think up an amazing plot, but he rarely seemed to work alone. He needed a wing man, and Ayden seemed as he would be the predictable culprit. However, to what must have been Andy’s dismay, Ayden was far more clever and slick than anyone gave him credit for. “And you said?”

“I said, I was closer to both Bianca and You than he ever dreamed to be, and if he wanted anything from either, he had to back off.”

She felt a bit of annoyance with Ayden using her as his pawn, but he had to have thought further than just using her. It was unlike him to go after anything with at least some thought, he may have been laid back, but he wasn’t dumb.

“Why did you do that?”

“I figured his jealously would make him go after you, isn’t that what you want?”

His response was witty, and what seemed as well thought out, or at least an excuse he created before approaching her. It could have worked, and her heart beats speeded with the thought. She knew she wanted him, and Ayden knew also. Nonetheless, there was one flaw, he would never want her the way she wanted him. “All he wants is sex”

“And, what do you want.”

She looked up at him, her eyes flooding with sorrow. She may have never acted desperate in front of him, and he had never seen her tears, but Ayden saw near breaking point. This was one of those times.

“You know…”

Her voice trailed off, and she became more aware of how she was laying with Ayden. It hadn’t brought forth butterflies, and she knew it never would, she didn’t see him that way. He was forever her best friend, and no one could take that place. Yet, she wanted something similar with Andy. It was dumb, and something she should have strived against. Yet, just as everything else Bridgett did, this was reckless, and she would pick up the pieces all by herself. Unfortunately, she wasn’t sure if this could be fixed like everything else. Maybe she was just broken forever.

“Out of all the boys that are begging for you, why him?” She had thought this over endlessly; why him, the boy who never cared? All the other boys would die to be with her, and it wouldn’t take much effort. Yet, she wanted the one boy who hadn’t cared. She must have liked the challenge.

“Everyone else is too easy, no one else understands, and no one else is as fun. You know the drill.”

She had answered this to Ayden before, and after that, he always changed the subject with some humor. Classic Ayden, and Bridgett wasn’t surprised when he changed the subject.

“Maybe you should just stick to being a villain.”

She laughed, and smiled at him with twinkling eyes. All before cuddling closer to him, it was so easy to be with him. She didn’t need sex, and she didn’t need to fuss. All it was was easy love and friendship. That’s when she had an epiphany…

MARCEL J. CASSILEN

Him? Stupid? The little Aladdin had better look at the situation again before he started mocking other’s intelligence. Not only was Marcel taller than the ’Arabian street rat’ he was obviously bulkier than him as well. A fact that was even more clear as the other walked up to the retreating back of the devil and pushed at his shoulder in aggression, the action only causing Marcel to flinch away from the touch as he squared his shoulders in a attempt to rein in his emotions. On a good day Marcel wasn’t the touchy-feely sort and with his general short temper in the morning he was even less so.

Marcel's temper was something notorious, his spiteful anger even more so when provoked. Something that the school has been trying to control for some time but have never quite been able mold in their favor. It ran swift and came as quickly as it went. Another reason that some people didn't want to deal with him. And though he hadn‘t known the guy for more than a few minutes he had certainly met him at the ‘right’ time to make a lasting impression.

Hey, he did try to give the guy an out while he still had the chance. But like he said....some people were just too stupid to see it. Within barely a second Marcel whipped around, the act knocking off the girl's hand as his fist made a harsh flight for the boy's face. Truly he hadn't heard Belissa's invitation, his mind barely registering her presence in the act of pulling back a temper that he knew didn't completely match the situation. It was a miracle that he didn‘t hit her as well considering his focus was for Andy and him alone at this point. And because of this he felt the barest sense of regret in letting his temper get to this point as the heat bleed away from his gaze. Taking a deep breathe to further cool the fires and flexing his right hand to relax it from its tight clench, Marcel stood there for a moment. Almost contemplating what had just happened before he finally spoke, “ I don‘t know how you made it around here so long without some kind of filter between your head and your mouth but you need to find it before you seriously get hurt.”

Marcel wasn‘t the kind of person to play with words. And even with the kind of circus he had to play with when he was a kid he hadn‘t been one then. But even he knew that there were some things that you just didn‘t say. Something this guy still had to learn he just realized. Almost made him feel like he had just picked on a little kid. But he wasn‘t for apologizing either, especially after he had just made a deciding action. So he just left his advice at that.

“ I‘ve already eaten something. Plus I‘m late for class as it is. Maybe some other time.” The words were a calm refusal to Belissa‘s invitation of lunch. The end statement like a apology even if he didn’t offer one. But it probably became a moot point considering he walked away before he could get a answer from her.

Sierra eventually realized that there was someone walking (more like taking a step ever few seconds) right beside her. "Has chivalry truly died even in fairy tales?" She almost glared at Stetson as he mockingly walked with her and his lack of help. She wasn't all that sure why he wasn't offering, but it didn't really matter in the end. She wouldn't have accepted it. Probably.

"By the way, what happened to make you fight Aladdin?" It had been a stupid move in her opinion. Seriously, boys and their fights. Then again....it was the street rat. Andy always played with girls and thought himself the best. There was a big difference between actually being the best and believing it when obviously you were pitiful. Andy was the kind of person she'd have no problem cutting down.

She'd managed to get much closer to her dorm, but she needed a break. She found a bench nearby and sat on it. Her pants had risen enough to display her bloodied bandages. It was a testament of how much pain she was in to not even bother hiding them.

She looked up at Stetson waiting for his answer. Always Bianca...It really wasn't ever enough for the vapid little Snow White was it? How much drama from just today revolved around her? What was so special about her? It didn't make sense to Sierra at all. Was the weak personality? The beauty of the other girl? Maybe talking to Stetson would reveal the answer.

It would also push back the impending breakdown and make her focus on something than the pain (not that she was consciously aware of doing that).

Stetson Schraeder
The King of Thieves

Smirking silently, Schraeder offered his arm to Sierra, and held it there insistently until she took it. It was quite clear that she was in pain, and she wasn't going to ask for help - and if it came down to a queen's pride against a king's pride...well, women weren't well-known for being reasonable. Especially not royalty.

He guided her to the bench, mulling over her question in his head. His response, he knew, would have to be thought over well. The king couldn't afford to simply sling statements left and right. Once Sierra was seated, Schraeder took a step away from the bench and crossed his arms.

"That disgusting little rat has been an annoyance for far too long," he said, his savageness slipping into his tone. "It was high time someone showed him how worthless he was." Schraeder sighed. "But I suppose that's now what you're asking me. I'm not sure what you've heard, but Andy attacked Bianca in the woods. When I went to talk to him about it, he assured me that he would do it again, etc. When I...advised him against it, he attacked me, so I put him down."

He glanced back at Sierra. "Does that satisfy you?" he asked, smirking again.

The big strong fist hit Andy squarely in the eye, sending him reeling backwards onto the ground. Andy gasped and scrambled up from his place on the floor, holding his head in one hand. He looked scared, really scared for the first in in a long while. It just occurred to out hero that Marcel was very big, very strong, and very easily angered.

"Holy s**t! Y-You punched me in the face! Y-Y You Monster!"

Andy took a few more steps back, tears welling up in his already swelling eyes. It only took a split second for the kid to decide what to do... He should run. And run he did. The poor guy ran though the quiet hallways unsure of where he was going, but he still covered his left eye with his cupped hand. It hurt like hell and he was afraid that it would never stop.

"a*****e..."

It was a few minutes before Andy made it to his dorm. He whimpered and locked the door behind him, going to lay down on his bed and feel sorry for himself. He head throbbed and he knew that he would look hideous for the next week. Who would want to be with someone with these kind of disgusting bruises? Andy sniffled, unable to keep the tears from overflowing out of his eyes.

He didn't know where he went wrong... Why he was always being attacked. Aladdin pushed a pillow against his face and tried not to fall apart completely. Unfortunately he did. Soon the kid was sobbing quietly into his pillow and curled into a ball on his bed. He was scared and confused and in pain. So much still made no sense to him, so much was still completely foreign and odd. Andy didn't want to be getting picked on all the time like he was, he just wanted to have fun... But everyone hated him because of it.

When his tears ran out and his pillow was rather soaked, Andy became silent and very still. He wished he had someone he could go to, someone he could get comfort from, someone to talk to about this... but there was no one. Bridge?.... No she was mad at him and a girl... She wouldn't understand. Andy longed for male friends, guys to hang out with and mess around with like back home... But he couldn't find any here.

Belissa was a bit shocked at how rude Marcel was to her. But then again, she thought he is in the middle of a fight, and knowing his temper I’m lucky that I’m not getting punched. She wasn’t quite sure what to do about this situation; she could either step in and stop the fight or just let it happen. Belissa was leaning more toward just letting it happen. She was still furious with the administration for taking away the life she loved. Besides, her minds voice said with rising venom, I’ll take great pleasure seeing this little street rat, who get the life that I want, punched to the floor. She let out a small chuckle and noticed just in time Marcel’s fist hurtling toward her. Well, not her per say. It was going for Andy and if she happened to be in the way, Marcel’s fist would go through her to get to him. Like any smart person, Belissa ducked to doge the fist.

She watched the ensuing events in what appeared to be slow motion. Something that should have taken a split second seemed as though it took five minutes. Belissa saw Marcel’s fist collide with Andy’s eye, which caused Andy’s head to reel backwards. Then, with joy from her jealousy she looked on pleased when she saw Andy make the slow fall down to the stone floor. THUD! She heard the sickening sound of Andy’s body hitting the floor. Her jealous being couldn’t help but be pleased until her kind and caring self took over. That was when the slow motion ended and everything went back to real time, which suddenly seemed so much faster.

Belissa wanted to get a closer look at Andy to see if there was anything that she could do for him, mainly because she suddenly felt bad for him. Nobody deserves to be hit like that. She paused. Retraction, he does deserve to be hit like that for tempting the Devil, but I should have stepped in and did something more to stop it. My envy shouldn’t have gotten in the way. Just as Belle finished her thought she noticed that Andy had gotten off the ground and was running away. She heard Marcel speaking to her, and turned to look at him. Something about how he had already eaten and he’d take a rain check on her offer. Belissa couldn’t respond because he walked away before she could say anything.

Belle went back inside the dining hall to eat her lunch alone. She got to her seat and found that her lunch had cooled to a lukewarm. Great. Belissa sat down and began to eat the mediocre food. It would have been better if it was hot, she thought. She just hoped that none of the professors or staff would come in and interrupt her lunch wanting to talk about her actions earlier today.

In a matter of moments, the laying down Bridgett was now sitting up and babbling in a very animated voice. Ayden watched in shock, as he tried to grasp what she was saying. It continued for awhile, until she realized it was going over his head, so she slowed down, and looked at him smiling. “You should be my boyfriend.” Wait, what? If Ayden wasn’t confused before, he was confused now. Nonetheless, she had a very serious look on her face, which proved this was a very serious plan.

“Why is that?” He asked this slowly, trying to do the math in his head. All that came up were a bunch of negatives. Maybe she was using different numerals.

“Well, why else? Jealousy. The whole reason you used me in your little pawn, the whole reason you want Bianca all of a sudden, the whole reason for everything. People go crazy because someone else has the person they want. You and I date, and who would go crazy?”

Who would go crazy? Obviously, they were aiming at Bianca and Andy; but would that really work? Bianca obviously had plenty of men after her, with Stetson and Andy practically fighting like dogs. Would she even bother to go after Ayden because she believed he had someone else? He was her Prince Charming, tied to her for all eternity, would him dating someone else drive her his way?

“Come on, you have to have more estrogen in you than that, I don’t call you f** for nothing. This has to work.” She was now on her knees bouncing; smile as wide as the east to the west. Somehow her mind was somewhere else than his, it seemed impossible to him.

“Explain…”

“God Ayden, maybe you are manlier than I dared to believe. If you and I date, Bianca’s gonna realize you aren’t hers forever, that if she doesn’t even give you the time of mind, you’re gonna be in someone else’s arms, someone who happens to be insanely hot.” She paused at this, fluffing her hair, then laughed a bit before continuing on. “She’s only interested in the other guys because she knows it forbidden; she’s leaving you because she thinks you’ll always be her safety net for heartache. You’re not there, than she suddenly wants to make you stay there. Typical girl mentality, it’s so dumb but so insanely perfect!”

As she said this, her tone was bubbly and she jumped at every word. Ayden watched her with a raised brow. If this was how girls worked, he wasn’t so sure he wanted to be part of it.

“What about you, what do you get out of it?”

Her smile grew even larger when he asked. “Well, Andy, duh. He wants me because everyone except himself has me. Now, if I’m in a relationship, I’m no longer up for grabs, then it’ll drive him even more insane.”

Ayden thought this over. Why would her being with another guy make Andy want her, really want her. He was the type of guy who’d rather have girls chasing him, or so it seemed. Nonetheless, maybe because Bridgett wasn’t chasing him it might make him go after her, Men and their pride? Yet, he could imagine it adding up to failure. “Sounds like a recipe for heart ache” he muttered under his breath.

“Shut up. Now, ima go pretty up, then we’re gonna be together. If anyone asks, we had a fling going on for quite some time, but you wanted more. I so happily obliged.”

Ayden scoffed but she was already up, and skipping towards his bathroom. He could hear her looking through his makeup trunk. Everything that was his suddenly became hers; His makeup, his clothes, and even his bed. Apparently, now it was his relationship status.

“And you wonder why I thought you were gay. You have more makeup than me!”

She mulled as she looked through, obviously having herself a ball. Ayden laid back on his bed, unsure if this was a good idea or not, knowing he didn’t have much say. It felt like he was already taking part in far too much scheming, and he wasn’t up for it. Nonetheless, if this could get Bianca with him and Andy with Bridgett, it may have been worth it. If not, they could end the ‘relationship’ with no problem.

Hopefully, everything else would fix with equal ease…

Sierra would have hit him had she been in reach. This arrogant man was treading on one of her remaining nerves. "No, that does not satisfy me. One would think that a man as smart as you would realize that fighting would only push Bianca away. Your little summary does not explain exactly what happened." She lessened her glare somewhat as she ran a hand through her hair. "I do agree that the street rat needed to be taught a lesson."

She'd never really met Andy (thank goodness) but she had heard much about the boy. "You might have put him down temporarily but how do you know he won't be looking for retribution?" Andy, from what she knew of him, preferred running to fighting. Was he so much a coward that he would attack Stetson from behind? Would the disgusting teenager even attack the King? "Where is Bianca right now?"

She rested her hands on the cane in front of her and watched Stetson very carefully. If this king was trying to show his dominance with his haughty attitude, it was going to take more than using her pain against her to beat her.

"Excuse my curt tone," she said in a way that insinuated how much she really didn't care, "but please explain what happened since the last time we left. Try not to leave anything out? Such as the fact that Bridgett was there to watch this fight along with Bianca?" Yes, she knew more about it than she portrayed and she could guess what happened. She would not be treated as inferior - she was equal to this man. Sierra simply preferred to know the truth and if she had to go limp towards Bianca's room, she'd do it.

Stetson Schraeder
The King of Thieves

The King paused when he heard what Sierra had to say about Andy. He had considered the idea that Andy might try something again; it was an idea that brought great pleasure to Schraeder. He would never grow tired of knocking that little cretin on his a** over and over again. However...the idea that he might go after Bianca? That was new to him.

"I seem to have underestimated your sources," Schraeder said. "I won't make that mistake again." He came and sat next to Sierra, tapping his chin and thinking for a moment. "After we split for class, I was out walking on the grounds when Bianca came running out of the forest. She was crying and shaken up, so naturally I stepped in to help her. She told me that Andy had kissed her, against her will, and she had hit him."

Gently touching his face near his nose, he continued, "At that point in time, Ayden came around the corner and saw that Bianca was crying. That foolish lackie jumped to conclusions and punched me in the face. The only reason he's not on his way to the hospital right now is that Bianca asked me not to." Schraeder's fists and jaw clenched as he thought about Ayden - he had nearly forgotten that he was still going to destroy that boy.

"Anyway...at that point, Andy showed up, so I decided to take him out into the trees and talk to him." Schraeder held up a hand. "Actually talk, because Bianca asked me not to destroy him too. However, the little ******** started to act all smug, and then he said...he said he would do it again, and he would go farther." Schraeder looked away. "So I told him that his life was a fragile thing, and risking it was a terrible idea. And I choked him out."

Sighing, he said, "Of course, the fool tried to attack me after I let him go. So I beat him down and choked him until he passed out." He looked over at Sierra. "And here we are. Anything else you'd like to know?"

Sierra sighed. She finally got him to see that she wasn't a dimwitted person and ought to be treated as an equal. She was the Wicked Queen for goodness sake! Sierra knew how to be ruthless and was a more than capable leader. This wasn't the time to be ruthless or bossy - this was the time to listen.

And listen she would.

"You still have not mentioned Bridgett part in this fight. Do you know why she was there? Did she attempt to help Andy or hinder you in any way?" Oh she knew Bridgett was watching but that doesn't say whether Bridgett wanted to stay on the sidelines. She was a new chess piece on Sierra's board and the Queen wasn't sure where the Sea Witch's loyalty would be. If rumors were to be believed, she was already ******** Andy and would be by his side...and Andy would choose to keep the school going. Bridgett was also good friends with Ayden and Sierra had been planning on getting Ayden on her side. Could that possibly turn Bridgett against the Academy?

She sighed. More to think about at a later time. "By the way, I would like for you to leave Ayden alone for the time being." She'd heard his anger and knew he didn't like Prince Charming. "Bianca will end up hating you if you harass him. Use this chance to show that you are better than petty revenge and therefore the better choice." She needed Ayden to remain unbruised for the modeling job. "I understand if you want revenge but wait until the time is right."

She looked over at Stetson with a wry smile. "Thank you for explaining to me what happened. I know I am not the easiest person to get along with nor the first to go to for a heartfelt talk." She would have kept going, but she found someone coming down the hall waving towards her. Oh Lord. It was the one person in the entire Academy that could actually make her cuss out loud.

It was the Beast. She wasn't sure what it was that he found interesting about her, but he always made it a point to say hi to her when he could. "Well well well. What do we have here?" Sierra stood up rather quickly and was ready to leave. "Stetson, I'll see you later. My door is open to you should you ever feel like talking more." Whether she was leaving to talk to Martin privately or attempting to run away from the Beast was unknown.

As she hobbled off uncomfortably, Martin Chevalier followed after her sending Schraeder a quick wave. "Hey. Heard about the fight between you and Aladdin thanks to the rumor mill. Nice job." Then quickly caught up to Sierra's disappearing form.

Ryan stood behind the counter of the lunch line and waited patiently as one of the cafeteria ladies fetched him a bowl of cereal. They just ordered him a whole box of those serving sized plastic bowls of assorted cereals. When the woman came back she was holding a little container of fruit loops. She handed it to Ryan with a smile and patted him on the shoulder. He was a favorite here, a good kid who was always ready to lend a hand to the staff. The kid thanked the woman before taking his leave, walking out into the hall.

With his ginger hair and bouncy walk, Ryan was quite the entertaining sight. He poked a hole in the waxy paper top of his fruit loops with his thumb then dumped a few into his palm. The kid got two red O's and a yellow O, once he made sure that they were in fact fruit loops he popped the sweet treats into his mouth and kept on walking. That was one of his favorite perks... If you played your cards right you could get almost anything you wanted. Ryan chuckled as he thought about this, he really was a good kid, He just used the system to his advantage. His delicious sugar cereal flavored advantage.

Ryan ate cereal and made his way down the hallway at a meager pace, he was headed to his room to get his second book bag for his afternoon classes. Having to many books to carry around all day he had to split it up. Apollo's room was not to far out of the way if he hurried. By the time he got there, he still had ten minutes to spare. The red headed wounder put his brown canvas backpack over his right shoulder and ate a couple more fruit loops. He looked around his room, double checking that he wasn't forgetting anything then he walked back out into the hall. On his way to his next class he saw Sierra and Martin. Marty was a friend of his but that Sierra girl always made Ryan nervous, she was to mean.

"Hey Martin, Sierra. Having a good day?"

The Greek god walked up beside the two on Sierra's side to be able to include her in the convo when he really just wanted to talk to Mart. He smiled warmly at the characters and took notice of Sierra's cane... Then her feet. She had bloody badges around her feet... The sight of the blood seeping though made him almost vomit on the spot. His pink face grew sickly gray and he reached out to put a hand on his friend's shoulder, keeping from falling over.

"Oh God Sierra... What happened to your feet."

Ryan didn't mean to be rude, but he was completely surprised, and didn't know what else to do. This was how he reacted and he didn't like to see anyone suffer or any one be in pain. The sight of blood often time caused the kid to faint. He was not one to be strong or brave.

ooooooooooooo M a r t i n

oooooooooooooooooooooooooo C h e v a l i e r

Martin had a pretty good morning. No one had bothered him and his teachers had been nice to him. He wished he might have seen Belissa more but that was okay. He had the rest of his life to be with her. Him, a mere piece of filth! Martin didn't know what he'd done to deserve a place in the life of such a strong, kind girl. All he knew was that he was going to make sure he kept deserving it. He was inspired by her to be a stronger person. She was so sweet and he liked how she had no fear. He envied that aspect of the adventurous bookworm. Maybe one day he could suggest that the two of them do something exciting (once he plucked up the courage to venture out into the world) as a surprise. She was his closest friend and he truly cared for her. There was very little he wouldn't do for his very best friend.

At third period he turned in his homework and waited for the day's assignments. He always fell asleep in the class and he always apologized but the teacher was really really nice. He understood that Martin had sleeping problems - maybe it was narcolepsy - and never blamed him for it.

What Martin never remembered about third period was the fact that this teacher always awoke Dark for the class. It was very easy to frighten the young boy and usually showed a video or a sound clip of a girl crying to revert him back to his timid self. Martin's eyes would glaze over, pop his neck to the left, and blink twice to turn into Dark. The same pattern occurred when reverting back to regular Martin.

"Aw hell yeah! Gonna be fighting now?" Martin believed he was only researching different fighting styles for this class; Dark was the one who executed those techniques. Dark was amazing at fighting! Thanks to the Academy, he could take on 7 grown men at once now. Who was a badass? Dark was. He left class before he could see a crying girl though - today he was walking free in the daylight.

Dark Martin had been one of the first to eat lunch and left just as quick. He wasn't a fan of people in general. Sure, he liked Belissa well enough but she hadn't been there. And he'd have sat with Sierra but it wasn't worth getting in the way of her apparent new popularity.

The fact that she looked hot in her gym clothes had nothing to do with it. Really. Now shut up.

And then he would have followed her out but he got bombarded by some brat who was spreading gossip. Who what wait now? "King of Thieves verses Aladdin? When did that happen?" The boy said something about Snow White being involved and that it looked like Schraeder had won. "Huh. Thanks for the info."

By the time he'd found Sierra again, she was talking to Schraeder. "Well well well. What do we have here?" Sierra immediately recognized him for who he was. She was awesome like that. She didn't fear him and better yet, she knew all about his screwed up mind and she still treated him like a person! Hell yeah! He said something nice to Schraeder and then ran (psh like she could outrun him) after the icy queen. He knew that she liked him and that they could call themselves friends. They both had to keep up appearances - her with the icy b***h attitude and him with the quiet ('cause really, he couldn't do timid at all) attitude to keep people from wondering about him. There was only so much Sierra could do to deter the rumors (and yeah, he knew how she helped him out like that).

"Whoa now. What's up with you? A crippled blind monkey could walk faster than you." She had glared at him and kept walking. Really, the girl amused him; she was so ******** up in the head with insecurity it was kinda cute. Now Belissa was cool and all, but she didn't really need him to take care of her. Sierra did. And he kind of liked the idea of taking care of someone. "I don't suppose the excuse of tripping down the stairs would work on you would it?" He laughed. "Woman, you ought to know me better than that. Now come on--what the ******** did you do to your feet?" Finally he saw what had happened. "s**t woman! How the ******** hell are you even walking?"

Then one of Martin's friends came by. Dark knew to be nice but he really wanted to cuss about the state of Sierra's feet. "If I have to carry the both of you to the nurse's office I will." The Beast was strong enough to do that. While blood may have sickened Martin, it did nothing to Dark Martin.

"Would you believe me if I said I stubbed my toe?" Dark glared at her as she used a different excuse. "What happened?" She looked away from the boys as she answered, "Do you know what happens to the Wicked Queen at the end of Snow White's tale? She is sentenced to death by wearing heated iron boots and dancing until she dies. I have to practice dancing in them for class. Not heated to the point of melting fortunately, but they are still a bit painful." She looked ready to cry and that was enough for Dark to go back to normal. This wasn't over for Dark. He'd be back to talk to her when they were alone.

"Oh my God! Do you need to go to the nurse?" Martin wasn't sure what all had just happened, but he knew that she needed to get off her feet. "W-would you like some help?" He knew what it was like to be in pain and never show it. Maybe he and Sierra had more in common than he knew...though she was still kind of scary when she was mad. Then he saw that he wasn't alone and that his friend was in a similar state of disgust. Okay. So he wasn't the only one to think her feet looked terrible. "Thank you for the offer Martin but I think I can get to my room by myself. I have some bandages there to rewrap my feet."

He didn't think she should be alone. "Um, we could help you. I mean, those cuts look pretty bad. You should probably get some kind of cream for them or something. Don't you think so Ryan?" He knew how to bandage injuries and how to apply creams and stuff so that it didn't hurt, but he had no idea what medicine was needed for what. And his buddy Ryan was really smart. Martin trusted him a lot, and if it ended up that Sierra did accept the help, it would be better if Ryan was there with Martin. Not that he was afraid of being alone with Sierra, but it would help to have someone there who knew what he was talking about.

"I-I... Can you carry her to her room? I can run to the nurse's office and get some new bandages and some antibiotic ointment. But some hot water in the sink too when you get there."

Yeah Ryan knew how to treat almost any kind of wound, he had taken a couple classes in medicine but he got woozy really easily. The redhead gave a little smile to the girl then turned and ran down the hall, he would get everything he needed and be back in no time, or at least by the time Martian got Sierra back to her room.

The kid made it across the building faster then he thought was possible, he walked into the nurses office with just a knock and headed straight for the cabinet. He knew what he needed and the woman let him do what he pleased. Ryan took out a box of wrap-able bandages, gauze, and a roll of tape, he also grabbed a tube of antibiotic ointment. With all this in hand he ran back across the building his side hurting from a cramp... by the time he got to Sierra's room he was gasping for breath and ready to pass out.

"I-I Got the st-uuff! "

Ryan put everything down on the table and walked into the bathroom to soak a hand towel in warm water. Once the towel was soaked her wrung it out and walked slowly over to where Sierra was, kneeling down in front of her he looked up and gave a little optimistic smile.

"Um, Sierra? Can I- Is it okay if I unwrap, your feet and treat them? I promise I will be very gentle and I know what I'm doing... I want to help. okay?"

The kid didn't want to touch the girl without her permission, she was in pain and from what he knew, people who were in pain were not always thinking straight. Ryan, took off his purple sweater to reveal a cream colored T-shirt with a pterodactyl drawing on the front. He placed his sweater aside and looked up at the girl again.
